papiforreal: thank you boss. following your instruction of running the battery down before plugin the charge again, i no longer have the problem pf plugged in not charging. the only issue is now the system hilbernates without warning at 30-40% battery level. and this problrm of hilbrntn started after updating my bios, could updating my bios be the caused? anyway, i havent perform the battery test because of school. but will get back to you whwn i do it tomorrow when you're in windows I was surprised to find out you had updated the bios, I wouldn't have because bios update is always the last resort. How did you knew the bios need updating ? Okay user Google to disable hibernate. I think it is powercfg- off just Google it. |

bedfordng: sure its not the only solution but for those who have important files in their external drive, they won't want to risk inserting it to the infected system.some virus can hide even if scanned with antivirus. For this reason, one has to properly scan the pc over and over again to avoid spreading of the virus to their external drive.like me in particular, ones i notice an unusual virus, i will format asap because i value what is inside my external drive than inside the pc since i have back up bigt2: did he ask if the man has a back up? Did he attempt to tackle the problem? Capital NO! This said, i still hold and stress the fact that formatting should be the last resort. I'm not measuring shoulders with any one. I usually scan my PC with a powerful anti virus, ccleaner to name a few. I would not reformat my laptop for that reason unless it is a boot sector virus that cannot be removed or a corrupt registry H key local machine to name a few. There is no wrong or right answer, it is entirely up to each individuals. However, If a business customer complained of a virus we act quickly to prevent it from spreading to the delicate host server. In addition, I would in practice clean the infected laptop because customers like long term fix and not short term. |

But this school wants to deploy wireless network to various faculties so that other faculties and hostels about 1km away can also have Internet service, and students can browse the internet using their PCs at the comfort of their hostels and classrooms about 1km away from the IT building. How do I go about it? Where are the network gurus in the building? This question is for you I would advise you seek expert advice, reason being is so that it is done properly. papiforreal: thank you sirs for your help. i have downloaded and updated the bios driver as you guys suggested but the problem still persists, plus now the system hibernates at will even when the charge level is 25, 30 or even 40 percent. and when it hilbernates, it wont power on unless i put it on charge. the system is really given headache, i bought it as used from eBay not more than one month ago . what are you guys suggesting, should i just go and get a new battery and everything will be alryt. the system is pavilion dv6 1355dx. cc denies1941 @deji2009 The other time You could let the battery run down so it prompt you to connect the charger then charge to 100. From now on Let the laptop ask you to connect the charger or when you get battery low message before you connect the charger. Please refer to http://batterycare.net/en/guide.htmlIf no joy, go to bios by pressing f10 on startup then you'd see bios scrool down to power management and check the status of the battery. this is possible on a dell laptop. if it is hp googl hp battery test and test the battery 27/02/15 I don't think we asked you to download a bios update, did we ? Please refer to the above Try f10 instead of f2 and follow previous steps to download hp battery test or search for it from your start menu when you're in windows |

After booting it and when about to start using it, it suddenly shows this blue screen with some sort of codes on it and goes of abruptly. Its becoming so regular. Tolzeal: That's BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death ) Bro. Deji has said so much about this. Please tell what windows are you getting this, If it's Windows 8, My candid opinion is upgrade to windows 8.1 from store(That's Only if you Windows is Genuine). You could restore it back to the way it was prior to blue screen and provide answers to tolzeal questions. |

papiforreal: deji2009 and Co. Your help is needed please danies1941: If the charge is up to 10%-then go to the website of the manufacturer like Dell.com or HP.com -type in the model number of the laptop like HP Pavilion dv4-then download the BIOS driver. To download and update BIOS-your battery must be at least 10% and must be on charger. That is one possible solution. Other issue could be that the battery has been "misused". Many laptop users misuse their batteries. Like charging it to 100% and leaving it unused for several weeks or constantly allowing it to go to zero and go off amongst other things. If battery is defective-you have to buy another one or if you know how-open up the battery and change the cells. You could let the battery run down so it prompt you to connect the charger then charge to 100. From now on Let the laptop ask you to connect the charger or when you get battery low message before you connect the charger. Please refer to http://batterycare.net/en/guide.htmlIf no joy, go to bios by pressing f2 on startup then you'd see bios scrool down to power management and check the status of the battery. this is possible on a dell laptop. if it is hp googl hp battery test and test the battery |

Tolzeal: Oh .. Thanks bro and I Feel the piece from head till buttom. This might actually be considered A Fair step to make. But seriously Taking this getting windows Piracy outta Market is A like Forbidden People From taking Cassava Flakes. So much Nigerians are Into this. I believe so much 70% on Nigerian OS are pirated.
But My Questions are: ,...
*Who many do you think Would Be able to purchase the original OOSM from ManuFacturer
**Someone Clamouring for soo much help? A student Maybe would I ask this same fellow to purchase the real product at that exorbant price ??
***Letting people know about The Sequences it might engage them into and given a go ahead , is that still a problem.
if you can convince me well .... I might desist so much from helping with preactivated OS links...
Thanks so much , I appreciate ur post and gladly looking forward to a reply.... *Who many do you think Would Be able to purchase the original OOSM from ManuFacturer Anyone can afford OEM windows software, try and show empathy instead of sympathy. Let them decide if they'd Like to buy the CD/ DVD. Student have the money to buy genuine windows because knowledge/internet is power, Buying a new windows is like investment that would last for sometime. Parent knew that computer is essential to Their success so they'd give them money for it. Let's look at the positive instead negative, just do your part give the Advice such as the slmgr-rearm to extend the duration before activation or refer them to their local computer shop. ***Letting people know about The Sequences it might engage them into and given a go ahead , is that still a problem. Yes Let them decide, tolzeal, just say want you have to say and leave it there a. Try and show empathy rather sympathyLet whosoever to buy it, playing your part would help us as a nation. |

Tolzeal: please drop Pc model and spec... Dear Tolzeal, I would like to applaud your technical knowledge in fixing people's computers. However, could I just ask if it is possible to stop giving advice on windows crack. Let me give you an example, we use a model in our place of work that state that give advise that would help users and avoid putting ourselves and others at risk. The links may contain viruses and hidden codes that spy on people's computer. The windows crack link you are providing is illegal and if you're cult. it is a punishable offence because china and nigerians are working hard to change the perception people have about piracy. If you stop giving this links you're helping us as a nation, think about it brother. You might as well do something that is widely accepted. This is just my opinion Tozeal, it is entirely up to you. |
