Education / Re: Apply For 2023/2024 PTDF Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme by Deedz: 12:50am On Sep 09, 2023
If i was a scammer sending out those mails, best believe i wouldnt use 2023/2024 so that at the end of the day if all hell breaks lose, you cant say I scammed them with the correct scholarship year.
And the recipients would also rationalise it as a typo.
ExpertNLer:
I'm sorry but your personal opinion doesn't count here - multiple people have received emails. This isn't the first time PTDF is making a mistake. As someone that knows exactly how last year's email looked like, this is clearly not last year's email

You may actually be right. Because I've seen previous ptdf award mails and it looks nothing like this. Just maybe the first paragraph is the same. There is no logo on this as well. No mention of induction either. It should also bear the applicants full 3 names. 2 of these screenshots don't look like its the complete names.

On the other hand, the profiles of the recipients seem to have changed on the portal.

So either its a really deep insider job. Or it is real afterall. We await the ptdf list later in the day sha.

I strongly feel some scammers edited some shit and decided to spread it. I may be wrong but honestly a Govt. Agency like PTDF won't sent half-baked mails.
Again my personal opinion

Hello
Pls any info on where i can check my name on the dpr list...... was called for a CBT at Jkk in July 2017. Since then i haven't heard anything from DPR.

After then, those who passed were called for an interview in December. It's the successfuls from the interview who are checking the list.

Only 5 people on the merit list from my state, they were suppose to be 11, but stakeholders hijacked the remaining slots. We are five that made the merit list and i know 2, and we are all engineers. 1 mechanical engineer and 2 chemical engineers. If you have someone at FCC abuja he can help can check for you.

Which state are you from and please can you help me check? You seem to have the link and I don't know where FCC office is, talk less of knowing anyone.

Neverdown, God bless you for dealing out these bitter pills and not backing down. For those who shouted me in, thank God I'm not the only one who heard this. All our eyes better stay open because Nigeria has not changed at ALL. Nepotism is the order of the day. There is no list for the merits yet. If there is, it is hidden deep. The northerners have majority of the slots. We better pray because something is happening.

Wat's more than 160,Pple DAT collected APL?

grin grin you people should calm down. The number of viewers on naira land on Monday. The guy said they weren't up to 100. So I corrected him.

My brother I love your optimistic stance regarding merit in this recruitment but I must add that your analysis about percentages are not verifiable. You cannot be too sure that less than 80 people have collected APLs considering the fact that nairaland constitutes a very minute percentage of expectant candidates. Even at the height of speculations on Monday when the APLs where displayed, the total number of guests and members online was not up to 100 persons. So let us just be calm and commit this process to God and be less sentimental about it and everything will work out fine... Cheers

The total number was more than 160. I personally counted.

grin grin grin oga didn't you get angry and storm off last year because of the supposed damaged Nigerian system as you didn't get called back for the interview? Why are you back again? Let those of us who hold onto our belief in the merit list be abeg.

EngrVin:
80% merit!!! Be deceiving urself oo... Even NPower now isn't 80% merit. U expect a juicy job like DPR to be on merit! U haven't even prayed to see 20% merit sef. A job like this is what politicians use to settle their debt. Only few lucky ones gets in without connection

Most of our sources agree tomorrow is the day. So before then, I'd just like to say this:

The past year and 6 months have been emotionally Laden. It's made it so much easier to bear knowing that I have people who feel as anxious as I do to see the end of this recruitment and be counted amongst the successful. We've been a little community in our own way, with thousands of people who want to same thing. For those of us who make it (both merit and connection - God gave them the link), I thank God because he has mercy on who he chooses to have mercy on. And he has counted you amongst those he has chosen for this job. The remaining thousands who haven't gotten the job, your own turn is coming. That's how life is.

So, thank you to hammer 2010. Our house comedian extraordinaire. Thank you to the speculators. Thank you to all who used their links to get us the facts that they could, not caring about people who would insult or bring them down. You gave us little sprinkles of hope and that was better than not having any at all. God bless you. Thank you to everyone who contributed in one way or the other. Thank you to all the silent readers. You added to our numbers and we're all in this boat together. To all the people who wanted the thread closed, i hope you can rest one day. God bless each of us. Happy new month and cheers to the rest of our lives.

Sorry to dispute but they cannot include more people solely because people r expected to decline. What if people don't decline!! Dats not a weighty reason to include more people..

What she meant is that they are including postings so that those who decline will do so immediately and they will add more people. Instead of sending in APL first, then posting later.

DivineKayy, I want to ask about the accommodation plans. You've given us a clue about feeding and transportation and where the training school is.
Will they give accommodations throughout 4 months, or are we to make our own way? (I ask because first bank used to give accommodation, but this last batch, they told the trainees to fend for themselves at last minute) It's crucial to know something like this before hand so that those of us who don't reside in Lagos will start making plans.

Yet another cooler of beans has been prepared for the 29th. Those who ate the one prepared for today will now be purging. With all this numerous dates, it's best we hopefuls just wait for when dpr will contact us. Instead of raising BP up and down. The end is already upon us.
