Normally NNPC suppose reduce their stake in the assets that they are not making profit in. Go into JV with serious oil players and stop this nonsense of burning cash into something that is not productive or profitable.

With the number of techs we've in this present day, I expect more abandoned oil wells to be acquired and more OMLs and OPLs acquired by serious indigenous O&G players.

Trump wants cheap oil so don't bank on the crude oil price changing trend anytime soon. Nah volume go move the market in 2026 and those who have a significantly low cost of production will reap the benefits.

Take that Lump sum and buy REITs like SFSREITS and UHREITs on NGX.
That way you are guaranteed returns without the hassle involved in home maintenance or land grabbing.

When you are now sure of the land to buy or the house you want to build for rent, then you can use the dividend you get to pursue such. Some of these REITs also offer services to help you as regards financing and property management.

There should be a mandatory nationwide review of our security architecture by the NSA under Ribadu.
If you want investors to take you seriously, then you need to take security seriously across board.

These people can't survive without their networks both ammunition and drugs. Follow the trail and cut the supply and watch banditry, kidnapping and terrorism a thing of the past.

As they are being caught so also should they be ❌ silently without media rounds.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Crude Oil Struggles To Find Buyers As 20 Million Barrels Remain Unsold by delvzy(m): 12:27pm On Dec 19, 2025
The Refined products are what is trending in the market.
You already have a Refinery here but you still want to be selling crises outside for chicken change so as to import their dirty fuel into this country.

The earlier the Blacks and Africans in general start thinking of value addition and chain in general, the better the deals and the demand for our products.

Africa MUST WAKE UP!! No more Loan-crude swaps, only the lender benefits from such a deal.
You lose your oil as well as your hedge in the current market.

With cheaper fuel as DJT wants it, what drives the market is quality and volume. Nigeria has that sweet crude but no volume to generate meaningful value from.

Ramp up production and get all the refineries working at optimal capacity. Let the competition begin!!

One thing you need to understand is that if you focus on only the negatives, you will see a lot that will discourage you. The right thing is to always have a balanced conclusion rather than just following what someone says.

As regards the scepticism about ELLAHLAKES' head office, it's only wise to throw a sign of caution rather than discouraging it outright.

While it seems the effect of the Israel-Iran War will ean high oil prices we also must consider the ripple effect this has on a moneconomy like Nigeria that very much dependent largely on oil for its source of revenue.
Oil companies get to sell at high price but goods and services also rise cause this economy is susceptible to price shocks and America’s continued interest in the Gulf region.

The US striking Iran to me is UNCALLED FOR

One thing I've come to understand about news going around is never to be in a hurry to buy or sell..
As the weeks go by the extent of this forbearance saga will be revealed. As for the banks only few will come out plain with their shareholders and how they hope to tackle it..
Others will just cook up beautiful jargon all in the name of press release.

Friday to Monday! There's ample time to rest and thoroughly review the company's financials and forward outlook as we all consider taking a position in this under-the-radar company.

What does Alhaji plan to bring to the market next – petrochemicals or fertiliser?

First, open a new page and go through the very first page of this forum at your own pace. As regards the stockbroker to use there are several established ones that members of the forum use from the time being.

I use Meristem, InvestNow (UnitedCapital) and Afrinvest cause they suit my personal needs. Find what works for you and you can bear as regards charges.

Feel free to drop a few questions for members of this forum to put you through.

Bigwings22:
How can one learn how to invest in the Nigerian Stock Market? Is it advisable? How about US stocks? Can one start small or do you need substantial amounts first? I only know Bamboo and Chaka as platforms to buy stocks in both Nigerian and US but the charges on Bamboo is much. I don't know why something like stocks that they want everyday people to be a part of will cost that much to get into especially for beginners. Also I hear about stocks paying dividends especially banks in Nigeria and makes me wonder if they pay the investors on Bamboo or just investors that registered with them at their banks.

I don't know how all these stuff works, would be glad if you helped out or anyone at all.

Nigerians will never learn from PONZI schemes. It's just that greed in wanting magic money that cause many to sign up for everlasting sorrow.

This is the MAIN reason why I intend to stick to the Stock Market as my avenue for Wealth Creation that would transcend to my upcoming generation.

There are no shortcuts to wealth or success.

This trade war between the US and China tends to last for a while to see who burge first.
Just look at another matter brewing in the UK, where the parliament had to come back from a recess to potentially renationalise British Steel from heading into a total collapse.

While I don't agree with some part of Trump’s tariff push but a man’s go to do what he gotta to remain as a world leader.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by delvzy(m): 1:15am On Apr 08, 2025
TRUMP; Like him or hate him but the fact remains that the current state of servicing debt in America is currently unsustainable. Forget the hullabaloo that some of these MSMs are painting and ask yourself this, “What other approach would force the world to the negotiation table than this?”

I try as much as possible to watch the intent here rather than the tantrums being thrown by some world leaders back and forth.

Sometimes what appears to be a stupid idea is worth more than nothing at all.
The World Economy can't continue to kick the cans down the road.

As a business in Nigeria, If you never add a bit of craze to your modus operandi when dealing with some unscrupulous elements, prepare to see your business run down.
As for Nigeria and its politicians, it is better as a public company to start playing the same game as them but codedly.

Thanks for the feedback. I intend to play the long game at this point.
Can you elaborate on the few alternative options you mentioned?
RodgersAkpafu:
I will swap SFS Reit for UPDC REIT
BUA is a long term play, if you are a dividend hunter, avoid any Rabiu company
What I do is spend money I consider write off to buy their shares (Cenrment and foods) so I don't compute it in my dividend valuations

Aradel is Aii
Presco is good
I'll swap Fidelity for Zenith if it is a mutually exclusive choice....
If not
80:20 in favour of Zenith

PS....
Just have it in mind that the weighted average dividend return (annual) of this portfolio no go high laidat

Nigeria’s case just be like that little pikin wey wan wear new shirt hin mama buy for am without cleaning the shit wey dem hin yansh komot.
We are yet to have a leader/govt that is ready to handle an entity like NNPC with an iron hand. For a country that relies on Oil as its major source of revenue as compared with other state-owned entities, it is appaling.

Regarding politics in this forum, I believe we need to approach delicate matters that constructively affect the stock market. What I and I believe others in this forum, will not tolerate is insulting one another or turning this space into tribal warfare.

Refrain from such acts and let peace prevail. Don't let a sudden rush of blood to the head destroy the cordial relationships we've built in this forum over the years.

Ultimately, governing Nigeria resembles a relay race. While we may have our preferred leader, the ultimate goal should always be to strive for the collective aim of a better country for everyone.

Happy Investing to you all AND GOD BLESS NIGERIA 🇳🇬
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by delvzy(m): 12:15pm On Mar 15, 2025
Glad ARADEL is starting to get the recognition it ought to get. This is one Indigenous company that is prime for sustainable growth provided the BoDs stick to the road map.
Right now it may seem that the capacity is low as compared to their competitors but this is a company that still has a whole lot to offer in O&G as well as other energy-related investment.
