Aigbofa: Ooni's comment was made about 35 years after Awo left office, that will be like blaming Murtala for what Jonathan did or didn't do! Does that make any sense to you?I do not think you are on the wavelength with Kabiyesi and me on this issue. If Ibadan was not developed according to Kabiyesi, what is the mad rant about the so-called Awolowo’s development of Lagos instead of the seat of western regional government in Ibadan? Again, according to Kabiyesi, Ibadan is not developed period. |
kulyie: please stop d tribalism for goodness sake.see yourself as a nigerian instead of an igbo, yoruba or hausa.this is one of the things causing disunity and retrogression.as am typing am on the que in uba and i was observing people while typing, everyone is tensed up,angry, easily provoked and on the edge.its a pity nigeria is degenerating by the day as opposed to where it is supposed to be all things being equalThis is a typical statement borne out of emptiness. It is humanly impossible to make or create something out of nothing. There is no apparent reason on the ground in Nigeria for a person to see oneself as a Nigerian instead of his\her tribal affinity. At least, there is an essence of mother tongue as against Pidgin English which is considerably alien to Nigerians. Since you understood that things are not being equal in Nigeria, why did you waste the Internet bandwidth trying to be deceitful? |
Katsumoto: If you give Dede1 ample time, he will find a way to blame Awo for Adam taking Eve's apple. You are a funny chap indeed. |
Aigbofa: How many years had passed between when the Ooni made that statement and when Awo was the premier? Do you think Awo had solved every problem facing Yorubaland for eternity? You should have said so in your previous posts while hailing Awolowo as the second best thing God created after the slice of bread. In fact, you have just reiterated my sentiment if the alleged statement by Ooni was made years ago. |
What does the result mean? Someone said 7As, but all I see is numbers
Now I know the reason behind your ignorant rants on this forum. From the post above, it is safe to say you did not take WAEC. I knew through providence, the olodo(s) on the forum will expose their dirty backsides. Anybody who took WAEC and had presentable result should know that the posted WAEC allegedly belonging to Chika Ike has 6As, 1C and 1P. |
afam4eva: Apart from being human beings, what qualification do these LASTMA officials have? I think the LASG should start looking the way of graduates especially from Lagos state owned institutions. That way, the number of touts in uniform will reduce to the barest minimum.Area Boys |
saxywale: There are two names you’ve mentioned repeatedly, Babangida and Obasanjo. What is your relationship with Babangida today? First because during his last visit to Ile-Ife, on his way out of office, just before Osun State was created, we were assured that Ife would become the state capital at that time and of course, it never happened. What was your relationship with Babangida then, and now?“He said, “Kabiyesi, why do you want me to break Yorubaland any further?” I said, “the one you gave us in Oyo State cannot even develop Ibadan, how much more other towns surrounding Oyo State”. This quotation in the above post has buttressed my point about the rate of development in western region or lack thereof especially in conjunction with Lagos, Awolowo and AG. |
t9, ...did you read Kadiri's article on Achebe and Adichie? Before igbos start clamoring for ICC and human rights intervention they should pick up Kadiri's article and read. Kadiri said they circulated leaflets showing the picture of dead Balewa with a rooster perched on top. ......and the mofos wonder why gambari unleashed terror on them. whhatt!
The typical indulgences in the act of loud mouthing and craving for the niche to propagate falsehood by the Yoruba peeps have deliberately identified them as irrelevant trolls. The moronic ninnies such Kadiri started by alleging the Ndigbo produced a song titled Ewu na ebe Akwaa to taunt the northern Muslims and Christians over the death of northern politicians killed during the January 15, 1966 coup. When such ridiculous falsehood was debunked, the scoundrels generated another falsehood such as “Ndigbo circulated leaflets showing the picture of dead Balewa with a rooster perched on top”. The pictures of dead northern politicians killed during January 15, 1966 coup were circulated by New Nigerian Newspaper based in Kaduna and had Hausa dude as Chief Editor. |
kodilson: That`s the stupid and unfounded trash people hear every day from these igbo guys. The story is now the other way round.Part of that your Ngwaland migrated from old Ikwerre/Etche,notablly Owa-aza.The above post is one of the most nonsensical craps I have to read on this forum. The name, Eche, is abbreviated one. The people of Eche, unlike some delusional Ikwerri peeps, have never directly or indirectly denied being Igbo. Even the major highway from Igwe Ocha to Eche LGA is named Igbo Road. The mention of Owaza in the silly post described the poster as a troll. The present Eze of Owaza is my high school mate and friend. I was born and raised within the area of the subject matter. Owaza has been an erstwhile component of Asa County Council and later Ukwa LGA. There is nothing remotely about Benin in connection with ancestral people of Owaza or Eche or Ukwa or Ngwa or Uratta. One of most exaggerated recorded events of mankind points to the so-called Empire of Benin. |
souldust: but claiming other people is what your people do. I have had a difficult time telling your brodas in other thread that idoma and igala and tiv are not igbo but they wont listen. They want to continue to claim us.I do not know any wonderful or great genetic straits in Idoma, Igala or Tiv to spur any Igbo person to claim these aforementioned groups as Igbo. It is either the Igbo person is ill-informed, which I doubt very much or you are acutely delusional. |
gogo2003: since july 1966 when Yoruba and abokis decided to destroy Nigeria things felled apartDo not pay any mind to the fool that goes by the name Yusuf Maitama-Sule. He was one of the foot soldiers to Ahmadu Bello who canvassed for northern region for northerners. He supported a mere Lt Col to usurp the position of Head of State when there was a superior officer with the rank of Brigadier and second in command to the so-called missing Head of State. This moronic dingbat joined forces with ill-informed dullards to persecute a war against the group of people that wanted meaningfulness in philosophy, intellectualism, politics and creativity. The innocence of Nigeria, the moronic Yusuf Maitama-Sule tried to reference, was killed in 1966, buried in 1967 and shall never resurrect. Nigeria will continue its steady slide on the slippery path of destruction. |
The idiocy that drives certain moronic trolls to falsely create or point out boundaries meant to dictate the limit of geographical landmarks of another ethnic group leads to war. It is plain stupidity for a non-Igbo person to remotely engage in a boundary discussion that concerns Ndigbo. The truth of the matter is there is no geographical landmark such as delta created by River Niger. The term, Niger Delta, is a misnomer. The delta called Niger delta is created by rivers such as Niger, Benue, Imo, Urashi and Utanmini, I would not mind the name Biafra but would prefer Republic of Igbo land to represent the patriotic homeland of Igbo people. It is utter nonsense for any fool to insinuate Ndigbo will ever claim a non-Igbo as Igbo. |
Every city on the earth has certain littered scenery and Owerri is not an exception. It is not uncommon for a person with dirty ride and uses detergent and water as windshield cleaner to be attracted to areas of filthiness. I am disappointed with childish antics of Okija_juju. Again Rochas Okorocha does not come across as a published individual when compared with Ohakim. So I am not surprised to see certain pictures of Owerri in state of decay under the watch of Imo State current governor. |
afam4eva: The two paragraphs in your post are disagreeing with each other. There is not doubt Owerri is still involving city but the poster showed acts of crass disingenuous by posting pictures of littered roads and sidewalks, construction sites and two rundown institutions of higher learning to represent Owerri. I am one of the first persons to flaw the alms-giving style of Rochas Okorocha administration. A political ploy designed to bamboozle the undiscerning and politically myopic onlookers. |
@OP The intent of the poster, which is blackmail, was obvious on the posted pictures of Owerri. Okija_juju’s interest on littered roads and dirty construction sites around Owerri was well documented through the pictures. I am not surprise though after all, the pictures came from a man who uses detergent and water for windshield cleaner. Granted the poster has maniacal and ulterior motives, the pictures had supported my impression of Rochas Okorocha as a complete jester. I could not believe the Owerri ring road remains where Ohakim stopped. It is very funny to talk about free education when there is no citable school in Imo State. The environs of Imo State University and Alvan Ikoku College of Education look more like psychiatric asylum than places of study. |
Rossikk: A DAMNING INDICTMENT.To address you as a fool is an insult to dullards. My grandfather told me to forgive the person whom I had tough fight but the person who stood on the sideline while instructing my opponent to have stronghold on me through the loopholes. I guess fools tend to cherish the same delight. It explains the reason why anybody would regard NPN as a regional political party. |
Edumogiren: Imagine the so-called moslems are saying they are against the changing of the two millitary officer,Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Nigeria’s Muslim umbrella organization, under the leadership of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has expressed objection to recent military redeployments following the twin suicide bombings of a military church at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) in Jaji, Kaduna State. And he also said the changing of the two moslim generals and replace with christian general there must be other motive behind the exercise.THE QUESTION is that, what did the sultan of sokoto said when the National Security Adviser General Ajazi Oweye(a christian) was sacked and replaced with a moslim man.Did any christian organisation, group or traditional leaders confronted Dr. Jonathan why Gen.Ajazi shld not be removed? The president of the Niger Delta Ball Game/Oil boys Group is telling the Sultan of Sokoto to desist from such scurilous act,and be conscience of his utterance in the public, because this is really a security issue has to do with life and property. They shld allow Dr.Jonathan to carry out his security matters in the countryNigerians are mentally out of order. When a minority group such as Fulani is politically empowered in any entity, the idiotic shenanigan you described in the above post flows freely. |
I read through the posts on the thread about “Enugu being the pride of east” and laughed at the ignorance exhibited by some posters. The acts of posting unguarded comments borne out of ignorance on the public domain create unwanted posts as evidenced by the thread in this discuss. The mere insinuation that Anambra State or origin of Anambra is better than all Igbo people can be safely described as figment of imagination. The historical achievements of Ndigbo did not start with Azikwe or Ojukwu or Achebe and end with Akunyili or Ezekwesili or Soludo. The pillars of achievement among Ndigbo are enormous and should not spur certain people into unnecessary childish exuberance. |
odumchi: I have a question regarding Igbo music. The above post is a typical example of misinformation and opinion stated out of ignorance. Nothing could be farther from truth than the quote from the above post such as “What I've noticed is that in the Highlife era (60s to 80s) Anambra and Delta were the "hotbeds" of music in Igboland”. |
It is funny some dullards on this thread are clapping for Sanausi for stating what had been obvious since Nigeria’s independence. It was the same federal character and quota system, among other things, that constituted the core reason behind the January 15, 1966 coup. For example, Alhaji Tanko Galadima, who could not pronounce the word-Lieutenant, suddenly became the Minister for Defense. Most northern subalterns who would not have been allowed as civilian guards at the gates of Nigerian Defense Academy became army officers and some went on to assume the position of Head of State of Nigeria. I had always laughed at the Nigerians when they ask how Nigeria got to this retrogressive stage. The answer lies with leadership of Nigeria from northern region of Nigeria which has brought nothing to Nigeria but mediocrity. |
Electoral College shall be accepted as long as there are equal numbers of states in the North and as in the South. In addition, the so-called geo-political zones should have equal number of states in each zone. If the Senators should constitute the Electoral College, it is imperative that each zone has equal number of senators. Any impasse during electioneering process could be resolved through the acceptance of a candidate, at least, in 2/3 of the geopolitical zones. |
I have always believed that a person or group of people should finish whatever the person or group of people started. Nigeria has stepped into the path of creating states, political zones and democracy. Democracy is known, among other things, as a game of numbers. Since there are few zones with 7 and 6 states in federating unit called Nigeria, the so-called southeastern zone must have 7 states to equal the numbers states in some zones for the simple matter of fairness and justice. There is no doubt that those who seemed to dislike the idea of state creation at this juncture are sworn enemies of Ndigbo. If southeast political zones has the largest number of states in Nigeria and produces more members of federal house of representatives, the cries of Igbo domination would have busted the hell wide open. |
@OP The original poster is a flat ignorant fellow in all facets of human endeavor. I really wonder if the poster should be allowed to cross a major traffic carriageway alone without a guide. Ndigbo have not lost any war in Nigeria. However, Biafra lost a civil war to Nigeria while been led by an Igbo person. Since the cessation of hostility, the victors had continued the physiological warfare within the corridors of powers which had ever led Nigeria. One of the results of such physiological warfare on the presumed leaders of the breakaway ethnic group is, among other things, the creature in the mould of original poster. The case of seeking for a country such as Biafra or Republic of Igbo land lies with attitude of the victor. It does not surprise me a bit that original poster has been harangued by victorious Nigerians to begin to question the reason for his\her existence on earth. Most Igbo people such as any reasonable and confident group in the world would want to have a country where any Igbo person would not engage in a silly thought like the poster did, especially the discussion of bring voted as president of Nigeria. I tried hard to reason with poster but each turn uncovers self-acclaimed idiocy. It is unfathomable exercise to blame a group of people for wanting a better country than Nigeria because the poster had accepted this particular group is “screwed” in the so-called democracy and even wanted the group to assume the status of “minority” yet seemed to encourage a continuous co-existence in bubble of emptiness. It is display of idiocy for the original poster to demand behavioral demeanor from Ndigbo which is not compatible with Nigeria. Honestly, I do not think there is a right-thinking Igbo chap who would want to be the president of the cesspit called Nigeria. |
Reference: So you guys can see that the problem in this country is essentially structural. The structural imbalances in this country has provided refuge for all sorts of intransigent social diseases from corruption to religious sanctioned genocide just like the rubbles of Stalingrad gave rise to the defeat of Germans in 1942.The aforementioned historians in the above post will always have Ndigbo to be blamed. |
I learnt Gowon has a child with an Igbo lady. |
These types of awards and cheap publicities given to irrelevant fellows and subsequently used as reference by moronic dullards in certain debates destroy my taste to engage in intellectual exercise. What has Atiku led in his miserable life to be considered for anything leadership talk less of leadership award? |
In 1975, John Chukwu has already made a film and yet he could not be called the founder or father of Nollywood. This same applies to Fela Anikolakpu Kuti and his music. When the western regional based news media were blowing horn about Fela’s music, those of us in south, especially south-east, never cared about his music since they have songs from musicians and bands such as Osita Osadebe, Peacooks, Oriental Brothers, Oliver De Coque, Cardianl Rex, Uwaifo, Wings, Funkies, Founders 15, Wrinkers Experience, Strangers, Semi Colon, Magnificent Zenith, Black Children, Apostles, One World, Sweet Breeze, Doves, etc. It has been inherently evidenced that Yoruba people will arrogate to themselves as founders of everything in Nigeria. Although such claims seemed to be correct in certain circumstances but draw serious blank in majority of the areas. |
