I love you too, but none the less, i've said all i'll say on this issue. While you're making yourself happy by speaking grammer, i will make myself happy, by ignoring you completely. You asked for input, i gave mine. Your response, as usual, doesn't suprise me--it's expected!
I've never denied being a skeptic--never! but only on certain issues! i don't see anything wrong with questioning ones motives! as i can remember, i ran into this post through the Okotie issue, and that's why i lumped them together! i use the scriptures as i see them, i don't have to use them to suit you. Like i've told you before, nothing gives you the authority to tell me how to apply a scripture! use it as you seem it fit, and i'll use it as i seem it fit! and dude! don't try to get cute with me, by bringing in Israel and Hezbollah!

By the way, i don't revile nobody! to each his own!

What do you believe?

You guys, the things that are revealed to us belong to us and that which's not belongs to God (Deut 29:29), so instead of hussling to figure out who we will meet on the last day.lol. why don't we walk on getting in on that day! Onething i know, when i get there, is that i will not be met by 3 Gods sitting on the throne, as to which revelation it will be--the father, the son or the Angel of His presence, which ever one is on the throne, i believe is the father! i'm just glad to see Him.

Reading your post, i wonder how that scripture you quote applies to politics! honestly, because, from what i get, you're trying to say that we should be entangled with civilian affairs in the name of the gospel, which, to me o! is totally wrong! in that scripture Jesus wasn't commanding nothing, he wasn't even talking about mixing church and politics, he was talking about following the right order of a thing! it's like saying "obey the law of the land," and "obey God." Controversial as that may seem, we know we're not of this world, though we live here! God's already told us not to love the affections of this world (1 John 2:15-16), as Christians in this world, it's our duty to pray for those in authority over us! which includes our pastors, presidents, senators and bla bla bla!

Maybe you will say that it will take a righteous man to bring things to order in a country like ours, cuz i believe this thread was started because of Chris Okotie and his beed to run for office. I'm not saying a righteous man shouldn't go for office, but if he's not going to waver in his faith--then that's fine. You talked about Daniel, he didn't run for office, it was his faith and wisdom that got him there, and we know he didn't waver! Joseph's also another man, he got there by faith and wisdom! David, got there by faith in God. None of these men ran for office, nor desired the position of office, God exalted them there! God never told them to run for anything.

I'm of the opinion that if God wants to raise a politician, He's more than capable of doing just that! He knows that righteousness exalts a nation, and we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus--we are the ones that exalt the nation, we are the ones who change things in the arena of the spirit. We are God's soldiers, we don't dabble with civilian matters (2 Tim 2:4).

As to the question of who can run for office, there's no one in my bible that i saw (maybe i've not seen it yet) who ran for office! or who rigged an election! they were elected by God. If we observe the pattern, they didn't get there easily. It was faith and wisdom that got them into office, not man's wisdom or big English! if any righteous man gets into office, i believe it will follow the same pattern! he won't have to run for office! In a post somewhere else, you put an extract from "a man of God," whom i have never seen demonstrate anything of the spirit! now i'm not talking about healing the sick here! i'm talking about the demonstration of the spirit! Paul said he chose not to know anything save Jesus Christ, nor did he come with enticing words of man's wisdom--so, on that basis, i think your candidate is disqualified, in my book!

I think the move by Israel to eradict Hezbollah is a long over due one! It's a losing battle Hezbollah and the mideast is taking upon itself, Israel is God's own nation. Yeah, there're casualties, but it's happening on both sides. Hezbollah needs to go! imagine they even have a press secretary who came on CNN declaring they want to destroy Israel and bla bla bla, those people are just terrorists! what's the incentive for all this? the promise of getting "some" or what? or they're having a hard time getting women on earth, so they want to die to get it? Jesus will solve all that for them one time, but in the mean time, it's about time Israel got rid of them.

That was very very funny. So, can you please explain what's happening to the still single very pretty ladies? RomanceRe: Are You Better Off Single? No Stress. by dearzi(f): 7:19pm On Jul 18, 2006
Hugoboi,
Sweetheart, i'm a bible scholar, so please let's not go there. If you want to talk about Abraham, he lived in a different time, compared to the time of Christ, so the rules there differed. A relationship is about 2 individuals. Who said the man is always right? he needs help too, and that's why God created women! it means they know something men don't! and i'm sure it goes beyond bedroom politics. Eve wasn't created to be subservient to Adam, she was called along side to be his help." And please don't tell me we're paying for her sin of making Adam eat the fruit, cuz the bible clearly points out that Adam wasn't deceived. See their problem--they didn't communicate. If they had dialoged, i'm sure they'd have agreed to ignore the devil. My point is it take 2 to tango, not one being less than the other or in subservience to the other. The same bible talks about each submiting to the other.
My brother, this is supposed to be a romance forum, let's not make it "Christianity for Christians" forum.

Hugoboi,
you missed mine. My mum didn't teach me to be a slave to a man, she taught me how to be a woman, giving me values--that i use today. Yeah! she taught my how to take care of a man, but that's a man who is deserving of me. In this age, how many men want figure heads for wives? would you be proud to display your ignorant wife in public? would you be proud to display a woman without an original thought of her own? in the name of being subject to historyhuh

RomanceRe: Are You Better Off Single? No Stress. by dearzi(f): 6:49pm On Jul 18, 2006
@ Hugoboi
Yeah! my mum taught me to respect my man and bla, and she also told me that when a man's jerking you around, get out of there! now, that's not to promote divorce, cuz my folks are still together! it's to promote self worth! no man has the right to raise his hand at me. My mum taught my brothers to treat their women right! same lecture they got from my dad.
It's a very distorted view to see women as less than who they are! it is wrong. Like men, they can think and function, so whether history did it in times past or whatever, we have to recognise what and who women now, and give them the respect due them.

I respect my man, and he makes it very easy for me to do that, cuz he in return respects me. In our case, we submit to each other. If he's wrong and i point it out, he apologises and move on from it, if i'm wrong, i do the same thing! he doesn't throw down laws like he's God Almighty, everything we do is subject for discussion.

What exactly is your point? that women shouldn't have a say? or shouldn't make a play for positions of authority? and what's that got to do with being single or attached?
RomanceRe: Are You Better Off Single? No Stress. by dearzi(f): 6:26pm On Jul 18, 2006
@kellorah
The bible is so up to date o! there's nothing old school about it. It's not sexist, only male chauvinists see what they want. They like the part of "women submit to your husband," they forget the part of "men love your wives," and the portion of "submit yourself one to another." There's nothing sexist about submission.

The bible talks about being single as a time when you can do what you want to do, serve God and live your life without the cares of another person, but once you get married, it's no more about you or your desire but the other persons. Now, i don't think this is a bad thing, cuz in a good marriage each is thinking about the desire of the others, so their needs and desires get met.

I'm engaged, and i love it. BUT, the liberty to do as i please is gone. The wedding's around the corner, and here i am counting my days as a spinster. When Zara was talking about loving her space et al, i could totally relate with it, but i think you can still enjoy your space with someone else, so long as the person's not choking you.

At the end of the day, to each his own.

As for Allah saving, i thought you were agreeing that the guy was only praying, and there wasn't any merit to Allah saving--my bad! but did he really promise to save y'all?

Can you please explain what you meant by this statement "that convert is mad aw can he expect to live freely in an Islamic state?"
What makes the dude mad? that he thought about living freely? or that he converted? which?
So if Allah never promised to save, why bother praying to him if y'all aren't going to get answers or salvation anyway? please educate me.
Christianity EtcRe: The Trinity - The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit Explained? by dearzi(f): 4:22pm On Jul 17, 2006
@ Darkchild
I didn't mean any offense by asking for the genuity of your religion. I wanted to be sure you were not trying to be funny,or trying to shy away. It was just a question of clarification.
I still stand by it, that THE ONLY WAY to understand the trinity is by experiencing it for yourself. No answer we will give you will satisfy you. Some people here will write based on what they understand, have been told, or have read, but there are others who can tell you from experience, and that my brother is the only way you can understand the trinity. No amount of doctrine we give you will satisfy you, because, whether you like to admit it or not, or you claim there's just this need to know/ understand/ or want to dispute (or whatever your reason is), there is a vacuum inside of you that is yearning for THE truth, and my dear it is Jesus--He is truth. Just experience Him, after your experience with Him, come back and answer your question, for by then you will have your answer.

On the issue of the Trinity, it's ONE God operating in the 3 offices (1 John 5:7) i love the Amplified translation and the KJV

"So there are three witnesses [b]in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One" 1 John 5:7 (Amp)

Are you really a muslim? or you're just claiming to be one just to throw people off on who you really are?

@ Lioness
With all love, i don't agree that "a Christian is a Christian." That someone goes to church RELIGIOUSLY on Sundays don't make him one!

A "True " Christian is one who believes in God, and believes Jesus (Who is Himself God as He hails from God) is the Son of God, who died and rose again. Not only does this one believe this in his heart, but has confessed the Lordship of Jesus with his mouth (Rom 10:9), not only has this one confessed and accepted Christ, but he is a person who follows after Christ--keeping His commandments (not the 10 commandments by the way). He is also one who believes the Bible in its entirety is the word of God.

2 Sundays back i heard an analogy of the trinity, it was so simple it made sense. God indeed is one, same way you and I are one person, but have different roles we play. You can be a child to your parents, a spouse, and if you've got kids--a parent. That doesn't mean you're three persons, it simply means at these functions, you operate differently. You can't be a spouse to your children (although, we see it these days, where parents are commiting incest). I believe it's God's ability to multi-function that gives us the ability to do same. It's the simplest analogy i could point to.

The trinity is not something you try to figure out--it's something you experience. So, Darkchild, do you want to experience it? like Lioness said: "do you want to give your life to Christ now?" i am 100% an experience with Jesus will answer your question.
Foreign AffairsRe: Your Views On Israel And Palestine by dearzi(f): 4:31am On Jul 15, 2006
I think there will never really be peace in this conflict. Regardless of people wanting to take a middle ground--which sounds like the right thing to do! i agree that the US shoud try and be unbiased and be fair to the Palestinians. Those people are really suffering, and if it is only for the suffering children that they can call a truce then it will be good. But prophetically, it's not going to happen. Y'all, we're living in the last days! all these threats of war and rumors just indicate it, and that's why i'm sure there'll be no peace. Just thinking about it makes me sad.

The US will always be the US--they don't learn! i heard some dude on Larry King, tonight, talking about protecting the US from terrorists. I was pissed off, because it's these kind of actions that leaves the US vunerable to terrorists. Isreal's fight is not a man made one, it goes deep within the pages of the bible. All we can do is pray for God's grace for this times, for the people involved to seek Him now that He can be found, to pray for ourselves, cuz it involves all of us--whether we realise it or not!

Considering how stubborn the Isrealites have been from bible times, it makes me wonder how God continues to love them, such that even now while it appears they're being oppressive, He will still help them. I guess it's for the same reason He loves me regardless of how i mess up!
