It is more the case that women of nowadays are in constant need of positive emotions. It is what makes them feel happy and wanted in 2017. The days of patriarchal domination where men dished out orders and ultimatums and watched the wives cower in submission is gradually being eroded by feminism and cultural renaissance.

More so, as parents continue to reinforce in their their children that they are special and deserve special treatments, society also validates them by placing them on a pedestal especially for their good looks and not necessarily hard work or achievements, which is responsible for the huge sense of entitlement we see among the young generation. They even get confused when you don't treat them nicely because they have been made to believe they deserve it as the barest minimum not something that should be earned through hard work or good conduct.

So you cannot now go against the norm and expect an unconditioned response. You cannot scream at your woman in anger and expect her to recoil at a corner in silence. That was in the past. It's all gone now. You have to manage and not try to boss her around. If she is young and hot enough, you must know there is someone out there waiting on the wings to take your rightful place as her husband should you decide to walk and there is no guarantee the next one will be after your heart.

I really don't understand why any woman would want to leave her husband whom she knows loves her. I don't understand.

That your family "dislikes" you both and ignores should even be a plus, especially given how some women love to dissociate themselves from in-laws.

Do you know how risky it is to live with a person whose family hates you? If something happens to their son, do you know the way they will treat her? Don't you know that family support is important in a marriage? Besides, a man can ignore his wife's family if they don't like him but a woman leaves her family for the most part and is expected to be adopted by her man's family. If they turn their backs at her, how do you think she would fare? Maybe she is handling the way you don't like, but saying she should ignore them? It ain't easy. Not every wife wants to push her hubands people away so don't use one yardstick for all wives.

Op, did you call her when she did not return? My opinion is that you two don't communicate hence you expect A she is doing B, she expects to B, you doing A. Lack of friendship and communication destroys any union not only marriage. So, please both of you should be more open and communicate better

There are things a good wife can do to support her man but if she decides to work why not? The Bible loves such a woman so a man should not see it as a competition. Not every woman can afford to buy land, leave home early morning etc. Those are things that depend on the . But every woman can garden, sew, make food, hair, wash etc to help the husband reduce monthly expenditure. A good wife can support in many ways. She can keep the home clean, kids and husband well cared for etc without buying g land bla bla bla. So, the duties of a wife does not strictly include her bringing money to the table.

They are there to govern. So you get a Chinese firm to do it. At the best price compared to what western companies would charge. You input training of local staff, engineers etc in the contract. You learn their technology, before long, local firms will start supplying parts for the systems...and then we will start seeing local firms rising to compete with the manufacturing/construction etc. That's how China themselves did it with the west. So we are not doing anything different. It's just like how we started by importing cars.....now we have companies like Innoson building cars here.

I am sure if Amaechi or one of those billion thieves gives you a juicy contract where you will be paid from their pocket, you will not reject but if an armed robber brings a stolen okada for you to keep for a cut, you would most likely say No. That is to show you the gravity of armed robbery. Conscience knows that armed robbers are killers and rapists by the side. Although pen thieves deserve same justice as armed robbers too.
