optm: But he is already paying tax which is likely to be more than 10%. I support paying offering, but tithe is pure scam. Has any pastor come out openly to explain how they spend the tithes or how they send it to God? People pay tithe and they are successful, many more people don't pay tithe and they are still successful. Religion has really brainwashed a lot of people. They go abroad and still carry their brainwashed mentality there. Nigerian pastors abroad are balling on people's money. They have the beat houses and cars. However, their "oyinbo" counterparts live a modest life and survive off salary. 3 Likes |

rexbuton: Yes I agree with her. Tithe is a personal matter. I do rather get heavily involved in charity work, something feasible to help the poor than pay tithe to a mere man. There are lots of children suffering in Nigeria, many are out of school. Set up a charity and help people physically, God will be happy with you and will bless you more. I'm not sure if the top 20 richest men in the world pays tithe. Things that will make you successful include hard work, and perhaps a bit of luck and chance. |

I completely agree with the part of "conducting a research before going into any business", whether in Nigeria or abroad. Business itself is a big risk, and I am sure so many foreigners have established "day care" without ending up in jail. Those who have interest in setting up a creche should conduct their research and never be perturbed by one unfortunate issue. Can we have more ideas. Anything on farming (agriculture). Family / Re: How To Convince Parents That Tribe Doesn't Matter In Marriage? by DebateNigeria: 4:06pm On Oct 17, 2017 |
Amhappy: Looks like you you've had a bad experience (or maybe someone close to you). People marry from the same village or clan and all these still happen. Just pray to meet a good partner that God has sent to you, your missing ribs. All these talk about family support will be bull crap. I have seen at least two successful families who married without parental consent (one of the couples have been married for 33 years and both their parents are dead but they still live happily. They share their story to encourage love. They didn't talk to their parents for 15 years). The fact that someone is your father or mother doesn't mean he truly loves you or mean well for you, otherwise fathers won't take their daughters, parents won't sell their children or even use them for rituals. My dear, it is their life, let them make that decision. They have more years on earth than their parents. 2 Likes |

Dearlord:Best response. God bless you. The reason must be genuine, otherwise go ahead and marry her. With parental consent marriages still crash, without parental consent marriages last long. It depends on the two people involved. As a country (black people), we are too stereotyped. In western worlds, two adult usually makes the decision without parental influence. Parental blessing and family support is overrated. 3 Likes |

VampireeM: Hey! The fact that I opened this thread doesn't mean temitemi1 wasn't excited to meet me as well. He told me stories of how he met some other N'landers. This is an anonymous community and it's always exciting to unravel that face behind the mask. We plan to see again and hang out someday. Nothing special, no one is a celebrity dear. However, on this forum (politics) TemiTemi1 is a popular name. Remain blessed and have a good night rest. 7 Likes |
Politics / How I Met With Temitemi1 by DebateNigeria: 8:40pm On Aug 19, 2016 |
Hello N'landers.. Let me share with you my experience today. Entered a bus from computer village. Sat close to a young, very tall and energetic gentleman. I was holding my $100 (sorry, N100), this young man just said "give it to me" I looked at him and gave it to him reluctantly (don't worry, he was not the conductor, was just looking for change). I was surfing N'land. That's how he asked "so you do Nairaland". I responded "as a guest". He smiled and asked "what's your favorite session", I said "politics" but do so most times as a guest. He said "I'm one of the good guys there (he actually said one of the troublesome guys ". He said "guess, mention 5 names". So I started "Beremx, Ngenekwenu", he said "those are females Na". " I am not convinced" I said. He smiles and said "I'm very sure they are females". We were almost getting to the bus stop and he said "I'm temitemi1". I laughed in excitement (as if I had met a celebrity). I offered to pay his transport fare but he declined. We had time to reflect on our activities on Nairaland. He is actually Yoruba but looked like an Aboki . Nice, gentle and a complete opposite of his personality on Nairaland. He actually supports PDP real life and doesn't look as if he's getting any financial benefit for doing so. We exchanged numbers... cc: lalasticala Seun Chukwudi44 Beremx |
