Politics › Re: Presidency Reacts To NBS Report, Insists Economy Performing Better. by deflover(m): 6:02pm On Aug 31, 2016
obailala:
I asked a question, a struggling nation suddenly loses over 60% of its income and you think the current recession is primarily a result of Buhari's bad policy? You must hate the man so much to reason in this way.

Now we talking of a recession, the gdp growth rate of the country was steadily swimming between 6-7% until mid-2014 when the oil crash began; one can clearly see the correlation between the growth rate and oil prices from the image below. The rate began to crash steadily from mid-2014 to Q1 2016 when it eventually crossed into the negative realm. I would suppose this crash which began since mid-2014 also had nothing to do with the oil price but has everything to do with cluelessness and bad policy of Buhari?
How much are you being paid to be a fool.

My brother, you people are avoiding commenting on this thread. It is damn obvious. Probably because the sabotage of the Biafran effort was mostly from the SS people...now the current generation doesn't know if to praise the Biafran technological feats or to still spite (great) Biafra who their ancestors betrayed. What do you say to this?
Lies the sabotage was caused by ojukwu himself....he came to Benin to liberate the mid west he claims but for three days he had issues with choice of governor....
The mid west welcomed biafran troops hoping they would be allowed to rule themselves but ojukwu and major banjo argued for a while....major banjo wanted a native to be governor but ojukwu throwing caution to the winds brought a certain okonkwo to be governor and that was why the mid west now known as SS joined forces with Nigerian troops and the amphibian force was formed...
So get your facts right

Please explain how this war chest will hit the naira
.
we have a free floating naira.....the FX market worth is $5trillion daily FX that will be sourced all over...the naira is one of the numerous currencies in this baskets of currencies....if there is demand a any currency it appreciates....if no demand it begins to drop....

and the naira opened with a gap from 197naira to 250naira....all hell is let loose....almost 70basic points and the fools of apc are happy....now the artificial resistance has been taken out....market forces will begin to act....some dudes think when they say market forces it means local importers.....it means the war chest of the baskets of currencies worth $5trillion will begin to hit the naira hard... how long can our mere reserves of $29billion hold the suppose supply and demand dollar heading to 600naira God save my soul

You have not provided any valid argument.

The demand for crude is not going to change.

Very few were getting it at $197 anyways, so it was already devalued.

There is also pent-up supply which will flow in, in the next few months...
demand won't change but price would
factor in the capital flight of airlines and all foreign companies who want to buy dollar so as to get it out
factor in fear and greed
and trust me when they say market forces it doesn't imply local market forces alone but the whole chest of the FX market put at a value of $5trillion compared to our reserves of $29billion. ...how long can the CBN hold this supply.
Business › Re: Naira Quoted At 253/$ As Interbank Market Opens by deflover(m): 12:32pm On Jun 20, 2016
tbaba1234:
It would stabilize around 250-280, maybe even 300. no way it will rise up to 600... That's just dreams.
let me school you a bit in trading....with the interbank rate at 250 it means the market opened at a gap of 70bp....meaning a spread that huge can signal more bull for the dollar.
now it also means the long standing fixed resistance of 197 has been broken

now market forces will take it higher as the price of crude and other commodities force it on its knees
I am only being nice with 600naira trust me it can go worse..

I have read all the talk about this policy....I have had a discussion with a PhD friend of mine who is in support of this government and wants us to pray....lol

I love prayer but the institutional investors don't pray they act
the fundamentals are bad....the news is just an ill attempt to cover our exposed private parts

it wont work

watch us buy dollar at 600naira in a few months

oil is still down
manufacturing is down
power is down
insecurity is high
food is scare
this will only increase demands on the dollar.

trust me naira is tissue paper now with dry shit on it
no one will touch naira with a stick

Imagine Wike and co asking for the quashing of corruption charges against Southerners as if NDA are facing any financial case in court. They are of course in support of a ceasefire in order to continue getting paltry sums they think is big enough for their bank accounts. But sadly this isn't Governor forum ish, it's about the boy in mile 3 market who has not eaten for days now yet his state is so blessed he can live on scholarship for all his life, it's about those pregnant women who keep dying due to poor healthcare faciities in a land that should NEVER know such, it is about the elderly who after their years in service have nothing to show for, it is about man's injustice to man. Politics › Re: “We Want Grazing Reserves In The North Only” - Tambuwal by deflover(m): 1:41pm On Jun 10, 2016
MayorofLagos:
Southerners have zero insight. Im beginning to agree that Northerners, with their lag in academic credentials, are far more educated and wiser than Southerners.

A Northerner came to South and spit nonsense in our face and we cheered him.

The Northerners understand the concept of Social Engineering and they employ tactics to surbordinate us, politically, militarily, se.xu.ally, economically.

They used to cut us on their soil in the North, now they bring tools down South to cut us on our own soil. To make a statement that they own us, they perch on our women and use their body. Then they revisit, over and over and repeat the act.

When we respond with tongue lash they tell us their action is justified, and threaten more attacks.

When the heat grows and it appears we are ready to take an action not in their favor...like kicking Northerners out or killing them in retaliation....they send one of their political bigwigs to bring ointmen and balm to rub and soothe our pains. They employ words and articulation peppered with diplomacy and they tell us things they know we want to hear, lies that do not in any way match their actions and schemes....words like Grazing ground will only be in the North. In response....we CHEER and PRAISE the Northern diplomat for his civility.

He never talked about why his muslim brothers ra.pe women in Southern farms. An act forbidden in Islam. He never talked about why his brothers carry unlicensed weapons....an act forbidden by our constitution. But he reminds us that constitution guarantees his parallel army to go anywhere in Nigeria that they want.

Soon as he returns home, the next batch of gun and r.a.pe assault will be launched...to cut us some more and weaken our will into surbodination.

...but let me give Tambuwal a slack and flow along and pretend that this is a good speech.

In reality what he is saying is that they plan to install grazing routes and ranches in North only.

What they truly have on drawing board and you did not hear him voice out is....they will do the project in stages, first in North, thereafter in South.

They disarm us and while we are relaxed in our opposition they institute grazing and ranches in North.

Very soon they will need to expand. In what direction do we think the expansion will go? Of course to South!

Who can stop their expansion...when we can't stop the guarantee they claim under constitution to be anywhere and practice business free of discrimination on our soil? It will be unconstitutional to deny them grazing rights in South after they are allowed to institute it legally in North. Do you all graduate and post graduate Southerners not see far ahead into Tambuwal's scheme? Stop cheering and start opposing grazing anywhere under jurisdiction of Nigerian Constitution, North or South.

grin grin
brilliant but will the foolish southerners think

don't be fooled....the clause may include the right to site a grazing reserve in the country....if it's not plainly stated
it could be hidden in words to mean it can also aquire lands in places it deem fit

the law of taxation comes to mind...the king lied to the masses that the law of taxation will be used more on the more you earn thereby making the poor think that it was a law against the rich.

but today we all can cc that taxation punishes the poor more.

The Governor of Delta, Patrick Okota, reportedly
obtained a two-week ceasefire from the Niger
Delta Avengers before arriving at the meeting
but did not disclose it because he was
uncomfortable that the Vice President wasn’t
disposed to the idea. SaharaReporters learnt
that through his Deputy, Mr. Okowa had
extensive meetings with the Niger Delta
Avengers, pointing out that it was evident that
he and other South South governors knew who
the militants were as he spoke at the meeting.

so they are trying so hard to lie they don't even know the name of the governor delta state nor who is deputy

and yes guess what Edo state governor opposes it
what party is he from again

yesterday I had a confrontation from an igbo man and the topic was how Niger deltans betrayed the biafran struggle
I was in shock as the lies been told
ojukwu conquered Benin without a single shot fired and the need for a governor/administrator came..major banjo wanted a native from any of the conquered tribe while ojukwu rooted for a proper igbo man....for three days they argued till ojukwu throwing caution to the winds and appointed a certain okonkwo as governor/administrator of the midwest...this made our finest senior officers to revolt and our people began to feel they would be made slaves in their lands and this gave birth to the amphibian force that lead the federal troops through the creeks and that was how asaba and onitcha fell to the federal troops.
today we still has some igbos saying they don't need us
that's why if a break comes I think the Niger delta republic will be a better option for us.

please read the link to clear the air
we Niger deltans were betrayed by igbos and not the other way round..
