Politics2015 Elections: Nigerian Masses About To Make A Strong Statement To Politicians! by dein77(op):
I have always deplored political impunity and our politicians' utter disrespect for the Nigerian masses. To them, we're not more than a means to their ends; a tool to their power and stupendous wealth; a vehicle to their utmost ease, enjoyment and comfort. They have always treated us with the deepest disdain and disregard; they consider us a burden to their path of thievery, looting, power, influence and political masturbation. They have never hidden their disgust for us. As far as they are concerned, we do not have much say over the governance of this nation-our beloved Nigeria. While Nigeria is a nation and a home to us, its a farm and money machine to these tiny group of people.

I think all that's about to change. I cant wait for this transformation. Its a step in the positive direction for Nigeria as a whole. I pray we have peaceful elections. NO to violence. No to wanton destruction of life and properties. Nigeria is about to leap into its path of growth, development and overall improvement in the standard of living.

How?

AN APC/GMB VICTORY

There's no denying the fact that the game has really changed this time. It will amount to a delusion of grandeur to have the PDP dismiss this time the APC like it has done in the past. Its NO smooth ride for the PDP anymore. Whoever says or sees otherwise is being deceived. There's a possibility of GMB being declared the winner of the forthcoming general elections.

What His Victory Portends

This is the main purpose of this very brief article. A strong message will be sent to our politicians, that its no longer going to be business as usual. And that increases the power we wield as masses. Never shall the masses be relegated to the background like it has always being the case. Never again. Imagine our politicians vying into an office with that kind of mindset! The masses win. Nigeria wins.

A PDP/GEJ VICTORY

He will have no option than do better. The masses win. Nigeria wins. The era when an incumbent or a ruling party does not deliver to the best of its ability will be gone. PDP shall than be a better and greater party. The masses will be winner. The PDP wont repeat some of the critical mistakes it has done in the past. Some sections believe it will get worse if GEJ wins, but nothing could be further from the truth; he can ONLY get better. He's got a better understanding of the expectations of the average Nigerian.

AT THE END

At the end, the masses shall now believe in themselves; appreciate the massive power they wield; have a greater say on how they shall be governed. Nigeria shall be great. Again.
The era of political indifference and apathy will be gone, and never again shall the masses be at the mercy of not only corrupt, but also wicked, demonic and devilish men and women. Power belongs to the people, and it's time the people act it out!
I think, notwithstanding whoever wins amongst the two candidates, the masses, and Nigeria by extension, is the biggest winner.

God bless GMB
God bless GEJ, Mr President
God bless Nairaland.
God bless Nigeria!

My greatest loyalty remains with Nigeria. That I support Mr President doesn't make me agree with his pattern all the times.

The cost of governance is a huge burden! We won't progress if we keep wasting too much funds on paying salaries and emoluments.

The overfed and lazy lawmakers are not left out!

For the sake of your health, never take any words seriously that are spewed from the lips of Lai Mohammed.

This is another addition to the strata of lies and false propaganda aimed at destroying the peace in the land.

Since this administration, who can point to one case of politically motivated murder? These folks are taking this game to far; but their vinegar shall first consume them before it does any hurts to their targets!

Thanks, OP! The corrupt human nature hardly utilises any invention to the benefit of the general public; it's more inclined to deploy it as a tool for deceit and lies.

Since this is the only means Nigerians have to fight against an oppressive and iresponsible regime, why can't they just bear it?
Bro, the media shouldn't be deployed to deceive, misinform, misrepresent, armtwist and hoodwink the masses. That in itself is a from of corruption. Our consciences must be nurtured with truth and honesty.

It's even more appalling when such lies are targeted at the Military! It's not patriotism!

Kaduna Abuja highway is the smoothest long distance highway in Nigeria running 165km.. Well maintained. The commonest means of commercial commuting is by VW Passat and Sharan because they are speed vehicles and carry reasonable number of passengers. Most sharan on that road do over 150km per hour.

Get your facts right.
Thanks for enlightening him. I had to quit after a few comments couldn't persuade him to see beyond his hate for GEJ.

I believe over speeding is the LEADING cause of road crashes in Nigeria!

ONE THING PEOPLE FORGET IS THAT HAVING A STRONG OPPOSITION LIKE APC HAS AWAKENED THE GOVERNMENT TO ITS RESPONSIBILITIES. What The Government Had food so far Is As A Result Of The pressures from the opposition. Did You Think What The Government Has Done So Far was in their manifest ? think again. But The Only Thing Is That The Government Under Estimated the opposition. And That Has Become Their own doing. So Let's Be At Least Happy That We Now Have an opposition that has awakened the government to its responsibilities.
That one cannot be denied.

PoliticsRe: I’v Changed My Views About Jonathan – Fani-kayode by dein77(m): 6:56pm On Mar 15, 2015
The hypocrisy of the APC and it's supporters deeply depresses me. To them, it's patriotism when, FFK just said, the likes of El-rufai and Tinubu now dance around a GMB they both sometime in the past described as old and unelectable, but it's betrayal when FFK and others now support GEJ! !!!

APC are even in a more dire need of change!

aburo, my position doesn't in any way justify the deplorable state of most of our roads, but simply called for the FRSC to do more, since over speeding remains a chief cause of road crashes.

It seems most of you guys just come online to disrespect and insult people.

,

I know many Nigerians are poor in Maths.

A country that depends 70% on oil revenue. A country with over 70% of budget as recurrent expenditure has little left for capital ones, even if corruption wasn't endemic, we still won't be a developed country in the next 20 years.

Good that you acknowledge our huge population. A nation of over 170 million with less than 5 trillion Naira budget is not a lot.
Huge population means a huge burden on infrastructure in every sector.

While you're romancing with utopia that is unachievable given our expensive bicameral parliament and executive, I'm talking reality having listened to politicians promising heaven & earth since 1979 campaign. And witnessed rigging then too. And all delivered way below GEJ has done.
Mind you, I like others, was dancing when Buhari took over. I met Buhari briefly as HoS in a university campus visit and I liked everything he said. But later his actions were different to what he had said earlier.

We need to restructure the polity, devolve more power to states and push capital expenditure up to at least have of budget.

Until then those promising N5,000 to 25 million Nigerians (equal to Edo State budget) and all kind of fantasy stuff only want power, they can't do nothing as oil prices will remain low for a long time.
Thank you! What we really need is a change of the system, not just the occupant of the office in the system. The current system isn't sustainable; it's a breeding ground for laziness, waste and poverty.

When the roads are bad there is no amount of "sensitization" that will prevent road accidents. Potholes on Federal High as if its a rural link road.

Bro, I don't drag politics into everything issue. More than 90% of accidents, according to accident theory and investigations, are due to human errors, not poor work( road) conditions.

What a loss! We are losing too many souls to road crashes. The FRSC needs to do more sensitization programmes.

May their souls rest in peace!
