Use google to research how to get to device manager and look for network adapter, click the +sign and tell me what's underneath. Have you ever connect wireless ? if yes, please use google to research system restore and select a date when the internet works and restore it. This laptop came with Windows Vista® Business, isn't it ? Would you open my computer through the start menu and click system properties, is version of windows activated ? This is usually not a problem when the notebook is connected to an AC power adapter. However, when operating on battery power, the adapter can be turned off to save power. To disable this power setting, do the following steps. Click Start , enter device into the search field, and then select Device Manager from the list. Double-click Network Adapters to expand the list, right-click on the wireless (WiFi) adapter in the list, and then select Properties. On the properties window for the adapter, select the Power Management tab, and then de-select the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option. Close the Device Manager, restart the notebook PC, and attempt to reconnect to the wireless network" |
muhabab:According to super user (2009) "Try to go to the Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management. In the Disk Management part, remove the drive letter for the raw partition. It should prevent Win7 from asking you to format the partition, while letting you mount the partition in TrueCrypt. If it doesn't work, you could try this suggestion, which is to use Autokey to automatically dismiss the messagebox when it appears" On the other hand partition tool (2004) argued that you would be able to "Recover and get data back when encounter "Disk/drive is not formatted..." error" http://www.partition-tool.com/resource/disk-not-formatted.htm |
iseoluwa89: iseoluwa89: zyzxx:Please read carefully and avoid short writing such as ba3, I wouldn't reply. This is one of my principles. for example, If I can type all these, you should be able to since you're the one asking for help. That's just me, sorry ! deplsucell: Tolzeal:Dear deplsucell, Tolzeal advice you to knock out Norton, I'm not so sure if Norton is the current anti virus or not. Here are my recommendations -Use google to research add or remove programs in control panel. Look on the list of programs and let us know the type of antivirus you have. I think your laptop came with a trial version that's now asking you for another one. Open the current anti virus and let us know the status, i,e. risk or X/red sign. If you have norton installed, you'd need a norton removal tool. You'd need to scan your computer for virus. Alternative you could use malwarebytes |
Mikkyphaton:Should be white or orange. Does it work by mouse ? What colour is the light ? How do you activate the touchpad, i.e by fn and f8 keys? There should be a small button at the top of the touchpad. Is there ? |

Google system restore and follow the instructions. Select a date before the problem started and restore it to an earlier time. If you are still receiving the same error message, restart the computer and keep pressing f8 until you see advance option then select disable automatic restart on system failure. It would restart so write down the error message and give it to us. |
GLACIERZ:Lenovo make sure is an Intel laptop, i.e vide graphics and cpu. Memory 4 or 6. Make sure is windows 7. Make sure the laptop is use on a flat surface. And a word of advice, buy from genuine business owners and Mk sure there is aftersales support, i.e hardware breakdown. Make it clear that you'd like to buy but you need assurance of 3-6 months if second hand. If new 1yr at least. I'd strongly advice you to take note of these. |

naijaobi:Its against my principles to insult a Nigerian. |
Deepfreezer:Nigeria 3.5/10 Congo 6.5/10 That's my rating, please no insult. We need to learn how to work together. We have won, good ! |
walex2bad:Visit Toshiba website and search for sound drivers for your operating system type, i.e windows 7. If windows 7 driver is not available, then you cannot use windows 7. You'd need to go back to windows XP. If the manufacture don't have windows 7 drivers, don't waste your precious time trying to force it. The manufactures knows best. |
Ajiswaggs:Download recuva and follow the instructions. |
