Has he done anything about the P1800 code? if not, he shld check for vaccum leaks. in a case where he finds no leakage, the VIAS control solenoid has to be replaced.

The engine is behaving like that cos it's management system intermittently records out of range values of un-metered air in the system.

I recently bought a 190e 2.0 with an mechanical injector only to later discover that it can't get to 1km without swallowing up to 5liters . i got the car thinking its takes less fuel than other bigger saloon cars.I took it to a Benz mechanic and he says the injector is alright Pls car experts or any 190e owner or anyone who has experienced this should give me a lasting solution.

Firstly, check for fuel l eakages. if there's none, I would have asked you to replace the fuel preassure regulator (a small black box located on the side of the injector) but in a situation where you burn 5ltrs for 1km, I recommend you replace the entire injector.

I noticed that my corolla sports 2011 is not as fast as it used to be, the only error I have there is p0420 which has always been there since I bought the car, also the engine runs fine when idling but just that when accelerating it's not so fast , I have had my mechanic clean the injectors,cleaned the air-filter and its same.. kindly advise with ideas on what could be wrong

A list of things can trigger that code. ranging from

- Improper ignition timing
- Catalytic converter clogging
- Fuel injector leaks
- Intake air leaks
- Clogged air filter
- Fuel injectors may be faulty
- Spark plugs may be faulty

Don't ignore the air filter. But like honmusa and mayor said, start from the exhaust. You might need replacing the cat or O2 sensor in the end.

Yes sir, engine heat mainly comes from within yet environmental conditions contribute as well.

I have had to drive a vehicle very fast so that air rushing into the engine bay Wld help cool the engine. cos I noticed the engine temp Wld rise when a I drive slow. in the same light, a running engine would lose heat as it comes in contact with a puddle of water.

This is very correct but when you slow down or in traffic this is the time the fan is most needed so its would be on, have you not seen car just parked keys off and the fan still ON?

During a rain, you rad fan wont come on as frequently as it does when the weather is hot cos your vehicles cooling system is designed for its fan to come on when the engine temperature is about to go above its preset point. trust the fan to go off a few seconds after the engine touches the water.

I was driving the EOD today when i noticed it wasn't transmitting well.

It goes off when i depress the breaks at holdups, I also noticed the lights were going off.

So i parked and thought to adjust the battery head properly.

It has since ceased to start since then.

Local mechanics have been giving me different diagnosis. One said it's Key Code, another brain box, another fuel pump.

Please is there anyone who knows what to do ?.

I am in Abuja and need an urgent fix please.

If possible this evening as car is presently parked on the road.
