I appreciate where PMB is coming from and his selection criteria, however it clearly shows how narrow his relationships and political space is. It will be unfortunate if those close to him will just do his bidding without questioning his rationale or if they simply are a mirror of his opinion or agenda.4 Years will tell... |
Its the message and its intent that matters.... |
Prof remains one of the best in the legal field and a gentleman. I hope this come to bear in Nigeria's governance we will support your endeavors with our voice that must be heard |
its this simple... behind the scenes ultimatums are being give the Jonathan Govt. they both must work together for a peaceful transition |
No to suppression of press freedom under any guise! If GMB was a private citizen this would have been accepted. Na clap dey start dance o! |
dunkem21:GEJ advisers were not good enough with so may bad eggs sabotaging his sincere efforts. He consulted too widely and peddled to northern political establishment who were using insecurity to undermine his government. There was a time when Azazi as his security adviser confronted him and advised he goes against them squarely but a man of peace preferred negotiation.Azazi was taken out. There was a time when Ihejerika went all out against BH and he was accused of genocide and all sort.He was retired. GEJ never stood his ground until the last minute. That was his greatest undoing.Seeking peace at the expense of lives being lost. GEJ was hounded out of office. Its more than just GEJ but to discerning minds it points to the state and mindset of the ruling class in Nigeria. I do sincerely hope that "Nigerians" who have embraced this change have the opportunity to vote out "clueless government" in the future without being victimized. |
No corrupt person will be appointed into my Government. They will declare their asset.-GMB We are watching and will hold you to your words |
Can't stop laughing Amaechi you don plait your wife hair finish so? Bonnywoman hair na werrin we send you go do abi? Kontinu |
I fear for our country, reviewing the position of our leaders and we the followers, we should be ready for something strange. Like someone above said Buhari was to take loan from the OIC as the rates were lower. Have you not heard of the word the "borrower is servant to the lender"? Now we have to do a proper rethink of our system like Pastor Bakare has proposed. How I wish we could have a proper constitution and system of governance before this election. Our elites(political, religious) are killing us.... Oh God hear our cry! |
We are against postponing the elections. But we must ask ourselves some questions that will help us in the future and take the less risky path. 1)Is INEC ready? Can they get ready within this few days? 2)What is the state of security preparedness? 3)Do 90% of registered voters have their PVC 4)What are the legal loopholes that people may use to derail the electoral process if election holds is our current situation 5)Is there really tension between both candidates supporters that could exercabe the situation peradventure one loses. 6)Are there 3rd columnist taking advantage of the acrimony between both camps to derail the process. in my liltle corner though I support GEJ, I will refrain from using abusive and sensitive words,i will not support any ethnic or religious statements capable of causing further violence. We just want progress and change of our current system which no one man can change but the collective. bushdoc9919:

aresa:My position remains that our priority should be building on our democratic process which has been on an upward trajectory as witnessed in the past few years. That is the only way we can have true CHANGE where POWER is in the hands of the people and not in the hands of politicians. An ongoing CHANGE process that will lead to a system where we our votes will count, where the system of government in itself will produce opportunities for brighter minds than GEJ and GMB to lead, where politicians will be at their best ensuring programs and promises are kept. Lets not be too focused on the NOW to prefer short term measures to solve our problems. The GMB proposed candidacy has a fundamental problem with GMB's perceived sectarian nature or predisposition & lack of democratic temperament. I also do not see his solution to corruption as the long term strategy, at best a few opposition politicians will jailed and we will all be swayed away by the "perceived" fight against corruption, whilst the wolves around him and the system remains entirely corrupt.Nigeria has regressed to a degree that one man's personal integrity alone cannot salvage her. The only practical and scientific way now is for our institutions to be strengthened, free from interference and all loopholes closed. I'm also uncomfortable with Buhari's association with and reliance on the financial largesse of corrupt characters to conduct his political campaigns. It is not far fetched that these investors would populate and insidiously hijack a Buhari presidency to recoup their investments. Whatever decision we take in choosing the next president for another 4 years I do hope we make the right choice. |
The past and the present are a guide to the future We learn from our mistakes, critically evaluate the present and plan for the future The present is GEJ led FG, which has done modestly well in some sectors but failed in other areas However if we critically assess GEJ Government you will find out we can build on progress made That progress will be accelerated if we all plan and make wise decisions; not based on hate, prejudice and fanaticism. Think for yourself, open your mind and deduce what is true and what is not. A lot needs to be done and we the youth must begin critical reasoning to make the choice about our future.

Let us give deep thoughts on why we need to vote for a particular candidate. Read and search for truth and fact. If you find it spread it across the land. Please note that as young people we must begin to engage the process and politicians. Your vote is your choice, your choice is your power. Use it WISELY
