What many proponent of tithing fail to realize is that Jesus Christ lived in the old testament time when the new covenant had not taken effect. This is because he needed to shed his blood and resurrect before the new covenant could take effect. That is what he told peter saying

"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. "
please note here the church of Jesus was not built or established until his death and resurection. That was why he was speaking to pharisees that they may pay tithes because the new testament had not yet come into effect. Please everybody should note that the new covenant only came into effect after the crufixion and resurection of Jesus Christ. You will note that after Christ death and resurection was when his church was established. That was when the mode of giving changed. New testament Christians are to give willingly and not out of compulsion but cheerfully for God love a cheerful giver.

I just got my Tecno phantom A+ after much reading and following of this thread. I can boldly say i am not disappointed. The phone is sleek, durable and super fast. the battery is cool tool.
However what remain now is to root this device. I followed the guidelines for rooting phantom A but could not get it rooted. the error msg it was giving me is that it was unable to write or create the superuser file. please note that i followed the guidelines to the letter i am just suprised why it did not get rooted.@coolstan and other gurus where are thou?

The real color of a typical nigerian thing is clearly evident in this GTbank mobile money. after much hazzle, i was finally able to use the app on my old phone. After i got another phone and i reinstall the app on my new phone, the stupid app was not allowing me to login saying my account is currently being used by another phone. So this means i have to continue using the old phone till eternity because i want to continue using this stupid app. GTbank has really messed up in this one. Even when i was using it my old phone, if i wanted to recharge i usually encountered countless unsuccessful attempts. In short this is one of the worst app in the google store. The reviews given by numerous users on the google android market is appalling. we should in short ask google to yank this diagrace of an app off the android market

Love this write up, was about writing along the same line. Democracy is not for muslim Arabs. Their religion and the very tenets of democracy are fundamentally in conflict. To resolve this is to scrap one for the other. Their religion is more important to them, so democracy has to give. Nigeria is a case in point, the predominantly christian south agitated for democracy while the muslim north was more comfortable with the military rule. Muslims are wild horses, they need strong fisted person to steer them, since they are inherently violent in nature, they respond more positively to violent and strong-fisted ruler, a case in point is the way Jonathan initially handled the boko haram issue with too much docility. Notice a drastic turnaround in his fight with boko haram when he opted for the use of force. The west are just wasting their time, democracy will never work for the muslims.

Mobile money service with GTBANK is off the hook. great service, helluva lot of flexibilities 24/7 access and control to your account, i recharge my phones, transfer money to people of choice etc. More nigerians need to embrace this service to make it even more efficient. Wow is the word for my experience with mobile money with gtbank. If you are young and educated and you have not started using this service, well, all I can say is goodluck to you. I have said this countless times, it is a wasted effort trying to make these muslims see reason. I once had an encounter with a muslim professor in ABU Zaria, you only need to see what this man was spewing out concerning many issues like killing by muslims, girl child marriage and immunization etc. My conclussion from then on was if a whole professor could be reasoning like this, how would a poor and illiterate muslim reason? Education for muslims is a waste, it has little or no effect on them. Their holy book the Quran has many conflicting directives that can never be reconciled with many realities in the modern day world. Instead of hurling abuse at muslims, they really deserve your pity. I recently downloaded the GTBANK mobile money app android version to my phone. I registered and a'One Time Password' otp was sent to me, which I used to activate my account. I then proceeded to their nearest branch to link my GTBANK account to the mobile money app so as to be able to start using it for various payment. I filled a form and was assured my account will be linked in 48 hours. It is now more than a month and my account is not yet linked. I have visited their customer service severally but the story has been the same. On some occassion, the customer service guy gave me a number '3001' if I remember correctly to dial. I did but the guys at the other end were either dumb or ignorant of how the service worked. Well, since I could not fund my mobile money account by linking it with my GTB account, I proceeded to fund the account through the interswitch channels(web,ATM) etc. but the error message I kept getting is that my mobile money no is not in use or existence. Let me say at this juncture that it is the mobile no I used to open account with gtbank, and I have previously activated the mobile no on GTBANK mobile money app and have successfully logged in. This service which was suppose to make customer lives easier has frustrated me beyond measure. And let me quickly say here that I am tech savvy and by no means a novice in all of these. My question is why is GTBANK rolling out a service when it is obviously technically not ready for it?. A visit to their google app store speaks volume. There, there are overwhelming negative reviews by users of both the app and the service. So nairalanders with experience with this service, what is your take on it.

Has anyone recently noticed Airtel internet connection running abyssimally slow. From my present location here in Kaduna, their network used to be blazingly fast. But recently noticed their 3.75g turned crappy, i mean really crappy. I first observed this immediately glo blocked their bis channel on pcs and smartphones, felt the mass exodus of subscribers back to their network is overwhelming their infrastructure .
