It's true, but that of the image is ridiculous, the last time I used it, I was wondering why images were not displaying, I didn't know they have decided to take it down too.

But it's not the same for BBC or other supported sites apart from Facebook. It seems they have noticed that a lot of people are using it to gain free access to login and comment on Nairaland, which is bad for their business. Hence they denied login access first.

Now images are no-longer accessible very soon maybe they will remove Nairaland completely but I think they have done their worse and that should reduce routed traffic from freebasics to Nairaland and force people to subscribe for normal data plans to get full access.

*modified*
@ juicydiceyjoe, There is no need to call their attention to it they are aware of it, and did it intentionally, to force or maybe i should say encourage customers to purchase data, since they have discovered alot of traffic is being routed from freebasics to Nairaland as i have explained earlier.

DeSepiero:
Stop spewing trash here. I quoted a standalone statement of yours without adding or removing. If you're not comfortable with it then withdraw your statement.

The fear of death is natural that's agreed, but it intensifies when you're conscious of the fact that you could be heading to hell.

The HIV analogy even exposes you. Have you had unprotected sex before? Someone abstaining all the while and then decides to have unprotected sex will likely contract the HIV and therefore would be scared that he may have contracted the deadly disease.

Don't quote me again and talk childish nonsense angry
Get your thinking straight!!
you are the one that is reasoning like a child here, for your information i have never had sex before in my life talkless of having unprotected sex because I'm not yet married. God created sex for married couples only. Sex before marriage or outside the confines of marriage and other sexual immorality is a terrible sin in the sight of God. The bible laid emphasis on it in the book of 1st corinthians 6 vs18

flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body

I knew the HIV analogy will not go down well with you and other unbelievers living a reckless life and that is why you flared up, and desperately want to turn the analogy on my head.

For you to have made that comment regarding me means that your guilty conscience has been prickled.
It's just the same way you and other unbelievers will flare up each time we raise the issue of Hell.

People that are not promiscuous or doing other things that can make them prone to being infected with HIV will not be bothered or flare up with that analogy, same way the talk of hell will not make a born again Christian flare up or be afraid because we are not doing the things that will lead us there.
Christianity EtcRe: I Am Losing My Fear Of Death As An Unbeliever In Christianity. by Dejideji1(m): 7:23pm On Sep 16, 2016
DeSepiero:
Save yourself all those stories. Why are you worried about what I cropped off. I still quoted your statement; didnt I?.
Fear of death and hell are 5 & 6. You can't go to your hell until you die.
So according to your belief, if a real born again Christian just sin for once, and die in the act right before he have a chance to repent and plead for forgiveness. Where does he go to heaven or hell?
Because You quoted a context which is an incomplete information. And that was why you made a wrong assertion.

I still maintain that the fear of death and hell are completely different and not 5&6 or how do you explain an animal running away from death, are animals or other living things apart from humans aware of hell or heaven? Or how do you explain that of a little child?

Bro the fear of death is inherent/instinctive while that of hell is learned.

For your second question, i can also liken it to someone that has been abstaining and suddenly or mistakenly had unprotected sex with a high risk individual just once, does that mean he/she will not contract HIV or other STDs?
Because he has been faithful/abstaining for a long time and mistakenly did it won't spare him/her from facing the dire consequences.
Christianity EtcRe: I Am Losing My Fear Of Death As An Unbeliever In Christianity. by Dejideji1(m): 6:47pm On Sep 16, 2016
DeSepiero:
Christianity threatens its believers with eternal torture in a lake of fire upon death if they default.

How on earth does that NOT plant fear in the poor believers?
You are not serious, and why did you crop out the part containing the explanation i gave the op?
This is fraudulent of you, and completely out of phase.
The fear of death and hell are two different things entirely. Don't mix it up, the former is natural and instinctive. And has nothing to do with Christianity and Religion as a whole.

For the issue of hell, it's only sinners/ defaulters that see it as a threat since their guilty conscience is disturbing them.
It's not a threat to born again Christians and those doing the right thing.

it's more like an advice from a father/someone that cares about you. For example it's like telling you not to be promiscuous so that you don't contract HIV or telling you not to smoke/take alcohol so that you don't come down with lung cancer and kidney problems respectively.
How do you see those statements? Does it look like a threat to you or like an advice from someone that cares?

See you have to realize the fact that there is a consequence for every action that we take and there is a price to pay for anything you want to get.

You want to make heaven and you are not ready to pay the price, how is that possible? Remember nothing good comes easy.

Truthman83:
I have noticed that compared to 6 months ago,my fear of death and hell fire is diminishing. This didn't come so easy after losing my faith. At first I was a bit scared but now that I don't think I have a blissful eternity waiting for me. I am somehow more comfortable with death than I usually was.

For the first time I traveled from Abuja to Lagos without praying for safe journey to and fro. I was completely at rest for the first time in my life. Usually I panic and spit out "blood of Jesus" at every given chance. I normally have sleepless night journeys but now it is completely different. Life can be beautiful for those who let it.

Christianity seems to planted in us the fear of death of death. It is seen as a divine punishment, rather than help us accept it as a very natural and neutral part of being alive.

I thought my fears would increase as a non-christian but instead I am enjoying a fantastic peace of mind.

Christianity is supposedly all about removing the fear of death for a promise of eternal bliss, but then it also says heaven is just a hope not a guaranty. One bible verse gives you hope and another one completely nolifies it. The Bible also failed to give the minimum requirement for a believer to make heaven. It seem to be a never ending cycle of fear

I want to thank the Atheist on this forum for relentlessly standing against the wave of religion, otherwise I probably will still be out there nursing my ex state of mind. Thank you![/s]
Propaganda

The fear of death is a natural phenomenon and it applies to all living things. Whether you are religious or not does not matter. When you come face to face with death, the fear will come from within. its a natural response (probably due to the pain and discomfort associated with the transition and the body is wired/conditioned to always avoid anything that will cause pain or injury,)

So correct yourself, Christianity does NOT plant the fear of death in us.
Therefore your claim of losing fear in death because you embraced Atheism is a blatant lie.

Christianity offers hope of an afterlife no matter how vague it may seem to you, but as an atheist, you are hopeless and you are not even 100% sure that nothing lies ahead. you base your conclusion on a 2nd person observation of the cessation of life.

What if after death you find out that heaven and hell are real, how will you sort yourself out?
PoliticsBokoharam Now Killing One Another by Dejideji1(op):
The supremacy battle between Abubakar Shekau, ex-leader of Boko Haram, and Abu Musab al-Barnawi, the anointed of Islamic State (IS) andson of late founder Mohammed Yusuf, has led to a series of intra-sect killings.

According to Daily Trust, 10 people — described by locals as “associate Boko Haram members” — were recently killed in Tumur, a community along the Nigeria-Niger border, by insurgents for allegedly shifting their loyalty from Shekau to al-Barnawi.The insurgents, the paper reported, crossed to the community from villages around Malam Fatori in Abadam local government area of Borno state to slit the throat of the 10 victims, who were accused of shifting their loyalty from Shekau to al-Barnawi.“When the terrorists besieged Tumur, they told the locals, who were mostly Nigerians taking refuge there, not to panic but warned that so and so persons must be produced to face the wrath of their betrayal,” Ahmed Khalid, a resident of Abadam who is now taking refuge in Maiduguri, said of the first reported intra-group rivalrykilling.

“From my findings, the 10 were supplying foodstuff to the insurgents who lived in cluster of camps along the Nigerian border with Niger. But they suddenly stopped the supplies, leaving the terrorists in hunger and deprivation in the midst of constant offensive by the Nigerian security forces. This was why they were trailed and killed.”But a resident, Aisami Modu, said they were killed because they shifted their loyalty from the camp of Shekau to that of his archrival, al-Barnawi.“The problem started shortly after theBoko Haram split, and those 10 people, who were traders and known to almost everyone in surrounding communities, were loyal to Boko Haram, which is why we called them ‘associate members,'” he said.“They used to supply food, fuel, medicine and cloths to the terrorists, even though they didn’t fight for them. But the Shekau camp got angry when they shifted their loyalty to the other camp; that was why theywere killed.”In August, IS said its terror affiliate in Nigeria, Boko Haram, had appointed al-Barnawi as its new leader.

Two days later, an apparently displeased Shekau said he was deposed because he opposed one of IS’s principles. But he said he was still around, and there was no going back in the Jihad.“The content of my message goes thus. We have heard news going round and attributed to people we had earlier pledge allegiance to. Even though we are not against them based on the message we heard in the world radio, we are still on our ideology,” he said in an audio message.“In the first place, we sat and I was deceived, they said I should write my ideology to be taken if there is a mistake they will point out and bring back. They now deceived me, and it is based on some authorities and today I found out that there is one who is following principles of the infidels, which they want me to follow.

“We know those we differ with, and I have written on this long ago. All we wrote have been documented with me, some eight pages and some ninepages stating their kind of ideology, because I stated it clear that I am against the principle where someone will dwell in the society with the infidels without making public his opposition or anger against infidels publicly as it is stated in the Quran.“Anyone doing such can’t be a real Muslim thick and thin. This is what our ideology proved. And that is where I am, to them a Muslim can dwell in the society and do his marketing compromising core foundations.

I want the world to know that we are still holding our ideology and tied with the Quran, we will not derail and will not revolt but will continue to remain in the cause of Allah.“This is our stand, and we are still in the cause of Jama’atu Ahl as-Sunnahli-Da’awati wal-Jihad and Allah will help us…. We are still members of Jama’atu Ahl as-Sunnah li-Da’awati wal-Jihad, no matter what they call us, we remain what we are.”Since Shekau’s message, loyalists of the two factions have attacked one another, with Kolo Kuroskawwa, a vigilante, saying five fighters loyal to Shekau were killed last week in a battle on the outskirts of Monguno.

Although the Nigerian military has dismissed the reported division as a “drama” being staged by the group toremain afloat, and has vowed to crush the insurgents under any guise, other sources said at least 18 Boko Haram fighters from the bushes around Monguno surrendered to the army, together with their families, because of the infighting.“There is serious disarray now, and most of the Boko Haram fighters are apparently confused,” Kuroskawwa said.“Those loyal to Shekau are being trailed by the other faction and vice versa. It is now killing, killing and killing.“And you know that there are some Boko Haram fighters that were forcefully conscripted; they are the ones that are now repenting and taking advantage of the dispute to surrender themselves to the Nigerian army.”

Analysts expect the rivalry to break the spine of Boko Haram, which was ranked in 2015 by the Global Terrorism Index as the deadliest terrorist organisation on earth, after accounting for 6,644 deaths in 2014, compared with IS’s 6,073.

The tallest man in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence is Robert Pershing Wadlow
He was born at exactly 6:30 a.m. at Alton, Illinois, in the United States of America on 22 February 1918. As at the last time he was measured on 27 June 1940, his height was found to be 2.72 M (8 ft 11.1 in) tall.

Wadlow died at 1:30 a.m. on 15 July 1940 (at the age of 22) in a hotel in Manistee, Michigan, as a result of a septic blister on his right ankle caused by a brace, which had been poorly fitted only a week earlier.

He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Alton in a coffin measuring 3.28 m (10 ft 9 in) long, 81 cm (32 in) wide and 76 cm (30 in) deep.

His greatest recorded weight was 222.71 kg (35 st 1l b) on his 21st birthday and he weighed 199 kg (31 st 5 lb) at the time of his death.

His shoe size was 37AA (47 cm (18.5 in) long) and his hands measured 32.4 cm (12.75 in) from the wrist to the tip of the middle finger.

He wore a size 25 ring.
His arm span was 2.88 m (9ft 5.75 in) and his peak daily food consumption was 8000 calories.

At the age of nine, he was able to carry his father Harold F. Wadlow (September 1967) later Mayor of Alton, who stood 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) and weighed 77 kg (170 lb), up the stairs of the family home.

Watch his video here:-

The tallest man alive today(2016) is Sultan Kösen from Turkey, born on the 10th of December 1982 he is a farmer and he measures 251cm or 2.51M (8 ft 3 in) tall.

His growth resulted from a tumour affecting his pituitary gland. His stature is such that he must use crutches in order to walk.

Tallest Woman

The tallest woman ever verified in medical history is Zeng Jinlian (June 25, 1964 – February 13, 1982) from China. She measured 8 ft 1.75 in (248.29 cm)

Zeng is also the only woman counted among the 17 people who have reached verified heights of eight feet or more.

she could not stand straight because of a severely deformed spine and died at the age of 17 in Hunan, China.

The tallest woman alive today is Sun Fang
also from China. she is 7ft 3 inches tall (233cm)
She became the tallest woman in China and probably the tallest living woman in the world, after the death of the former record holder for tallest living woman Yao Defen(7ft 8inches) on 13 November 2012.

She is often mistaken for Yao Defen because of their likeness in appearance.

Lol, you are very funny, you mean you can't interprete that data?

I saw the table showing the correlation on the first page. The statistics show that people with high IQ tend to be non-religious/don't believe in God. Not that religion reduces IQ /make people dumb, get the difference.
