SportsRe: Taiye Taiwo Scores A Scorcher: Vs Lyon (Video) by deb(m): 12:40pm On Mar 23, 2010
Taiwo is only not good enough when he plays under Amodu. He was and is still great anytime under Siasia,
even under Eguaveon he is a great player it is only when he plays for Amodu that he becomes ordinary and
that tells me something,

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Messi Vs Rooney: Who Is Better For 2009/10 Season? by deb(m): 3:31pm On Mar 22, 2010
Kgdavid:
interesting. this season messi has 34 while rooney has 33 so as far as goals go they are pretty equal. however the point about the level of defending in la liga being poor is quite valid.the defending is extremely soft and if you watch messi play in europe and for his country you will hardly see him dribbling players in the same way he does in the league. overall i'd say messi has an edge over rooney only in terms of dribbling ability. its the same old ronaldo vs messi scenario we had last season. messi is also an incredibly selfish player
Reacting to the highlighted, why is C.Ronaldo not scoring as much as he was doing in the English premiership?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Messi Vs Rooney: Who Is Better For 2009/10 Season? by deb(m): 1:59pm On Mar 22, 2010
Barcelona play 4 - 3 - 3
3 strikers upfront
That Messi is made to play upfront as a striker does not really make him a striker?
He is a natural midfielder and you should give it to him that he is even performing fantastically well
playing as a striker upfront due to the 4-3-3 formation.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Messi Vs Rooney: Who Is Better For 2009/10 Season? by deb(m): 1:21pm On Mar 22, 2010
Sam Milla:
Rooney of course. He is currently the best striker on this planet.
Followed by Messi and Drogba
Oga Messi is not even really a striker, he is a mildfielder.

I wonder what the person who started this thread was thinking about to be insulting Messi by asking us to compare him with Rooney?
Rooney wetin? Messi is clearly the better player no room for comparison. In case you need to know, I am no Barca fan am a gunner fan all the way.

MY BROTHER WITH DUE RESPECT, 2002 was not nigeria worst ever team, they were just unlucky and inexperience. they pressed sweden the whole game, had better chances than england. i know how dissapointing it was and it is, but that team eas definetly not that bad
My brother I agree with you 100%
The team was not that bad especially if you considered the fact that the stupid NFF disbanded the 'real' super eagles
players of the time leaving Onigbinde to assemble 95% if not 98% fresh legs in less than 3months for a WORLD CUP TOURNAMNET!
The fact that we were not disgraced with the score lines losing 1-0 to Argentina and 2-1 to Sweden, I was not so disapointed.

I think Nigerian fans like miracles and once you don't do it you become the 'worst' coach. Very soon Largerback in Nigerian fans opinion will
soon become another 'worst' coach. You know the way we think in Naija. Everyone is expecting magic from him at the world cup.
I wonder when we will start thinking long time?

I am so disappointed in these Guys, despite all
The HITs they ve put out since their first album. Style-plus  are
Still so broke that each time I see them  in Abuja,Especially at one cheap Bar
In Wuse2.I always bury my head in shame for them. You need to see the kind of car they drive, pshhh
Honda prelude!!. I think they should relocate to Lass Giddy If they wanna make it big.
Typical Naija mentality. If you are not driving big cars and you are not living flamboyantly it automatically means you are broke.
Nonsense mentality that is forcing so many youth to yahoo yahoo and armed robbery.

Living high is not equal to wealth. Some of us drive better cars than Bill Gates, but the question is what does the Bank account say?

FBS:
How many foreign based players were there?
Agreed it is embarrassing to lose to Niger, we should sometimes learn not to ALWAYS condemn.
They tie is not over yet.
We had 5 foreign based players and I think they (foreign based players) also scored 3 of the goals, 1 goal by home based and the other goal was an own goal.
SportsRe: Niger Republic 2 - 0 Super Eagles (home Based) by deb(m): 5:15pm On Mar 15, 2010
Man! Naija people. We like to deceive ourselves too much. When we played Congo every report you read says Rejected Home Based
Eagles thrashed Congo. They write the reports as if no foreign based players participated, they even make it sound as though all the
goals were scored by the Home based players. Everytime I listen to or read such reports I just shook my head in disbelieve as to how
we like to deceive ourselves in Nigeria both the fans and the media are guilty of this. For me, only one or two Home based players should
always be allowed to make the eagles team and it should be to gain experience and not just to break into the team without meriting it.

I have been saying it that Yar'adua never came back to this country but nobody seemed to believe me.
I have put on my thinking cap and I wondered why he would be in Nigeria and not even his mother would be allowed access to him.
What can Nigerians not do I asked myself? Can u imagine how there had been sudden silence about his being in the country or not
lately. All our politicians in Abuja are bastards. I don't need any evidence from any quota I know what Nigerians are capable of doing
especially those animals in Abuja wearing agbada

In her remarks on the occasion, Professor Akunyili said she was delighted to be recognised as a one of MEA Magazine’s “50 Powerful Women in Business.”
Oga the word Business in the context of the awards is not just about buying and selling.
