Good day all. I normally recharge my prepaid meter with about N2500 a month. I don't have much appliances at home, just fridge, TV sets and energy saver bulb. So yesterday after my units ran out, I decided to recharge. But I wanted to calculate the difference between the new tariff and the old one, so I recharged for N500.

Before the increase in tariff, I usually get about 24.86unit for N500, but yesterday after recharging, I got 8.43units... chai that's about 3times increase in tariff.

That means, in a month I will have to be spending about N7500 just on light bill. No b say my salary increase.

This govt no get joy.

I graduated from the university seven years ago. After my youth service, I went back to my school for a postgraduate program. It took me four years to complete the program due to death of my supervisor and ASUU strikes. But in between the four years, my hod called and ask me what I do. When she learnt I was unemployed, she asked me to come over to the department and start working as a casual staff for 20k salary. I had to accept since she needed someone skillful in MS office computer packages, beside I have done a lot of odd jobs before then which couldn't feed me let alone paid my rents and school fees.
Then, last year while doing the job, the university commenced recruitment which was very massive, but underground. God being so faithful, I was able to graduate from the masters program at the time and she kept promising to help me push my cv for employment. I came out as the best postgraduate student in my department with the highest FCGPA.
Brethren, do you know what has happening from then till now? Vested Status interest
Since then till now, my application has been going one step forward two steps backward. She minuted on the first one last December. It got to the faculty, the Dean minuted and sent it out after much pressure from me, minutes later she ordered the application to be returned and that was all I heard about it. But she pushed her son's application and he was employed as well as our Hod's. She pushed her daughter's and her husband's niece, they both got while she kept lamenting that she's confused on how to go about mine, stating she has ran out of idea on how to go about it.
This afternoon, she called to inform me that, the university wants names of all the ad-hoc staff in all the departments for immediate employment as junior staff. She was asking me if I'm interested in the offer since I'm currently a PhD student and the job should be for ssce or fslc holders... She said if I should accept the offer that it might terminate my chances of getting a teaching job, which I've been applying.
Please, what should I reply her?

This Afternoon at Ilesa West, two man were fighting because of the condition of the state which is really affecting the citizen , the elder one was lamenting how the present situation in the state makes life difficult for them to survive . Honestly I don't understand. Why do most men see s.e-x as a form of appreciation? They help you submit your CV, get you a job, help you submit a business proposal, give you a ride, dash you money, generally render help, they want s.e-.x appreciation. Even if they're clergymen, Elderly, married, about to we'd, DGs, Directors etc it doesn't stop them.
Why?
To me, I believe there're so many ways we can pay back, but the idea of putting us in a tight corner to offer our appreciation, is not good enough.

Since my dad turned into a broke man,his attitude towards us has changed from bad to worst,he doesn't have any regards for any one in my family including my mum,most times he trys beating her,my dad doesn't contribute for anything in my family any longer, he's just broke n lazy,the worst part of it is,he lays insults on us for just a little thing,I n my sister together with my mom do contribute for our house rent,my dad does no contribution,most times d way he begs me for money makes me feel weather if am d dad to him or a son to him,I should be d one asking for money but d reserve is d case,my mum tries so hard to put food on d table,she lives for market very early in d morning by 5:30am to ensure that we eat for the day,to my greatest suprise my dad was having a misunderstanding with my mum very early in d morning,he called my mum a LovePeddler that she source her income from her sugar daddies,imagine someone that doesn't even makes an attempt to put food on d table talk more of observing other fatherly responsibility,most times I feel that he should be erased from existence, he's wahala is too much for us to bear.
