Well i see the issue of adding some minorities and deporting non indigenes will be a big issue. well i for one believe in thd goodness of people. Yorubas can't be expert in many things, diversity in our human resources would help in the long run, remember the people are what makes a nation great.

now the issue of deportation of some, i support that to an extent. People should be given a specific time to round up dere affairs and leave voluntary, people who have no registered business, landed property should be made to leave.

people who own property or business should be made to apply for naturalization, including people who were born on Yoruba soil but of non indigenous parent's. the children are citizens of the Yoruba nation be default except they choose not to. forcibly deporting people will make us look bad, this people can go get ECOWAS passport and come back, working visas also, business visa also.

i believe in a greater border control, we need to create border post at all port of entry, where we check the influx of migrants.

I even know a few people who are not Yoruba, but are so assimilated into the Yoruba culture, that they are even alienated from their own paternal culture. Some of their maternal grandparents can trace their origins to border towns within the SW region. Would they be deported too? This needs a lot of careful thought & consideration...

This is a decision that needs to be made in the beginning. I don't think you understand the amount of non yoruba residents in the southwest. We don't want another Nigeria situation. I don't think there's anything wrong in wanting a tolerant nation that welcomes immigrants who are willing to assimilate, and to swear their primary loyalty to their adopted nation, but the fact is that there is a clear, strong link between ethnic fractionalization and state dysfunction. It should be crystal clear to everyone by now that most Nigerians feel no real loyalty to their "nation" as opposed to their ethnic groups, which is one reason why 57 years of attempted state-building has so little to show for it.

I am a full blooded Yoruba man. The only way to have a progressive country is to be open minded, you can't have a purely Yoruba nation, it is totally impossible. you can quote me. There are many inter-racial people amongst us, many people who were born n bred in the south west and have lived their life here, you can't possibly ask them to leave.

Take for example, there is an Igbo chief in Ibadan, he is a title chief although not on the Crown lineage simply cos he does not have a family house. But the man is in his late sixties I think, was born in Ibadan but his parents are from the east. He's an Ibadan man, he's a well respected chief and part of the decision makers. His children by origin are Ibos but by birth are South Westerners, they don't even speak ibo . are you going to ask them to leave their birth place, ibadan? They claim to be from Ibadan

Yoruba as a race, has thrived more than any other in Nigeria cos of our sense of inclusion, sense of acceptance, once loyalty is shown and allegiance is pledged. We will do better by that, I think.
