It is all about Nigeria for real. Not long ago, the daily political songs on naira-land were all positives about GEJ even when he flouted the section 7-2C of PDP’s constitution on zoning. However, the true Nigerians came to light when the two presidential candidates from the northern region selected vice presidential candidates from south-western region of Nigeria. It is unfortunate Hyena can never change its spot.

I had been against the candidature of GEJ since he denied zoning ever existed in Nigeria. However, the other two candidates who emerged from other political parties are living examples of frauds and ground- swell nepotism. One of the candidates should not have been in army in the first place if not for adulterations standard for Nigerian officer’s cadet intake to accommodate mediocrity. The other is very pitiful as a career police officer who never arrested a drunken public nuisance yet rose to the rank of AIG. I guess he was on a free ride.

If you really want to conjure a fairy tale, you should have composed your silly self to present a palatable story. The mob of 70 is enough of crowd to draw police attention. Also by 10AM, the visibility is guaranteed up to a mile and would be impossible for the crowd to drag and beat the weekend editor to Okorocha’s campaign headquarters without the notice of either the law enforcement agents in Owerri or passers-by.

If all these commotions went unnoticed by Nigerian police in Owerri, I suggest you forget about 2011 election because elections are meant for humans who inhabit a country.

Those who merely infatuated with the sense to overthrow the government of USA with force or mere demonstration were wiped out of surface of the earth. Why should those who attempted to overthrow the government of Libya allowed to live?

The military attack on Libya without strong comment from the so-called AU (African Union) against the wanton behavior of colonialists is one of the reason I entertain regrets of bring born African.

I can not destroy my scrotum along with the tsetse fly simply because the blood sucking fly perched on it. If I do destroy my scrotum in order to get rid of the tsetse fly, the consequences of such action will be visited upon my generation to come, if any.
Foreign Affairs › Re: French Military Jet Opens Fire In Libya. by Dede1(m): 5:05am On Mar 20, 2011
The military actions taken against Libya by France, Britain, USA, Canada and Italy reverberated echo of colonial attacks on Benin Empire and Opobo Kingdom. I could not believe this day will pass when colonial powers and countries of prey will engage on military attack on sovereign African country under the pretence of democracy.

This is the same manner applied when they first visited Africa under the cloak of spread Christianity and civilization. Apparently, Africans inherited skewed civilization, foreign religion and colonization as well as depletion of human beings through slavery. In addition, the colonial masters afflicted Africans with mental laziness which suddenly saw them selling off their kinds.

It appears symptoms of colonization will stay with Africans for a very long time. Today, Africans stood akimbo even jubilating as Libya is being destroyed by the countries whose construction firms would be contractually contracted to rebuild a destroyed Libya. Honestly, it does not take cruise missiles and bunker-busting bombs to remove Gadhafi from the reign of power. The fact remains a covert action that could unseat Gadhafi will not pay greater profits than massive destruction of Libya’s economic infrastructures.

The Republic of Chad had a situation such as Libya however UN, Britain, USA, France, Canada and Italy drew blank on diplomatic circles. Of course, the colonialists will play nonchalance towards Chad’s affairs because the country has no drop of crude oil. Did the colonialists not turn their backs on Rwanda? I say shame on Africa.

Dede,

your logic is weak n stop making excuses for mediocrity. If i should tow line of your logic, its cool for senior engineers to fail arithmetic assessment, its cool for senior doctors to fail basic health science assessments, its ok for senior lawyers not to b able to define "govt", "democracy" or "constitution".

Ds horrible sacrifice of excellence for ethnic quota is what has ruined ds nation most. It comes along wt all sort of other evils. I'm sure some people dont see much wrong wt it because d candidate is from educationally previledged south eastern Anambra state, bt unfortunately if she had been frm Yobe, Jigawa or Zamfara, all her backers will b singing differently.

If she failed, she failed, period! I hav seen too much of terrible effects of celebrating mediocrity dt i hav little tolerance for it. I see currently on-going huge industrial projects wt low local human content/ participations, d contractors excuse r same and valid dt dey cant find competent Nigerians to do dos things. I am talking of simple trades as welding, fitting, masonry, carpentry, etc. And unfortunately, true to it, our locals r hardly skilled enough for complexity or finnesse of dos jobs.

Here we are again, doing ourselves d injustice of celebration of mediocrity just to save ethnic faces.
If you were not disingenuous with your plank of argument, I should have called on logic to take precedent.

The basic duty of a diplomat does not revolve around the ability to recite national anthem of a home or foreign country as it would be for medical, engineering or legal profession where the basics centered on basic health science, arithmetic or constitutional assessment respectively.

I had argued against the ambassadorial nominee if she had failed to give adequate responses to questions bordering on bilateral treaties, UN resolutions and conventions or international trade agreements. I still state unequivocally that there is nothing mediocre when one fails to recite the national anthem.

You could not be more correct if I had to judge the majority of age grade that made up the crowds at Buhari’s political rallies and what Buhari allegedly said about Nigerian educational system. The kids shown at Buhari’s political rallies in northern states of Nigeria should have been in schools instead of attending political rally.

You captured my sentiments with the post sentiments.
Politics › Re: Senate Confirms Ambassador Who Failed Anthem Test by Dede1(m): 5:17pm On Mar 18, 2011
I watched Carl Lewis destroy USA national anthem on the television. He failed to recite anthem despite hours of rehearsal. If we had to follow the lame argument put forward by disingenuous Nigerians on the issue, Carl Lewis should not have represented USA in Olympics talk less of winning gold medals in both 100M and 4X100M races.

Again, ability to recite national anthem or lack thereof does not have any bearing on the ability of individual to perform a certain job for a country.

The reason is because Africans, including me, are most hopeless and stup.id human beings on earth. They can not discern a manipulative machination under their noses. The ability to recite Nigerian national anthem or lack thereof does not factor in a diplomatic acumen. It is unfortunate that in Nigeria, a nominee for diplomatic position would be asked a nonsensical question such as the recite of the anthem instead of questions bordering on diplomacy.

I shall advice you to place cause on everybody that fought to keep Ndigbo in the union called Nigeria. You should agree with me that the unwarranted nightmare brought onto you buy the alleged actions of Ndigbo in faraway India would have been a distance source of jest if the Ndigbo were allowed to secede from Nigeria in 1967.

I am still not able to fathom the rationale of Africans in supporting the idea of chaos and destruction as prescribed by the so-called UN and International community but shun coup d’etat as advised by their colonial masters.

This is driven by economic interest lifted from the documents on Warfare, thus, war and reconstruction. Coup does not engender destruction of country’s economic infrastructures therefore it does not play into the interest of European and North American interests. Hence they do not support the idea of coup in Africa.

However, Europeans and N-Americans will brazenly support revolts and chaos as seen in Libya and Egypt because such senseless acts have potential to lead to civil war which will ensure destruction of country’s existing economic infrastructures. I do not see local companies in Africa rebuilding damaged bridges, seaports, highways, power grids and telecommunication equipments. The current destruction in Libya must be reconstructed and there is no indigenous company from Senegal to Cameroon capable of rebuilding the infrastructures damaged in Libya. Again, this is where the Europeans, Asians and N/Americans step in.

One of the uniqueness of Nigerian elections is that majority of those voting will vote the logo not the party name as many may not be able to read. I doubt if INEC will use pictures of candidates in the elections.

As a result, I do think that it is time we started mass enlightenment of what the CPC flag/logo look like. On your facebook pages and twitter boards, broadcast pictures of the CPC logo.

I have attached one with this post. Use it, spread it, print it out paste it on your cars, walls, etc. Let's bring change to Nigeria!

This morning the Line has been drawn in the sand in Libya. Maybe Benghazi would be Quaddafi's demise. Just like Hilter and all the sort, the show down is on. The moral world has said "NO" to a leader gone crazy. Time to take him down. In fact, it's time he took himself down like the rest of them. History will remember a man named Quaddafi and his foolish sons. Freedom from Bad Leadership is never given. The people must take it. The Moral world is ready to act but they will test your resolve first. If you pass, they will be on your side. If you credibility is fake you will not have anyone by your side. NIGERIA PAY ATTENTION. MUGABE YOU ARE NEXT!!!
There is nothing such as moral world because if there is one, the revolution you painfully agitated would be unnecessary. Fact about what matters in the world is driven by economic interest collectively or singularly.

The issue of Libya is a matter of internal political disagreement and should be strictly allowed to be settled internally. Any attempt by the so-called UN and international community to meddle in Libyan’s internal political matter is akin to 1844 partition of Africa and usher an unprecedented UN military intervention in the continent solely driven by the economic interests of the neo-colonialists.

If the countries of the world should revert to an era when might is right, you probably will not like what would happen to Nigeria. The sovereignty of any country must be respected by the so-called UN and International community. I do not have problem if few countries decide to support the Libyan rebels thereby creating national enemies along the way as was in case of Biafra and Nigeria. However, I detest the idea of de-facto colonialism through dubious machination cooked behind doors at the so-called UN.

To answer your question, it shouldn't have any effect, that is if the job she is seeking is that of suya seller. The lady in question wants to represent a country of over 140 milloin people, an ambassador plenipotentiary, one who will be expected project our foreign policy and will without doubt find herself in situations where our National anthem will be recited quite often.

By the way, if you had read the article without your tribal lens (she's of of your tribe, I'm well aware of that) you'd have seen the she failed to impress in other areas as well eg didn't know the capital of Jigawa.
I guess you have served in a diplomatic mission where the need to correctly recite national anthem is the first order of protocol. I honestly do not think the capital of Jigawa State would ever surface in her diplomatic undertakings. It is nice to note that all these noises about national anthem were the fancies of your tribal lens.

Rural electrification to Isiebu community
Rehabilitation of the Okigwe regional water scheme
Umana-Umuelemai-Isinweke Umuahaia Road
Rural water projects at various communities in Imo north
Anara Power Station
Supply of electric transformers to several communities
Okohia Rural Health Cente
Isebu Police Station
Grant of scholarships to several indigent and deserving students at various levels of education (both at home and abroad),

Ararume is the man to take Imo forward.

Ararume IMO 2011
Do not pay any mind to the original poster. As a mere Senator, Ararume accomplished milestones Ohakim could not match as a governor. In addition to road rehabilitation, I was really impressed with the work done on Umuelemai- Anara road and Umuelema-Amaraku road.

What effect does correctly reciting Nigerian National Anthem have on a person’s ability to adequately serve the country in any field of human endeavor? Nigeria is indeed an empty entity. If reciting Nigerian National Anthem was a prompt criterion to get elected into NASS, most of these senators would not have been elected.

It is unfortunate that Senators who seemed to raise eyebrows over failure to recite an anthem as patriotic issue failed to kick against the frauds and embezzlements perpetrated by members of NASS and Executive branch of government.

I have always insisted dt d union can work, if and only if, d right framework is put in place and followed. And what is/are ds framework? Sovereign National Conference wt intention to create a free republic on TRUE federalism.

Every region has enough capacity to b self sufficient if necessity for her economoc survival becomes inevitable. I consider d call for brake-up as childish and myopic. Anyone who has truely visited and actively been exposed to true economic potentials of each region of Nigeria will understand better. None, i repeat, NONE of d regions is potentially poor or unsustainable economically. True federalism and resourse control will only force d regions to become productive and prudent. It can only end as win-win situation. But i bet u, fragmentation will only lead to an unknown outcome wc doesnt seem good for many pssible reasos
The decapitation and headache analogy is very lame. Decapitation is very necessary to stop the spread of certain incurable deceases such as cancer. Failure to apply such drastic measure of surgical removal of such decease results into instant death. Nigeria's problem is not a mere headache.

You have alluded to the fact each region has potential to drive its destiny one way or the other. Anybody who thinks corruption is the major headache of Nigeria is in a deep slumber. The corruption aspect of any society could be corrected by application of certain deterrents without fear or favor however tribal biases alive and growing in any country can only be stopped by disintegration. It happened during the formative years of countries in Europe and Asia. However, Africa was different as colonial masters were only interested in the resources found on the continent.

There were menaces of certain individuals in a town of the east. On the morning of certain day, the citizens of the region decided that enough was enough and went on rampage to eradicate the root cause of the menaces. The rampage would not have occurred if there were competing tribal interests among the citizens.

Nigeria must be disintegrated to allow for new sense of cooperation among the emerging nation states.
