It gets scarier... With every passing minute the priority radius increases too because.. not forgetting that the sub could be under water or at the floor, so the same effort is put scanning the ocean floor and the every inch of the depth too with the sonars... It's almost impossible given the frame and available oxygen

Certainly, it's a scary race against time. Their greatest ally right now is hope. That said, the human spirit always finds a way to defy the odds, may it be in their favor.

"it's like searching a football pitch with a magnifying glass" mehn! The chances of rescuing them alive is zero if that analysis is correct... Isn't there a way to calculate the circumference or priority area since they know where the dive took place, calculate the speed of the wave/hr plus lost hours to know the estimated area

to add to this: Picture the ocean as an enormous football pitch that stretches far beyond our line of sight, seemingly endless. Now, think of the ship as an almost insignificant grain of sand in this vast space.

The search radius i.e. the area that can be effectively explored at any given time, is akin to a magnifying glass. The magnifying glass, despite its utility, covers just a minuscule area on this massive football pitch - barely a blade of grass.

The task at hand is to scan this vast pitch, inch by painstaking inch, using the limited magnifying glass, hoping to find our elusive grain of sand. But the complexity doesn't end there. This isn't a two-dimensional search; it's three-dimensional. Just as our football pitch has depth, so too does the ocean, layer upon layer that we must also search.

The ocean's dynamism adds to the challenge. Currents shift, weather changes, visibility in water varies, and the grain of sand - the drowned ship - might not even stay in one place.

In short, searching for the drowned vessel is an incredibly daunting task. It's like trying to find a minuscule grain of sand on a huge, shifting football pitch with a tiny magnifying glass, digging layer after layer.

When you say the USA is miles apart from Canada what do you mean? Asides economy which USA is obviously heads and shoulders above any country on earth, there's little to no difference between the US and Canada. Infrastructure, education etc.. I see the level of development and I don't see much difference.. If you are blindfolded and dropped suddenly in a street in Canada and your blindfold taken off, with someone telling you where you are is USA, I don't think you would doubt or argue. Same too if you are taken to Canada and you are told it is USA, you won't argue. This is cos both countries are similar so I don't know what you mean by miles apart.. Maybe in terms of military might and economy which wasn't what I was talking about in my previous comment

If you were blindfolded and dropped here in the winter especially yesterday, body go tell you say na Canada you dey.

RIP to the dead

I think I will always choose road whenever possible over other means of transport. My experience with turbulence in two of my recent flights were not funny at all. I was even more scared on one of the flights when I remembered that our pilot was female. Apologies to all ladies. In a nutshell, whenever possible, please use land (train preferably) especially if you reside outside of Nigeria and doing interstate or inter-province.

I want to understand why he shot her. Was it an accidental discharge? I don't want to believe that a normal human being would just shoot a fellow breathing human for no reason. What is this world turning into?
