We can mention all those things but at the end of the day, idolatry is a matter of the heart and the sad thing is that those caught up in this sin are often oblivious to the truth because of the rebellious spirit that comes with idolatry.

Well it's a big question. No stranger is getting into my at that time of the night. Questions surrounding this man's death is very troubling. I drove by the 3400 block of West Illinois Avenue in Dallas where the guy was shot yesterday, the name of the Shopping Complex is "fiesta Shopping Complex" and the place is very Ghetto even though there were some schools nearby. The man lives in Arlington,Texas and came to Dallas,Texas (about 30 min. drive apart) at that time of the night to allow a girl to get in his car? Very Sad indeed.

very good points - the AU is powerless and can not challenge any western nation let alone the US controlled UN, what is happening in libya now sets a very dangerous precedent as it means that america along with its other collaborators can now safely invade a sovereign nation under any pretext they decide to cook up at any given time, i said in an earlier post that nigeria should watch her back as they might be next,  the oil and gas contracts that america and europe negotiated with gadaffi were made on terms which were not very favourable to their oil companies, i wonder what the current situation is in nigeria with regard to oil and gas contracts because if the nigerian govt  are getting a bigger cut out of it than the west are willing to tolerate and if the incomign govt refuses to redress this in favour of the west , nigeria might be destined for the next round of revolutions/bombing campaigns/ regime change or whatever they want to term it.

Sunday Tribune learnt that an 18 year old Dallas woman, Rayshell Cooks, is now facing murder charge in the death of Sodeinde.



Witnesses told police that Cooks got into Sodeinde's car at an east Oak Cliff grocery store in the night. They then saw the car come to an abrupt halt soon after it left the parking lot and Cooks jumped out.

Homicide detectives interviewed Cooks, but she had little to say about the crime.

Sodeinde, 45, was shot in the head about 9:15 p.m. in the 3400 block of Illinois Avenue, west of Interstate 45.

The suspect ran away but was later arrested, police said.

But you don't need to. I already told you that Gadaffi's son admitted that troops fired on unarmed protestors. Do you understand that? He did that on national Libyan TV. If he admitted that his troops shot unarmed protestors, it's futile you protesting that it didn't happen.

Oil is not a factor. [/b]As I have repeatedly pointed out, the West obtains minimal amount of oil from Libya and they already have drilling deals balanced in their favour.

[b]The West stands to lose financially if the rebels take power. The claim that this is about oil is not well thought through as Gaddafi has already given the oil rights to the West at a cheaper price than they will have to pay if he is deposed.

As war creates new markets, most seasoned observers know the jewel in the eye is Libyan’s nationalized Oil Industry.

I stand with the AU on this one -  we need to find a different solution which would not reduce Libya to pre-colonial conditions through repeated bombing on her infrastructure.

Even Gaddafi's own son admitted that his troops fired on and killed unarmed protestors.
He blamed it on "poor training" of all things.
That's without even taking into account the claim by a senior Libyan soldier that Saaid Gaddafi himself ordered troops to open fire on civilians.

As for calling the rebels "Islamic extremists", you sound as confused as Gaddafi himself when he says that this is a "Christian Crusade" and that the rebels are Al Qaeda. Christian Crusaders allying themselves with Al Qaeda? Doesn't the guy watch the news?

African leaders, sorry leaders in some African countries are speaking against the UN resolution cos most of them are guilty of holding on to power undemocratically, in most cases using instrument of state to crush opposition. I have been watching CNN all day and I haven't heard the name Africa mentioned when they are talking about Libya. The only name I hear is Arab. So IMO Libya is not considered an African country by this ppl so what is the AU's point? Well I still believe that the US and co are have wounds that have refused to heal, hence the attack on libya. They should go to Bahrain (home of a us military base) and Ivory coast (which has no oil), until then I dey laugh in arabic! Mean while, we can't afford to ve another Iraq iin this continent.
