Your primary ATF pump could be failing hence it is taking time to build up ATF pressure when you shift gears. This is usually as a result of dirty or degenerated ATF. Normally, this fault won't put out any codes or trigger a CEL depending on the model/year of the car in question.

On the contrary, the drive still normal, will check the MAP for a misconnection as u said, if not, will get a replacement.

The P2227 code does not refer to you MAP sensor, but to a circuit inside your ECM that processes information/signals received from pressure sensors in the car, MAP sensor inclusive (note that the AC system also has pressure sensors)

What you really need to do is to replace your ECM.

But for benefit of doubt, you can go ahead to check your MAP sensor and its connections. If the code goes away, kudos! but if not, please replace your ECM.

Please house, I have been driving a toyota camry car 1996 model to be precise( popularly known as orobo). I have never had any increase from the temperature, the gauge is usually on zero, but since this month, each time I put on the car the temperature rises to half way. You hardly see it now cos its becoming obsolete. It was a reigning car in its time. Its a strong and reliable car when you take care of it well and have a good auto-technician by your side.

How come they (mechanics )don't know what to do. I had a similar problem with my audi a6 it was simple the auto electrician simply adjusted the acclerator and it worked. However as minor as that problem seem I experienced it was very dangerous. So get help as soon as you can

Your vehicle model comes with a viscous fan. when such issues as your occour, its usually the viscous fluid in the fan coupling leaking out. there's no fix for it but a complete replacement of the fan.

Go ahead and buy the car of your dreams. we now have techs in Nigeria that can take care of them for you. it all depends on you financial ability to support the maintenance on such a car.

Guys, I asked my mechanic to flush my Rav4 V6 transmission, and the trans now malfunctions.

Shifts well but slips on 4-5. The technician says its the solenoid switches but I really do not agree. My reason - there has been a swap but the issue remains. The fluid was burnt, hence my reason for a flush. There was no issue after the flush until the filter was replaced. This problem now is an improvement from slippage on 2-3, and erratic shifting. According to him, the replaced solenoids were responsible for the improvement. If so, why does it not fully cure the trans? I have seen him rebuild transmissions but I tend to disagree with this.

I have read someone who had failed solenoids on same trans, but replacing them did not solve it, though his issues were more than mine. A rebuild, and later, reset of the trans ECM settled it.

Since the fluid was burnt, could there be some underlying problems? I don't want to throw money away buying wrong parts. Any ideas?

You shold not have allowed your transmission fluid to get burnt in your car before flushing it.

You would have to get it rebuilt or buy another transmission.

Assuming there was something wrong with the former transmission, it has been replaced. This should have eliminated whatever mechanical issue faced. This one also slips at 2-3. What could have happened to a working transmission in less than three hours of aggregate use after installation? I got this transmission myself, and carried it to the installer. Something is causing the car to burn transmission fluid! The fibre (disk) was replaced in the former one, and it was burning again before I had the trans changed.

Yes, a TCM reset was done after installation.

Selling the car is not an option bro.

You still got your self a defective transmission. Return it if you can and collect another one. ask the dealer to give you his own installer in a case where your own installer keeps doing something wrong.

Please i need help!!!! Especially at Siena. I am so desperate. I have a VW Jetta 2006 TDI (diesel). Since i got it, its been one issue after another. Now the gear is refusing to shift. The [P R N D S] on the dashboard keeps flashing and it wont shift. If i turn off the car and put it back on, it drives ok. I noticed its A DSG as well. Please does anyone know a mechanic that deals with VW. Going to VW would cost me an arm and leg. Do not have that kind of money. Advice please. Has anyone experienced such issues.
