Kalu, who had, while declaring his intention to contest the highest office in the land, said the hardship and despair across the landscape, occasioned by poor governance
True confession, I was a bad governor and I was planning to continue being a poor leader, but there are others who are actually worse than me, since Nigerians want poor leadership I have decided to allow a greater "poor leader" to continue to give poor leadership to the fools and slaves who call themselves Nigerians. SLAVES!!! Kalu which of your gang members do you say we should follow?

Meritocracy required to produce visionary leaders!

The problem is that we don’t have a meritocracy and potential visionary leaders are not likely to break through all the way to the top, nevertheless, things are slowly changing.

Imagine someone like BRF (Fashola) with clear purpose, vision and leadership and ask yourselves if he could get to be President in today’s Nigeria, and if your answer is no, then why not? Furthermore, whilst considering his traits, and all he has strived to achieve, imagine how much he could really achieve if he had dictatorial powers (not that I’m advocating this, I’m just citing examples).

If we turn to a meritocracy, and start getting the right personnel into positions then progress and development would flourish
Are you a Christian? If yes do you believe in the bible? If yes do you believe that David Oyedepo preaches that his members will get jobs beating those who are more qualified than them? How is that for meritocracy?

And dont blame Oyedepo he is just preaching what he got from the bible.
Forget meritocracy forget visionary leadership. Why because God has said "The race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong, " Ecclesiastes 9:11.
What does Ecclesiastes 9:11 meanhuh

Without Sahara Reporters Nigeria will be a far worse place than it is today. These are citizen journalists. They make tremendous sacrifices to their well being to carry out  these tasks. This type of dedication is uncommon in Nigerians. In the end Sahara Reporters is as good as we the citizens make it. Citizen Journalists need every one support and participation to be effective.

He maintained that the former president deserved what he got, as according to him, a man in glass house must not throw stones.

In his words: “While I agree that elders deserve respect, not all elders are responsible and, therefore, do not deserve to be called elders simply because they wear grey hairs without inward maturity.

“If our younger brother in the PDP wants PDP nomination, he should earn same through the people’s mandate in his constituency and not through his unwarranted apology to Obasanjo.”
What was the name of the party of elders and chiefs who sold their own brothers and sisters children into slavery? Today their grand children are the leaders and chiefs and eldersd and followers who make up PDP, ACN, ANPP, DPP, Labour Party and ALL other parties in Nigeria. Fellow angry Nigerians, the problem is not just with National Assembly. Have really asked ourselves why the Governors are vehemently against the Electoral ammendment? 90 percent of Governors come back 4 second time, has anyone asked what happens to our state members after their first terms? What about the Presidency, the CBN Gov, lambasting NASS because they want to checkmate how he spends over 300billion. The fight should not just be against Senators and Members, it should be against bad leardership generally!
Now you know how people felt when their leaders (chiefs and kings) sold their brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers into slavery because of "mirrors, glass beads and ogogoro".
The children of those same chiefs and kings are those who are members of pdp, acn, anpp, dpp, etc. This time they are selling both you, your parents, your brothers and sisters, your farmland and every bit of earth that you think is Nigeria-your country. SLAVES!!! YOU ARE ALL SLAVES. Sold for Blackberry phones, And Toyota JEEPS. SLAVES!!!. Even if you split the country the part where you will find yourself has already been sold. SLAVE, FREE YOUR MIND, It is not about Yoruba, or Igbo or Hausa or Ijaw or Niger Delta. Are the NASS members only Hausas, or only Yorubas, or only Christians, or only Muslims?

The thieves are making you people to squabble amongst yourselves while they sell you for their own enjoyment

Come to think of it, what we are talking about here is an attack on a former democratically elected president of our dear beloved country. Isn't this an attack on us as a nation?
@LA2
And thanks to that democratically SELECTED president, honest hardworking Nigerians from Lagos to Sokoto suffer from lack of electric power everyday. Businesses fold up because of the high cost of running diesel generators. Which attack is greater? The attack on the selfish, self serving, evil minded corrupt man or the attack on the lives of 140 Million Nigerians?

You people should not forget that it was the 'Cultural Elders" who sold the children of their brothers and sisters into slavery. The same Elders and their grand children "Nigerian Politicians" have now devised a new method of selling their neighbours children into slavery.

The problem now is that whereas before the slaves were taken away from their homes and fatherland now the "Nigerian Politicians" and "Corrupt Leaders" are selling both you the people and the very land itself. GEJ's loyalty is to be first to Nigeria but he seems to be more concerned about loyalty to his party, the party that guarantees him success through rigging, It would have made sense if his post is about congratulating the judiciary for a job well-done and for instilling hope in the mind of the Nigerian people, Gosh!
greateros:
I dont envy GEJ's position now. In fact, i feel sorry for him. by now it should be obvious to him that he is loosing the primary.

GEJ is not a professional politician and if he is smart, he would av realised that his luck is not designed to win elections. His luck is designed for him to get to a position by piggy backing on other people's success. with that fact in mind, he would av opted to remain the vice president to whom ever wins the presidency from the north, and after that, the presidency will be handed over to him on a platter.

But i guess his greed got a better of him.

I believe his strategist were banking on the north breaking apart in their quest for a consensus candidate but they forgot that the north (quite unlike other regions that personal intrest precceds regional intrest), has this strong brotherhood built on reliogious upbringing; can waive personal intrest for regional and most especial religious intrest.

Now can anybody tell me how GEJ with only OBJ (who will soon abandon him when the heat is turned on) and some little unimportant personalities defeat Atiku with the full support of all his norther brothers majority of them retired generals and political master strategist! GEJ better switch to PLAN'B' - DESTROY PDP AND SUPPORT BUHARI TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY thats the only way he can get rid of atiku and IBB for good! cause only buhari can muster the liver to probe their past sins and throw them in the galows were they belong!
