Oracle, you asked the question i was just about to ask! CuteAngel, please where in the bible was that statement made? and if it's in the bible, to whom was it said? |
Haba! TayoD!! i'm not the only one who opposes you now! shoo! see how you're picking on me! i forgive you. ![]() |
Seeker My point exactly! as long as there are individuals involved, you'll always get hurt. Love in itself is pure, has no record of evil--bla bla bla, when people hurt each other, it's the same love that sustains, and helps them rise above the hurt! |
Hmmm! like i said, i learn a lot on NL. So when will the president in the spirit come out of the cave? lol. TayoD! i've missed you o! lol. i can almost predict what posts i'll find you on. It's almost like you have an Okotie radar! lol |
Aaah! i didn't know we had a spiritual president o! Now, i understand why we're having crisis in Nigeria, as the spirit is at war with the flesh--since Okotie is the president in spirit, and OBJ is the president if the flesh! wow! i learn a lot on Nairaland. |
Lagerwhenindoubt Really good post--i enjoyed it, the end was cool! i was feeling the effects.lol, ![]() |
Spikedcylinder "Discrepancies and weakness of the bible?" hmmm! interesting. The bible is pure and uncorrupted! it's the very word of God, albeit written by men, every word is inspired by the Holy Spirit. The bible NEVER said Eve ate an apple, it said a fruit--for all we know it could've been an orange, who knows, maybe even agbalumo! |
Zebudaya help me tell them o!!! Nilla What is the peaceful approach you want to use with a muslim? please tell me, if you do a good job of convincing me i will believe you! I, actually, was the one who stated i wanted them wiped out! my reason being that Iran's president said he wanted Israel wiped out, and Hezbollah agrees, and if they can say so, i think it's justifiable to wipe them out also! after all, it's ok in their books! i'm sure it would meet Sharia law requirements--"tit for tat." The difference between us is this--they're noted for terrorism, and who ever supports the wiping out of muslims (which isn't possible! if only it were) at least on my part, i'm not a terrorist, and i believe the events in the mideast dictates what the other muslims around the world do! Nigerian muslims don't wake up and go crazy until something happens to one of their own else where. If we can take out these strong holds in the mideast, i tell you the rest will be gentle--they might flex a bit, crying out genocide or whatever, but they will be mellow. But Islam being what it is, these terrorists will come back again, cuz, i believe the message of terrorism is preached in that religion. |
If it's not "OK" for all Arabs and muslims to be wiped out (which isn't possible), then what makes it "ok" for a misguided, deranged group of human beings--for whatever cause, think it is their mission to wipe out the nation of Israel? or the "infidels?" if anyone can justify it, then i'd be down with the not wiping out of the mideast! I love peace o! and i'm tired of news of war and threats of it, flooding my tv, but take a good look at the people in the war, majority of them/ if not all, have one thing in common--islam! this isn't to say it's a bad religion or whatever, it just shows that there's something fundamentally wrong with the teachings! nothing justifies the killing of an innocent person(s) to prove a point, or make your voice be heard! that's why i don't support the death penalty! nor do i support Christians bombing abortion clinics either! or even the wiping out of muslims (if it were even possible). There's just no peaceful approach when muslims are involved, what then do we do? all of you thinking with your head! answer! |
@Diddy4 Free shrink services! nothing else. i totally believe you have your reasons, i didn't, for a moment, expect you to table them here, BUT i'd like to know why you think so. If it's so personal, then that's fine, but if you won't mind letting me know, i'd appreciate it. Reason being that, i find it very interesting and would like to understand where you're coming from. |
@ Dignity LOL, very funny. Dude, what church do you go to? |
Remmzy The Africano one's the one with the skentele and far away on it ba? |
For some odd reason, i think i understand what and where dignity is coming from, do i agree with him? i don't know! after some thinking i think so. |
Deep Soul Thanks, you're an Angel. Now i feel current! |
Seun, i offer my shrink services for free, do you want to talk about it? you seem so anti-love! why? Dungeon2: that was a beautiful poem. Diddy: why do you think it doesn't exist? i offer my shrink services for free too! you have to have a reason to come to that conclusion. Love is a good thing, and it sure hurts, cuz those involved are human and have their own weaknesses, and as long as they have their own distinct personalities, they'll always hurt each other. They may not always mean to, but there'll always be clashes along the way, and that's how you test love. If after all that, you both rise back up and stay strong, you know your love will stand the test of time. Imagine the greatest love of all, God's love for us, yet, knowing all He's done for us, we still go ahead and hurt Him, not like we want to, but we're who we are! we're just wired that way, but despite it all, He loves us. |
They're both good songs, but the vocals on "Never Far Away" are just mad!! and i mean that in a good way. Babonboard He has a new song "dream come true" is it on the same cd as the never far away one? how good is the video? Africanoboy is entitled to his own opinion, even though i don't agree with him. |
I don't believe there are any innocent Arabs, or any innocent person from the middle East. The world would be much safer without them around! they're not just misguided o! even the Quran supports it! hello! cry for help!! please explain to me why one nuisance group will say their cause is to fight Israel till they're destroyed?? isn't that madness? and the mad man Nasarallah or whatever was calling out to his muslim brothers that it's time for Jihad! please isn't that statement trying to awaken the violence imbeded in their hearts? When i think on it, i don't think there's any non-violent muslim. Yes, they may not act on it by strapping themselves with bombs, but give them the opportunity to defend their religion, they will take you down, either verbally or some other way! my solution to terrorism is to wipe out the middle East completely! if Iran's president desired that Israel be wiped out completely, i don't see why i can't desire they all be wiped out! once we get them out of the way, we'll be more focused on world peace.lol. honestly, cuz the other muslims around the world would be more gentle, seeing that the middle East is the one always crying out for Jihad. The bombings in London, hit home o! a family friend died on the bus, my sister, but for God, would have been on the train that went via Kings cross and Charring cross, as that used to be her route to work! so pardon me if i'm not sympathetic. There should be no mercy for ANY terrorists and those that house them or sponsor them also. People are shouting casualties in Lebanon, the casualties are those housing terrorists! and the people are still in support. Madness i say! madness! |
Bros TayoD No make me vex o! which pocket money? unless the mail man has been stealing it, i've not gotten ANY!! lol, well, as i've not yet started, you can send me money o! i'll go and sit by the mail box to make sure it gets to me this time. ![]() |
Ehm. You mean Okotie's prophecy was for him to be president in 2003? then why was i under the impression that that prophecy was for 2007 election? someone please explain. Which one of you misled me? Well, 2007 is just around the corner, if those guys are still alive by then, we will know if the prophecy is correct or not. |
Not to go into too many details. Before getting into my current relationship, i prayed about it. Yeah! i knew the guy, liked him and bla! but it's onething to like someone, and it's another for them to be right for you, so i took it to God, and yes, i got an answer that "the boy is mine," so i carried go. As things began to progress--meeting families and stuff, once the issue of the likelyhood of marriage started coming up, i knew it was time to tell my pastor my intentions. Not just because i wanted to get married or something, but because, i needed spiritual guidance. You think it's every time you pray that God will sit you down and counsel you? that's why men and women of God are there. ***Take advantage of it. My pastor asked how i met the guy, how i came to the conclusion the guy's for me, if i prayed about it, what God said about it--questions you would ask your child. Being Christians, he asked the vital questions--is he born again? does he love God, and things along those lines. The reasons being that, as committed Christians, you don't want to marry a person that will hinder your relationship with God, you want someone you can build a home with, someone who you can help fulfil their purpose, and they yours! someone who together, you can labor with in God's vineyard. You want someone who you share common visions with. Family will not tell you that, cuz a lot of cases, they don't know! they will ask you if you love the person, what they do, do you have things in common, does he beat you? things along those lines, but the vital issues of purpose, they won't, but your pastor will. Remember, we're all designed for a purpose, what good is it being with someone who can't help you get there, or who you can't help get to where they're going? It's like joining a horse and a cow together because you want them to plough a farm! yes, you want them to do the same job, but they're not suitable together to be able to pull that plough, hence you join two like animals to do the job! In all honesty, how many marriages do you know are happy/ good? or without severe problem? i believe if a lot of people knew God is joining destinies and not just people who are "compatible" with each other, they'd be more purpose oriented when it comes to choosing a partner, and then we'd not be having the high rate of divorce we're seeing now. There'll be days you don't feel in love, but you stay put because you know this person is "help meet" for you. |
Bigazu I hear you about purpose and bla--true! but, and i don't think salvation was an after thought, i think God made provision in the event of the fall of man. Yes, bible says the word bore witness in Heaven, so yes, Christ was also in the beginning, as He is the word. Dude, i don't know what doctrine you're talking about o! but i don't think God sent us from Heaven to come and be tested on Earth, what good would that be knowing some are going to perish, yet he still sends us here? you've really over spiritualised the birth process. Those are natural/ biological orders, through which God is fufilling purpose, if we will allow Him. God's word is law, once He speaks a thing it comes into being. I think, once God spoke about the seed bruising the serpent, that's when salvation came into play. This is my own opinion. I'll ask my brother TayoD for his opinion, cuz he's very well learned on this kind of issues. But, i'm sorry, i don't buy into your doctrine of being sent from heaven to be tested on earth, and i don't buy into God orchestrating the fall of man! even then, Adam had a free will, as did Eve and see the choices they made. |
Hmmmmm!! this is quite contradictory to what Chris Okotie said o! i thought God told him to run for president? then why is God revealing to another man who will be president ![]() |
We should stop making excuses for these terrorists! they're simply what they are--brain washed, evil cowards. They say they're trying to make a statement by doing what? leaving situations worse than they met them! killing innocent civilians, so that they can go and have sex in the after life! these people are just purely evil. Giving a dog a bad name! imagine the harrassment one has to go through in the name of security screening! i have a muslim name, though i'm a Christian, imagine the searching i've become subjected to! do i look like i want to die!!! if i feel this way, how do the few good muslims feel? These yeye terrorists are making imigration situations harder for the honest immigrants everywhere! now INS and co will start cracking down harder on folks, in the name of fishing out terrorists! wo! my sympathy for the middle east has vanished, and right now, i feel they should wipe all of them out! even their seeds have been taught wicked lies, they're the future suicide bombers--wipe all of them out! even up to their pets! wipe them out! Don't know what took Israel this long before deciding to erradicate Hezbollah! from the inception of Hezbollah, they should have been destroyed! terrorists! the whole lot of them! if i catch one, i will, |
Well, if a guy tells me to go see his pastor, aah! that's a good sign, in my books! i'll get to the pastor's office before him sef! ![]() |
Bigazu Now that we know good and bad what good has it done us? see how messed up our world is today! me i don't think Eve knew squat! God's plan for salvation was as a result of what they did! i doubt if they'd been obedient in the first place there'd have been need for salvation! |
If the relationship has a direction, you'd better tell those in authority over you. Sometimes, because love has closed our eyes, we don't see the pitfalls, but the elders/ those in authority over us can, cuz they're not the ones in love. Your pastor's also in authority over you, so i don't see why you won't! i did, and i would do it again if i have to. The thing with telling your pastor is for proper counselling. God doesn't just match two Hot people, He matches destiny. Your pastor's not going to telling you whether God has matched this person to you or not, in some cases, yes--but not all. When you tell your pastor, as God's oracle he'd be able to tell you what to do, and how to go about the relationship in a manner that pleases God. He'll also be looking to see that you're not unequally yoking yourself! they are shepherds over their own flock! |
Nope. Some daughters-in-law too don't help matters! i feel one should treat her mother-in-law like you'd treat your mother, if the woman doesn't like you, apply wisdom, be respectful, and keep your distance! |
TayoD Aaaaah!! we agree on this one! If i meet Adam and Eve!! i no get biff with Eve, na Adam! the bible says Adam wasn't deceived! so, i'll ask him what possessed him, honestly, i'd like to give him a good lecture, and if i can, brush his life! take out all my frustrations on him for being such a weak man! |
I want to thank God, cuz He's more than faithful. I'd been believing God for a job, for a while now, and i'd gone for an interview, it went funny, but i maintained my confession: "that in all these things i'm more than a conqueror, and all things are working together for my good." Several days later, they called me and told me they couldn't hire me for one reason or the other. i was a bit disappointed, but i wasn't moved, i may have been cast down, but i surely wasn't destroyed! but i thanked God all the same, and still maintained my confession. When people'd ask me are you working, instead of saying no o! i don't have a job o! i'd say "i'm waiting to start, i'm just waiting for them to call me," cuz to me, in my spirit, i had a job, it just wasn't physical yet! but i believed that i'd received. Sha! on Sunday, at my cell meeting, i'd made a pledge, on Monday, the same people that turned me down, started making accomodation for me. The things they said i needed most, they changed to something else that could be gotten in days, as opposed to what they said i needed that'd take me months to get! I want to thank God, cuz once again, He proved His word works, and He's faithful. |
@ Viper For what now!! i'll be too happy to know i made heaven! lol, ![]() |
