Again, be informed that Edo State elections are always 100% about what is happening within Edo State and never whatever is happening in another state or at the national level. Therefore this result is a bold statement of Edo State people's rejection of Obaseki's hypocrisy of attempting to become a godfather just four years after he accused Oshiomhole of same and got the people's support to kill Oshiomhole's similar attempt after Oshiomhole himself got the same people's support to kill the godfatherism of Tony Anenih and Gabriel Igbinedion.
To Edo State people, nothing is not worth sacrificing to fight godfatherism hence just as Ize-Iyamu was rejected in 2020 for having Oshiomhole as godfather despite being miles ahead of Obaseki in terms of intelligence and capability, Asue Ighodalo has also now been rejected for having Obaseki as godfather despite showcasing the best qualities among the three top contestants. The stock market is full of Oando-like opportunities. What is important is to get into the market without procrastination. However, it must always be borne in mind that making money through the stock market is not a trial and error or emotion game but a function of deliberate research and understanding of the market. The OANDO you say you missed out on was such a laggard on the exchange for the past 12 years that no one ever had any reason to believe it could today become something anyone would have a reason to regret not buying. But here it is today. The units of OANDO I had before this rally were not bought by me because of any future hope in OANDO but because I bought them as far back as 2007 with a broker which was later suspended by SEC hence I couldn't sell them and God so kind I didn't bother about transferring them to another broker all this while else I would have sold them as soon as they arrived at the new broking firm.

The only time I enter stocks like SEPLAT is when it falls by 10% for three to four consecutive trading days. Under such a circumstance, the threshold volume is easily released by the major holders to drive it back up.

Regulatory changes are very slow in the NGX. They have been talking about changing this 100k unit single trade for more than 5 years.

But it wasn't so initially. I recall that in the days of Onyiuke Okereke (permit my possibly wrong spelling) a stock like NESTLE needed only 5K units to move.

You won't even be surprised to discover that despite SEPLAT's very low outstanding 583 million shares, its free-float might be about the minimum 20% allowed therefore making the tradeable shares in the neighborhood of just 117m. Then one can now understand better how bad the 100K units difficulty is for the stock.
My prayers are with those in SEPLAT and similar stocks.

It might not get it unless one of the ogas does the needful.

It has actually happened in several years here only that the difficulty is in spotting them and being strongly convinced without listening to the side talks that could shake your conviction. Take OANDO for example. Do you know the internal and external battles fought by those who bought into it with the hope of this kind of deadly rally? It also happened in CHAMS last year. Even UCAP did some 300% earlier this year and is on the way again trying to repeat it.
I don't even doubt that of UCAP with a 6 months time frame from now. Mark it.

That is the nature of investment. Unpredictable as the Nigerian Stock Market may be, it still remains the shortest cut to overnight wealth in a legitimate manner. It is just to spot two opportunities of stocks that will do 500% one after the other all within a year, and then put N10m in one, and when it is done, you put the loot in the next one. Within that year that will become roughly N250m

I too have always disagreed with the philosophy that one hasn't made a loss as long as one hasn't sold.
Those who held shares of certain companies which later folded up or delisted have lost even though they didn't sell.

Once it's confirmed from your target broker that they have submitted all necessary documents, all that remains is in the hands of cscs, No broker determines that.

If it's from an existing/functional firm to another operating firm, it will also depend on the firm you are moving from ie how quickly and willing they are to process your request.

In all, nothing less than 4 weeks from the date your new firm submitted the required documents all things being equal.

I need advise, i have been observing Oando shares gaining 10% on a daily basis. I am seriously considering selling off all my other shares and use the money to buy Oando. Imagine what 10% could do to my small portfolio on a daily basis. To make money fast, one needs to be in this stock big time to also enjoy what others are enjoying. I can't continue to be in the sideline. There is money to be made here. Oando here i come.

There is the need to exercise some restraint at this point, and then observe for sometime before making that dive. Remember very well that OANDO has just done over 500% capital appreciation in the past few weeks starting from about N14, but that it will take a much longer time for it to do 500% using its current price of N84+ as reference point.

In one of my posts in reaction to the lamentations of a member here about being allegedly deceived by Monkey Hunters into buying OANDO at N14+ only for it to start dropping the next day to as low as N8 some days later, I told him/her that, by the laws of SA, it is very difficult for a stock linked or perceived to be linked to an incumbent president to fail those invested in it regardless of fundamentals as long as that president's tenure has not ended. I used TRANSCORP/OBASANJO as precedent and told him that OANDO/TINUBU will likely follow same route. I hope that member here didn't sell of the OANDO back then out of frustration else he/she would by now have missed an opportunity of close to 750% capital appreciation if the N117 fair value analysis is anything to go by. During the days of Prophet Utuocha's Clarion call about OANDO, I strongly believed that his level of confidence in his prophesy was tied to the real or perceived incumbent president's interest in it hence I never joined those who doubted him on the ground of not backing up his call with any evidence.

During the PDP era the Naira had more value against the Dollar than the rate which APC inherited from PDP, so without prejudice to the fact that your claim here is made up, the APC therefore still suffered more shortage of financial value than the PDP.

The revolution in the TV and Radio industries happened during the military era. I remember vividly that entrepreneurs in my state pioneered it begining from 1998 by the persons of Dokpesi (Ray Power and AIT), Igbinedion (Independent Radio and TV) , etc. Are you suggesting that PDP had started ruling in 1998?
