I am not certain that the dashboard tells you when an oil change is due! It will indicate low oil pressure and tell you when a service is due. 2 totally different things! Besides, the OP did not say what type of vehicle he has, how do you know if he has a newer vehicle with modern electronics?

@ OP -
Most people would do an oil change either based on mileage or time. I use synthetic oil and change my oil (and filter) every 5000 miles or 3 months.

I use a Lincoln Navigator 2004 Model. I'm experience a noise from under the dashboard very much like someone farting continuously, this noise comes on at 60km/hr get louder and suddenly disappear at 90km/hr and then vise versa when the speed comes down. Otherwise the vehicle has no other fault. Does anybody has any experience like this.

With this kind of issue you wld need to invite or go to an automobile technician for physical observation which might be followed up by a scan if need be, depending on what the technician deduces from his/her observation.

I think there are 205/70/15 tires you can fit. That can give you some lift.

If she's going the tyre route, Its better she goes with a wider rim and a lower tyre profile like a 205/50/16 to get about one inch or more higher off the ground.

Note that the higher you go, there's an increase in rollover risk of your car while driving.

Your shocks might not be bad but cld be weak thereby allowing ur car sag so low even when it doesn't have much load in it.

Pls drcynthia, If the roads you have to drive on are so bad that you need some more ride height, get yourself an SUV instead of doing something that will compromise your motoring safety and that of other road users.

Be careful when going for larger tire sizes on the Camry. During tight turns, bigger tires will rub on plastic lining of the inner wheel well and damage it giving your beloved car an unsightly look. Secondly, bigger tires and rims will weigh heavier and will wear down your suspension components faster e.g shocks, ball joints, tie rods and lower arm bushings. With bigger tires and rims, it won't be long before you start hearing the famous "thunk thunk thunk" from your shocks and stabilizers. You can try 16 inch rims with 215/60/16 tires but this won't give you the increase in height you are looking for. 215 stands for the width of the tire in millimeters, sixty is the height from the ground to the lip of the rim and 16 is the rim size in inches. The Camry isn't a beauty so lifting it will make it look worse. If you want a car with a higher ground clearance, you are probably better off with an SUV.

I'm still waiting to know if its the factory recommended tyre size she using at the moment, before I can emphatically tell her to replace her shocks not with tokunbo but OEM.

The 04 camry has a good factory reset ground clearance. So, with its suspension components in good condition and the right tyre size, the OP would not experience issues associated with low ride height.

Note that weak shocks are also a good reason for your car's nearness to the ground.

*Most people don't know the difference btw OBD II scanner. brands and are oblivious of their varying capabilities*
-Did ur mechanic use a professional scan tool or the DIY scanner the size of a calculator or POS machine?

1. Don't go resetting your timing belt yet until you confirm that the subject sensor communicates well with your ECM.
2. If your mech is using a DIY scanner (that might not have been updated for years) pls find a tech with a Professional scan tool like the "STAR scanner" "AUTOBOSS" or a "LAUNCH X-431iv"

Been driving for over 20yrs and I've always parked leaving the vehicle gear in One. That's what my Dad taught me. I've never used the reverse gear in parking though cos I believe the gear 1 has a stronger resistance than the reverse gear.

And bros, I didn't just recommend something out of the blue. A 2013 chart states Diamond SP-III for 2000-2005 Chrysler Sebring. Yet, it does not mean there won't be alternatives/equivalents.

thanks a lot, pls what other precautionary measures do i need to observe especially as regards to how the engine is been mounted in the car ,people argued that the manner @ which its mounted appears close to the ground thus subjecting the engine (lower portion)hitting the ground while driving resulting to accumulative injuries .

Nissan serena engine never hits the ground. It is the cross bars and channels that do when driving through seriously uneven surfaces. However, one shld avoid overloding his/her vehicle and take maximum care while driving on bad roads.

I have done my normal servicing but each time I on my ignition to drive it just appears there. No sound, no blinking just the way it it. Is it normal to have such? There's a fault with your engine though ur car seems to run fine. These kind of faults can only be detected by a vehicle scan.

Do not take that sign for granted or it will ruin ur ride.

It is your immobiliser. And there's no way you won't get codes unless you are using a DIY scanner which is always limited in capability.

Pls re-install ur old ECU and find a tech with a professional scanner to help out.

The manufacturer recommended ATF is "Diamond SP-III" and that is what you have written on your auto tranny dip-stick.

Nissan vehicles are strong and durable. I'm sure you are getting one with a manual tranny so you have nothing to worry about. Just remain faithful to the vehicle with regular interval service and you have nothing to fear.
