Policing is currently under the control of the federal government!
State policing can only happen when the national assembly amend the constitution by removing the police from the exclusive to concurrent list which is the states!
For state policing to be effective,it must be properly funded and independent of any political influence!

National assembly is a constitution of states representatives, so it's still up to the states...I personally heard on the news some governors saying they can't fund it,.we can't blame the presidency on that. NA members were voted in just as the president was. Nigerians should face the NA.

Nigerian security forces ought to arrest and prosecute group leaders who come out to directly or indirectly claim responsibility for Benue attacks, people know these people, they should be investigated, so they give information on their members, and through them they will be able to investigate, in order to arrest the gunmen.

Southern Nigeria have millions of indigenous hunters, northern hunters should hunt in northern forests.

Northern hunters need authorisation from southern governors and government to come hunt here, moreover I think it's mischievous and sinister, a plan of encroachment to travel all the way from the North to hunt in the south....especially due to the prevailing security crises in our forests, we don't want anyone in southern forests, stay in forests of the North.

If northern hunters come hunt all our game, what will our hunters hunt?

The south can rear its own cows in ranches, and hunt it's own meat, we have our fertile land, we have oil, rubber and cash crops. We don't need North, North need south.
