Lol. So what’s the point of the financial advice if it’s not financial advice and if you won’t tell the people you are leading when you have sold? 🤣🤣🤣 nosa2: If it gets to the price I think it is worth I will happily sell. If there is news that makes me feel that my original thesis is wrong, I will happily sell. IF I wake up and the wrong side of my bum itches me and I decide that is a signal to sell, guess what I will do?
My number one priority is me myself and I. So long as I can justify my decision to myself I am fine with it. If anybody follow me and they enter bush then they are on their own. This is not a team sport. I am here to make money from other market participants (YOU) |

PuristForest: Next year is shaping up to be extremely volatile in the markets… e go hard. I really hope the ASI can reclaim and break 157, but here are the facts:
Nigeria is already under significant macro pressure — currency strain, rising inflation, the looming capital-gains tax, and ongoing uncertainty across FX and bond markets. Then came the Oct 31 CPC designation, which only amplified the tension, triggering an 8% drop from 157 to around 140. …... DYOR Are we under currency strain with our $45bn in reserves? I wouldn’t call it a strain. Exchange rate has been stable since Dec 2024. Isn’t inflation cooling? What is still uncertain across FX and bond markets? |

Beware of Bamboo. They were the pioneers for bringing NGX to the masses but they have issues regarding updating pricing and customer service. I use Cardinal stone and they reply emails fast (they reoleid me within 20mins this morning for eg). I don't know what kind of service you are looking for but my Customer Service experience so far has been great. Modified: You can ask Cardinal stone about the services you listed before enlisting. funkymedina2: Thank you. Customer service is very important for me |

You rrally believe ellah will somehow compete with Presco as a business entity? I find the conversations here about the company quite hilarious, and i don’t think they have been faithful in the little things…so j wonder how they’ll go from being nearly insolvent to managing a 250bn business in one fell swoop. I am curious sha, though i would never buy such a stock. Stockhunter: It is a huge one. But i am really hoping they do because if they do, there wont be any stopping ellah o with that kind of capital. And they be competing very well with presco and okomu. My only concern will be the outstanding shares. Well this may not matter so much if the results starts showing. They already have the publicity. Once i confirm they achieved the capital raise i will take partial long term position until the results become good then i scale up. |

KarlTom: Depending on your broker, the charges might make the final cost price more than the RI price... Ah I see. Makes sense especially when the floor price and RI price are converging. I bought at 1356 instead of RI so I hope I didn’t do too badly |

I plan to take up my PRESCO RI on Monday.
I have downloaded the PDf form from First Registrar, however I dont have where to pay into.
Please anyone who have done theirs should advise me.
Thanks. |

If true, it's a bit silly. The account they have been sending the dividends to has been dormant for six years. It's not unknown, just forgotten and I don't even remember the account number(it's XX*******XX in the email alerts) Why not even check the account first before sending it? Why not send to an active account (i have four others) Why the account that has never been used? And why to a business account when my sotck account is not a corporate one? That is how lax we are as a country. Why is my corporate account collecting dividends for an individual brokerage account? The Product Manager suppose collect cane. I emailed First Registrars to ask about this and they ignored me since last week. I emailed them again today and even copied their MD and SEC, still no response. Very useless set of people. Yes, OI also get emails from Aradel directly now, for some reason Audacius: IT SEEMS they have done an integration of the various existing systems that hold investors' data and MAYBE we no longer need to fill e-dividend forms.
I bought some stocks for the first time recently and I started getting emails from the registrars. I also observe that the e-dmmms platform is longer active. It has been like that for some time. People have been mentioning they have been getting dividends they did not fill forms for. I have too. But I observed such go into my savings account while the ones I filled e-dividends forms for go into my current account as I requested when filling the forms.
I assume the system has a criteria on where to send dividends to if it sees multiple accounts, even if it goes into an account you would rather not use. But an unknown account, as in your case, complicates things further.
Automating dividend payment like this is a development that could be expected. But the problem I see is that one has to figure things out. There seem to be no communication on the matter at all or not properly done. I try to keep up with investment news but never seen where they indicated these "development". We just start noticing and figure it out. |

Omo, how did Aradel pay dividend into the same account old whose number I don't know. Coronation registrars never accepted my dividend mandate from NIbbs, so where did they get this account number from? Omo I'm so pissed. |

Abeg i received Presco N10 dividend into a company account I opened years ago (2018) and forgot about and have definitely never inputted on any platform. I only began buying Presco shares recently and have not even been able to use FirstRegistrars mandate form because it keeps giving me error(hence my going the NIBBS route). I don't even know the account number because it is **** in my email alert. How is this possible? I am so angry. Where did they get the account number from? awesomeJ: PRESCO Div 27 just dropped. |

Same. I switched completely from naija mutual funds to Eurobonds/REITS ($)/NYSE since 2018 or so. I've had an average of 12% pa in dollar terms (I would have been at a great loss in naira terms if I'd stayed). Finally entered the NGX becaue I see great things happening in Naija Palm Oil (Presco) and Gas (Aradel), and the stable dollar may finally make the whole stress be worth it. If the rate starts that silly volatility, I'll just cut my losses and move on from the NGX finaly . I also agree that everything is being repriced due to inflation. nosa2: You are spot on. If you have been in this market since 2015 you have probably lost money in dollar terms even though your Naira numbers will make you think you made a lot. I totally abandoned Naira assets in 2014/2015 and I only returned this year.
With regards to the Nigerian Bull market, we are still in the long term bull market. The index needs to touch 280k-300k for us to get back to 2015 levels. I strongly believe we will get there and surpass it but it will take a couple of years. This is why to me all these dips are irrelevant, because when you look at the macro economic situation you will see mostly upside.
I am investing in Nigeria because I truly believe that for the next couple of decades this is market will strongly outperform most stock markets |

If you provided the cscs number and CHN in the space provided on the TIP application form, the unit applied for will be credited to your cscs account during allotment. |

Hello, thanks for your explanation. Abeg i get question. Does this mean I won;t see my TIP shares in my Cardinal Stone? I have to open a CSCS account or what to access them? I have a CSCS number, but not the account. emmasoft: @OoDeeA, To know if the shares have been allotted to you, request your CSCS statement from the stockbroker or check online if you subscribed to online access; your allotted units will reflect there. When shares are allotted, they do not go directly to your trading account but to your CSCS account. Whatever appears in your CSCS account is tradable on the floor of the NGX, even if it’s not on your trading account. Note that even when registrars announce an allotment, it does not automatically mean every shareholder received their shares. There may be one irregularity or another affecting your allocation.
In such cases, the appropriate party to contact is the Registrars (GTL), not the stockbroker. Stockbrokers do not allot shares, so reporting the stockbroker will not resolve the issue because that will be the wrong target.
The registrar will sort out any pending allotment, not the stockbroker. |
