I learnt from a reliable source that the guy is a druggie so you can imagine what is happening to the money in Bayelsa. They should have removed him long ago. You need to see the way he has beautified Bayelsa in a negative sense.
EducationRe: Has American English Taken Over From British English? by deelobe: 5:57am On Nov 01, 2011
I am an English graduate and a lecturer and my observation is that there is confusion these days in differentiating the American English from the Standard British English so while going through papers and projects you observe the use of words like gotten which is American. It is actually an evolution and the British themselves are affected by this change.

To be honest with you, the average American English is terrible
EducationRe: Church Universities Are The Most Expensive In Nigeria by deelobe: 5:52am On Nov 01, 2011
UcheChima while I agree with you that the prices I disagree with your surmise that the monies for establishing the churches are from Tithes and offering. I am a lecturer not in any of the listed universities and I can tell you that the challenges of running a university in Nigeria is inexhaustible. it is easy to look from the outside and conclude until you are inside.

I do not draw my conclusions when looking at a matter on face value. You dont need to look too far. Look at the state of our state and federal universities with the exception of UNILAG and other universities who have other income. The universities are almost collapsing. They cannot pay salaries regularly, lack of facilities. The list is endless. When you look at all these you will realise that there are not too expensive. The only thing they can do is to offer scholarships to assist those that cannot afford to pay.

PoliticsD SUG President In Unijos Now Information Minister says subsidy is long overdue by deelobe(op): 11:23pm On Oct 20, 2011
23 years ago,in 1988, the SUG president in UNIJOS led a team of students in a protest against the removal of oil subsidy during the regime of the dictator, Ibrahim Babaginda. He termed "A crime against the Nigerian masses and a war against the poor. That SUG president is Mr Labaran Maku, the present minister for information. His new tune is that the removal is long over due.

Inconsistency has been the bane of some of our leaders. Can we now say that his tune has changed because his palms have been greased Or does this also mean that tune would have changed if IBB had greased his palms. I this to you fellow Nigerians

PoliticsRe: Fashola And Lagos Roads by deelobe: 9:24pm On Jul 12, 2011
Lagos Boy I concur with you. I hope Fashola or one of his people will read this. I live off Kayode Street the link road between Onikpanu and Musin. Kayode street was resurfaced and that can only last one month. The Musin end cannot be talked about it is eye sore. I have always wondered whether its because of party loyalty that he has turned a blind eye to all these things. Eko O ni baje

PoliticsRe: What Can Be Done To Stop The Flooding In Lagos? by deelobe: 9:29pm On Jul 11, 2011
The Lagos state government could also set up a panel of professional, properly trained and experienced town planners to work on doing something about the floow. It will lead to some houses being demolished but the government can compensate them. this will be for the common good
PoliticsRe: Heavy Rain Floods Parts Of Lagos by deelobe: 9:26pm On Jul 11, 2011
I never thought a day will come when in Nigeria we will be talking of this kind of disaster in Lagos, but this warning has been coming for over 26 years and nothing was done. It is well. I was sleeping the comfort of my home while others were slugging it out must of been really terrible. I really empathise with all the people that lost properties and houses during the flood may the Lord comfort you and give you peace. When there is life there is hope

PoliticsSolution To The Flood Problem In Lagos by deelobe(op): 9:16pm On Jul 11, 2011
I discussed this Lagos issue with a friend today and he suggested that what Lagos can do is what they have done in India. They built tunnels undergorund that recycle the water and have pipes attached to these tunnels through which these excess water are disposed of. Lagos is the commercial hub of this nation and everyone including the Federal govt should pitch in to settle this problem because I learnt it is capital intensive.

RomanceRe: Virginity Remains A Virtue After All Said And Done! by deelobe: 4:23pm On Jul 05, 2011
What is the big deal about being a virgin. It all boils down to personal decision. I am an unapologetic VIRGIN. I will remain one even if I do not marry. It was a decision I made from the time I was a child. I was not going to give myself to a man who use me as a toilet but to a man who will love and cherish me. I am still waiting. So KUDOS to all virgins you are not missing anything. My firneds know and they respect my decision. Have I been tempted yes but my resolve is strong and am not gonna change it

Please Sanusi you are not talking to uneducated, unenlightened people. We see your end. We are waiting for you at the end of the tunnel. Jonathan had better speak up over this stupid plan and do something immediately

RomanceRe: She discovered her hubby is gay. by deelobe: 9:31pm On Jun 11, 2011
She should first give him the bobbi treatment. the world is really coming to an end. Hve you ever seen a gay couple you would want to throw up. Even though we have them in Naija they can never rear their ugly heads. I do not hate the people but the act is really unbecoming. Turning around what God created under the guise of orientation. That lady should bail and go and take care of her child. Of course after making him pay heavily
