Grind for Elumelu money, I just wan soft like Tony. 😁😁 This year ehn kwaruption must go round. I still dey on the fence as regards that Yoruba demon called Wale and his shenanigans with Oando. |
As an investor, I second this motion. It's time for the baboon to also come and work with the monkey. ositadima1: |
With the series of events happening to OKOMU, won't it be wise to DIVERSIFY to other regions that are relatively safe? It doesn't have to be sudden but it could be gradual. You don't want a situation where the whole business operation is put on hold when something like this happens again. |
An additional data will be to compare with the estimated reserves of each nation. In our own case, too many holes dey this pipeline of a thing. KarlTom: |
First, remember investing is not a SPRINT rather it is a marathon. What is your risk appetite like? Are you here for the short, medium or long-term? What sector or public company/companies do you find interest in? You can then build from there by researching. The web is your friend if you know how. xyrexzmanto: |
Eku Market oo. I'll be looking to add some Afolabi units this week in UCAP, AFRIPRUD and CHAMPBREW. P.S.; This is Not Financial Advice, Do Your Own Research! |
There is always a bad element in a good result likewise a good element in a bad result. Your job is to leverage on both scenarios to build a portfolio to stand the test of time. |
I see this NS/DS saga as a way to price the respective stocks better. Additionally, it is best to consider the best and worst-case scenarios before putting your money in. The Market has no respect for emotions. |
Q2 of 2024 is just unwrapping itself. Make we see how Mr Market behaves as more Q1 results come in. |
Make all these modular refineries come list for NGX to raise capital for their sustainability. On a serious note, govt need to foster policies that breeds more healthy competition in the petroleum space. |
SetrakusRa:I will advise you to do it based on sectors rather than just making comparisons haphazardly. For the return on net tangible assets (RONTA), look for one with at least 20%. Use the formula; RONTA = Net Income / Net Tangible Assets To find the Net Tangible Asset use; Total Assets (-) Total Liabilities (-) Intangible Assets |
Penboy:I make use of Investing(dot)com as well as the company’s report as well as Trading View. There are others out there though. Feel free to look for the ones that best suit you. |
WEEKEND RESEARCH; To all who wish to take part in this short-term educational-based research, feel free to contribute. THEME; FINDING WONDERFUL COYS ON NGX THAT ARE FAR BELOW THEIR INTRINSIC VALUE The question I'd like to put for is this; Based on the given metrics below, what stock or stocks have a high intrinsic value? 1. Return on Net Tangible Assets (RONTA) 2. Return on Equity (ROE) 3. Profit Margin 4. Earnings per Share (EPS) 5. Debt to Equity 6. Free Cash Flow (FCF) 7. Capital Light i.e Businesses that do not necessarily require extensive capital to operate. 8. Retained Earnings DISCLAIMER This exercise is for educational purposes to the general public. This shouldn't be tagged as financial advice |
I have one Portfolio wey I call TONI-DANG-BUA; the idea is to accumulate various stocks that I deem to good to ignore. I for add Ote$ join but make I wait see what this guy dey do behind the scenes. This year as we no gree for anybody we dey also follow people wey sabi road. Hook or Crook is the mantra 😄😄🤞 |
Na why we dey Dollar Cost Average. The more it comes down the more dollars we buy 🤣🤣 |
One way to reduce your electricity consumption is to be aware of the appliances that you leave on that consume a whole lot of the electricity. You can start averaging down from the most important to the least important. We still need more players in the power sector. The two Alhajis may consider that in the future but nah O&G be the koko right now. |
Thursday due to tomorrow and Monday being public holidays. T+3 begins from the resumption of trading the following day. essentialone: |

Shey if Saudi drop like €3bn as prize pool for a rival league, shey UEFA fit compete? Let's wait and see sha. Broadcasting Rights business yaff set; Time to bunch in the numbers and other modalities. |
A spark of positivity for investors, knowing that there are no wide margins in arbitraging. The naira is still finding solid ground while the whole market calms down a bit. Over to the Fiscal side to set the economy back on track by tackling food inflation first. People voted you to work for them and work you must do. |
I see no difference between unaudited and audited reports of some coys listed on NGX. Nah just rubberstamping. Which auditor wan give you negative remark when dem dey rent office for one of your estates. Make I hold on to my tashere TRANSCORP see what Tony and the gang are playing heading into Q2. That diluted OS need some restructuring. |
E fit be same a large portion of their profit was diverted towards expansion. Las las those Indian brothers go overfeed themselves. Make market price them accordingly as they are not doing anything spectacular than the FIDSONs and MAYBAKERs of this market. Mpeace: |
Padi Mi has said it all. You are here to learn and not burn your hands quickly. Even if it is just 1 to 5 shares that you wait patiently to buy is better than the ones you rush to buy all because say you dey as someone to recommend what you should buy. You can't succeed in this market until to embrace the loss that comes with it. Enjoy losing as much as you enjoy losing. Ire oo!! 222Martins: |
Dear Newbies, I know you are overwhelmed with how infos dey come left, right and centre. My advice is for you to go back to pg.1 and learn right from the beginning. Go on a journey of the ups and downs of NSEMPA and see have some have weathered the storm as well as some who couldn't survive the storm. We are all in this to build wealth and not just a fair share of one-hit-wonder. Have a lovely trading week!! |
The range of 160-180 is where I will be looking to average down if I have any interest in MTN’s recovery. On the Macro side, we wait for Q1 results at least before committing reasonable Afolabi units. P.S.; NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE. Do your Research! |
Coolcash1:For this jungle weh we dey na to average down. MTN just getting cheaper till fundamentals says otherwise. Nah GAMBU play I dey do 🤣🤣 |
Nah to just stick with the little Afolabi shares I get for TRANSCORP. No need to rush as long as the parent coy no dey reduce her holdings in the POWER arm. A word of advice to newbies on this forum is to go back to the very first page of this forum and follow through. 50% of your questions can be answered by just doing due diligence to go through past comments. Even till this day I still backtrack to refresh myself on some OG bants 🤣 What you have in this forum is a gold mine that rewards the PATIENT. |
BREAKING!! MTN just reached a 52-week low. Avenue for bargain hunters to scoop when the coast is clear. |
This week is going to be interesting; a PATIENT investor will seek out value amidst all this hullabaloo. |
megawealth01:I do understand you, but I'm here to do my preliminary homework based on those four pillars. With the TRANSCORP POWER listing next week, it only makes things more interesting as regards POWER, just need to know what it is for me as a TRANSCORP shareholder. Let's see how it all plays out. |
To the OGs and well-wishers in the how, I do need a bit of advice from you. I’m planning to create an investment portfolio based on four key areas-; Food, Clothing, Shelter and Power. Would you care to recommend some quoted coys w good fundamentals that fall under this category or have a direct or indirect link to the categories mentioned above? Your diverse feedback is much appreciated. |
