Yes it can have a negative effect because the referral process is confidential, the student is not supposed to know or have influence over what the lecturer submitted. Please ask the lecturer to email the school and notify them of this error, then resend the reference with the proper sender information.

Thank you for your response but let me add this. He has gotten admission from the school through a scanned copy of the reference letter received from the lecturer. It is not that he is just seeking for the admission. He got the admission through a scanned copy he sent to the school. This copy was from the lecturer. I agree with your suggestion of the lecturer sending them an e-mail to this effect. What they require is just the hard-copy. The letter was properly addressed. The only error he made was writing his (my brother's) name on the envelope instead of his (lecturer's).

Can someone please help with this? My brother's lecturer who was supposed to send a reference letter to a school directly in Canada for him used his (my brother's name) details as sender instead of his (lecturer's) own. Could this have any negative effect on his admission/processes? Hope to read from you. Thank you.

@Frankrobbn1, this is so true. You really have the knowledge of the course and school as a whole. I would have asked her to do as advised by you but one of the requirements for seat reservation is a letter of registration of the online course after paying the 200k+. After the payment of 5,000CAD, she will be issued a letter which she will use to apply for visa.
With Royal Roads University, does she stand a good chance of getting her visa?

What is likely to happen if she does not meet up with the grade stated (70%)?

I know about the Masters of Global Management at Royal Roads University, BC, Canada. For your information, the prerequisite course in "Academic Writing and Critical Thinking" will cost you 200k+ in Naira and you're ought to complete this short prerequiste courses prior to your enrollment into the main master's program. More so, you will pay a tuition deposit of $5,000CAD to secure a seat in the accepted term. Now, this tells you how much knowledge I have for this program and other programs in Canada.

My advise is that you shouldn't spend that 200k because its non-refundable, I would suggest you pay the 5KCAD to secure your seat and apply for your study Visa.


Alternatively, apply to University of Windsor for her Master of Management in International Accounting and Finance. It's a good program and cost 31kCAD for the 16 months and Visa chances are high with this school than Royal Roads University. These are my valid observations so far since my 4 years of enriching experiences in this process.

Hello Everyone, Please I require clarification on this;

My sister has just gotten a Conditional Admission Letter from Royal Roads University in Canada for September 2020 intake. Some of the requirements include; 1. registering and passing Academic Writing and Critical Thinking (AWCT) course with at least 70% (B), 2.Submission of copy of study permit approval letter issued by Immigration, Refugees andCitizenship Canada. All with the same deadline of 28th August 2020 while resumption is 7th Sept. 2020. Please, can she process study permit with the Conditional Admission letter?

To be honest, it doesn't matter who submits the visa application. There isn't any favoritism given to the agent or third party that submitted. Matter of fact a foreign lawyer will simply ask for default documents and doesn't know the detailed requirements, methods etc most Nigerian applicant utilise when submitting applications. I am here in Canada and I know this for a fact.all you get is a default to do list....
