I prefer poultry for meat production though both are very lucrative. The ideology that meat production market is seasonal is wrong. There are lots of poultry meat processing company springing up and you can as well negotiate a deal with eateries around you.
The capital required for egg production is relatively high. In conclusion, I'll suggest you go into both so you can make use of the returns from the meat production to feed the pullets before they start laying. Good luck!
