I was about submitting my application with Tulane University for Fall 2021. Its showing that I should pay the $50 application fee but they sent me an email that my application has been successfully submitted. I don't understand because it's still showing awaiting payment on my application portal.

1) We applied for a study permit and an open work permit on February 19, 2020, passed upfront medicals on March 10. Eligibility review and background checks commenced the same day.

I received my GCMS notes on Friday, September 15. Therein, I saw a note written on 11th March. The officer stated, "Female married to study for Masters at UBC. Her personal funds and income are low. Spouse to accompany her on an open WP."

2) The uni offered to pay my tuition for 2 years and also give me a stipend a little over $24,000/year for 2 years.

3) I attached 2 bank statements to my Study Permit application. One for me with 1.5 million naira and another for my husband with 2.5 million. I didn't attach any to my hubby's application for an open work permit. But we stated the total amount- 4million naira plus the total scholarship amount- in both our letters of explanation or SoPs.

4) I am a university lecturer (the reason for the low income haha) and my spouse is a clergyman.

5) When I filled the part on Tuition, Room, and Board, I just added my own funds to the tuition and stipend to give total funds available as $38,706. I didn't add my husband's funds to it since it asked about funds available for study.

6) Under the most recent note, there was an update on 22nd July, but the part for text was left blank.

7) Against eligibility, I saw "Recommend interview".

Please, advise me on what to do to salvage the situation since our application is still in progress. Thank you!

Thanks, I actually saw on Ualberta website that international undergraduate students have to pay CAD 1000 as tuition deposit but didn't see anything as regards graduate international students.

From personal experience, Concordia requires CAD$250 deposit

Just like @lekiboboe mentioned, you can get it done at any business center but if its not available in your area, black&white copy is also accepted cos that was what I used on Monday.

You best bet is to apply for a PGD or PG. Cert in a telecommunication related field (based on your 12 years working experience)

It will be better if your Husband and Son Stay back first, cos apart from Landed Properties & Parents,
your Husband and Son are good HOME TIES (Something' that can compel you to come back to Nigeria, cos you must compulsorily show that after your studies you would come back to Nigeria), probably if you get there and you are settled, u can make a move for ur Husband & Son to come

But it also depends if your son is still in a stage he needs the mother care (1 month old to like 1 year old I guess)

And it can't be gotten for him, ur brother needs to be there in person, cos all the FINGERPRINTS on his TEN Fingers is needed for the P.C.C.

Go to the police headquarters in your state and tell them you want police character certificate, they will take your fingerprints and you will pay. They know how to send it across to FCID Alagbon in Lagos. It might just take a sometime depending on how quickly they can get it across to Lagos.

Yeah, because the professors that ask me to put their names in my application did not mention WES evaluation also the Graduate program chair that I contacted too. I think WES evaluation is compulsory for all Engineering courses and Education

I got admission in Regina and Wes is compulsory for the department that needs it. In fact my application was shifted to the next term because WES makes me go beyond deadline.
However, I think is not all course that requires Wes. I was ask to confirm if my department need Wes. But if you can do it, I will fasten your process

Bro I don't think WES evaluation is compulsory for all courses at Uregina. There are specific courses where that is needed.

How about post graduate degree in the North Atlantic Province

Why College of North Atlantic? Is it because its tuition is relatively cheaper in comparison with most colleges in Canada and/or the ability to secure a Permanent Resident of Canada is way more easier in the Atlantic province of Newfoundland? Please be sure you're applying for the accurate level of education as majority of the programs offered in this school are predominantly in the Post Secondary Diploma level. It's not all about getting admission into a DLI in Canada, albeit its convincing the visa officer that you're indeed a bonafide student to study an ordinary diploma in Canada, given that there are similar available courses which are obtainable in Nigeria at a low cost.

I hope you check properly so you don't end up investing so much on a project that will not heed positive outcome. I have saved several applicants from the misinformation in course selections, and I trust you will not be an exception too.

There is no cut-off financial figure that is expected to be in a sponsored applicant account. Any amount would do. However, if you have vast working experiences over the years, a reasonable sum is supposed to be in your account let say 1M and above.

I am starting to feel that it is because we use a third party website to get it and that's why a lot of useful information is scrubbed. I don't buy that "they are overwhelmed with lots of applications" crappy story.

However on the 5th of July the embassy requested for a bank ticket and password saying the bank statement I submitted is fraudulent, closing account 6 million Naira. I was a bit scared, but man remained strong.

My take on this, just submit the required documents and make sure no fraudulent documents, if you'll be given the visa, you will be given.

You can send your SOA directly to the embassy too using your bank app
