The problem here is you're arguing about a point I didn't make. How does asking for breeding talent being out first emphasis translate into us going there to lose? Have nations who've previously won the competition not prioritised breeding talent too? Didn't Nigeria previously challenge for the title too while at the same time prioritizing breeding talents? Even the US example you gave, this is the first time in their history they are having this number of professional players going and they've always competed too. You can argue for Imuran's inclusion, it's an opinion but don't argue against a point I didn't make.
Here’s Germany Squad…. With Professionals
You’re arguing as if Nigeria took 💯 Foreign pros to the World Cup.
Apart from Rofiat Imuran, Flourish Sabastine and Opeyemi Ajakaye who else? Or you want to include Aminat Bello and Oyinlola Olamide who are Collegiate/Academy Players.

3 midfielders ke? cry cry cry cry

Abi i dey see double?
With the players picked in Defense and Attack am very okay… cause is going to be tough for Danjuma to decide who starts considering their Capabilities…

… Two will have to start btw Shukurat, Oyinlola and Comfort at CB

… Imuran, Oluchi, Jumoke as FB’s

Upfront… Opeyemi Ajakaye, Janet Akekoromowei and Flourish Sabastine might be the starting trio upfront.. ( Speed, Finishing and Skills/Playmaking)

Goodness Osigwe, Adaobi Okah, Aminat Bello and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu are also good to start..

Yina Adoo will have to carry the main cross in midfield cause she’s arguably the one I know too well that’s very good with the ball, She plays more as a Deep-Lying Midfielder. I would have loved Chinyere Kalu behind her cleaning up the mess and doing the dirty job but Danjuma dropped her..!

Wow, nice effort. This team already has many abroad based players unlike the 2022 set. Beautiful to see 👍🏾
Rofiat Imuran should naturally be the captain of this team based on who broke into the falcons first.
Imagine the Captain Oluchi Ohaegbulem is a Left Back, Imuran is a Left Back/Winger, One must seat out if both are going as a Left Backs.. With Flourish Sabastine there am sure Imuran is going to play Left Back..

Imuran experience and Speed might kick Oluchi to the bench as she’s slower among their two.

The Left Back Oluchi Ohaegbulem of Nasarawa Amazons have been the Captain of this set till date with Jumoke Alani the Assistant Captain since qualifiers.

Maybe with the return of Imuran and co, there might be few changes which I expect..

Maybe the other two players are midfielders, but this list is according to the players that traveled to Colombia 🇨🇴, the ones I know very well and could recognize from the photo…

Adaobi Okah is also a an attacking minded Midfielder/Forward. So she can play there..!

Here’s 20yrs old goalkeeper Andrea TARAZONA who plays for Levante UD… who signed a new contract recently..

Mr Lovewins pls don’t provoke me next time, no one is going to the U20 World Cup just to breed talents..!

Spain squad will certainly be among the top3 oldest squad going to this U20 World Cup…

So Colombia that picked Linda Caceido don’t know what they’re doing ahbi?…

And you make my point for me with Spain. Spain is prove you don't have to go with "professionals" to win which is the point I am making.
Go back and check their Squad out and tell me the number of Professionals you see on the list… Just because you don’t know them you’re defending Spain as if their Squad is made up of even a Single Academy player..

Spain even have more professionals in their squad right now than any other Country that have named their Squad for the U20 World Cup… You don’t know the Players that’s why you just came out to talk… Go check them out first.. Their Squad is currently the heaviest have seen considering the caliber of players they have right now…!

They have players from Barcelona B, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Real Sociedad, Levante UD, Madrid CFF, Granada, Athletic Bilbao Club, Gijon W.. And those Players the picked from Barcelona B are the ones that even get game time with the main Barca Team

You’re talking as if you know the players Spain is taking to the U20 World Cup… Have you checked their squad out? Defending a country you know nothing about their Current squad.! For your information their U20 have full time professionals..

1• Sara Ortega 19yrs (FW) Athletic Club
2• Maite Zubieta 20yrs (MF) Athletic Club
3• Silvia Lloris 20yrs (MF) Levante UD
4• Júlia Bartel 20yrs (MF) Chelsea
5• Érika González 19yrs (MF) Levante UD
6• Jone Amezaga 19yrs (W) Athletic Club
7• Lucía Corrales 18yrs (LB) Barcelona B
8• Lucía Moral 20yrs (F) Atletico Madrid
9• Ona Baradad 20yrs (F) Barcelona B
10• Ornella Vignola 19yrs ( FW) Granada CF

Let me not mention all, just observe their list you will see almost all of them (15) play in the Liga F except few who are from D2 and are Barca B main players but they do gt game time in Barca main team.

Are they stupid or She didnt settle them or she was forced again to pay to represent huh mtcheww!!!
She’s Young enough to play for the U17.
she’s 16. I think it’s better they move her to the flamingoes and join them in preparation for the U17 World Cup where she stands a good chance of making the team. She will have to contend with the likes of Taiwo Afolabi for a spot as she’s an Attacking Midfielder.. Taiwo can play deep too even as a CDM

First, I was speaking about Nigeria and not these other nations. Our context differs significantly from France and the USA. I was also very aware of Linda Caicedo when I wrote it. This USA has the luxury of talented players cause they already have a system where they breed and develop players. We literally have NCAA players featuring as national team players in many countries because of the system the USA affords us. The same thing with France as many of their young players are attached early to professional clubs and Spain is gradually towing that line to. So what these nations who by the way have significant successes at the world stage do have little bearing to our context.

Am I against us winning? No I want us to win. I however think we should make the most of platforms like the u20 world cup for the reasons I earlier highlighted.
Even at that, the Spain that are currently winning the age competitions are they not breeding talents??

No one is going there to just participate, they want to Win.. So they should go there and loss the 3 game stage games then come back home say them don breed talents ahbi??

First, age grade competitions are primarily designed to breed talents. The expectation isn't necessarily to win them but provide a platform for young talents to thrive, and secondarily to give opportunities for professional clubs to see them. Imuran already has that as she not only plays professionally for a club in France, she's also a starter there for the most part. Notice I didn't mention Ajakaye and Flourish cause while they are both signed professionally, they haven't gotten a chance to prove themselves and this fulfills the secondary reason.

While there's nothing wrong with winning age grade competitions and aspiring to do well there, winning is and shouldn't be a top consideration. Look at our make teams, we've won every laurel possible at age grade competitions cause we largely take players beyond the age to these competition cause "we must compete to win". How exactly has that helped us in the long run please? What's the conversion rate of players going on to have a great career or how is it helped the Super Eagles on the global stage.

Like a wise man once said, "it's insanity to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results".
Oga calm down, have you checked out the US U20 list? They have 6 players who are already professionals playing in the NWSL and are starters for their various Clubs..

France had 7 players from Lyon & PSG and I don’t know yet if they have finally agreed to release them to the U20 World Cup.. two of Paris FC starters Ribederra the no.9 and Bulgart the Left back and in the squad too.. Nnadozie back up at Paris Fc and one other regular player was picked too…

Linda Caceido is also going to play and Captain her country in this same U20 World Cup so what are you saying….

Cameroon picked players who are already playing for their senior team and playing pro in France too..

This isn’t about just breeding talents, let them win toooooo💯. Ahbi Nigeria dey forbid Age grade World Cup trophies??

USL Super League kicks off today….! 🇺🇸

The USL Super League (USLS) is a professional women's soccer league in the highest level of the United States league system, alongside the National Women's Soccer League. Organized by the United Soccer League (USL), it operates as its premier league for women above the pre-professional USL W League. The league consists of eight clubs who annually play four round-robins – two in the fall and two in the spring – to earn four places in a playoff tournament that determines the league's champion. Additional clubs are expected to join the league in the future. Clubs in the league have no cap on salaries or squad sizes, while minimum salaries are around US$35,000 to 37,000. There is no draft system, and squads are primarily built with free agents. The league's matches are streamed nationally on Peacock.
