All these nah okoto. If they’re truly patriotic about the naira and the economy, they’ll do the needful on putting a stop to the real arbitrageurs. You can ban Binance and what not for the time being but that won’t solve anything. Aboki Fx came and nothing change, this one too will pass. |
“STOP the stealing and RAMP UP revenue. RAMP UP revenue and you can STOP excessive money printing” |
There should be a way for the govt to cajole crypto exchanges like Binance rather than making subtle threats around. NIGERIA is the largest crypto market for Binance and other exchanges in Africa and one of the top in the world, why then will they do something to jeopardize their business? Maybe when Tinubu and his so-called economy “gurus” begin to pick stones in their glass houses, they will sit up. P.S.; NAIRA INVESTMENTS OR DOLLARS? Why not the best of BOTH? |
BabsO2:We need to see insecurity lessen to yield anything good on the street |
The money circulating out of the banking sector (~North of #2T) needs to find one way to bank either through stocks or another avenue. People are hoarding too much which in its way is causing a strain on the Naira. |
MrDiligence:On one side this is good news to investors as the cost of operation will be reduced and funds channelled to other things. On the other unemployment rises. Normally alcohol is sachet na scam from the pit of hell. Do you know the amount of waste we get from all these sachet products? |
The way this OandO issue dey go, we fit use the whole 2024 for am without any clear coast ahead. Wetin concern Wale when steady payment package dey enter steady for am. |
This Forum is priceless. Where would Nairaland have been without this? Big ups to the founding members of this forum ![]() |
It's good to see us back. I for dey see Oando boys moving goal post up and down. |
From a former user, stay clear off Chaka oo. Was expecting Risevest takeover to change things but things are still the same if not worse. I currently use Afrinvest with Meristem on the side. Jonwest: |

Our never reach the point were we would have a futures or options market to hedge your shares with. Still a long way to go though. |
I am extremely grateful for taking time to dissect this. As per new baby wey I be, make I chop this info small small else I choke ![]() Hogwarthtrades: |
I just hope people like us get the chance to have our questions answered rather than have a few people derailing this chat on tribal grounds. The best for such a person is to Ignore and Report. |
How is this a reasonable decision? Hope no wan tell Imolites how hopeless his second tenure is going to be. People of Imo need to start questioning the government, especially on the pension funds and other gratuities. How will someone work for donkey years and not have access to a befitting retirement? The youthful population is just wasting up and down. |
To those who wish to contribute to this; Do you have a NGX ETF on your portfolio? What advice will you give a newbie considering such a route? |
I'm keeping tabs on MECURE's audited results whenever that comes out. Still not a buy for me till the float increase a bit. It looks like a large chunk of their revenues will go back into expansion purposes as the establishment of two new factories was made known on the day of listing on NGX. |
Redbull is taking its mantra seriously, Afterall “Redbull gives you wings” 🤣🤣 |
Why some may be quick to give this a thumbs-up, I don't see the point of establishing new institutions unless it is projected towards a specific discipline that can bring about growth and development, not add another burden to the ever-increasing quota of jobless graduates. Education is going digital and more practical-oriented with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence. About time other collar jobs like Plumbing, Electrical works and other things we regard as menial jobs become the focal point. |
So is it synonymous to a particular stock gaining or losing 10% for that trading day? ositadima1: |
Yoast:From their presentation, the said they are only doing "Listing by Introduction". They are trying to see how the market accept/reject them before making a decision on adding more into the market. My concern is that OS won't be up to 5%. The top three own a large chunk. |
TO THE NSEMPA OGs; For newbies like me, what happens during a FULL BID v FULL OFFER? |
Have South Africans ever asked themselves the question; "What will we do differently if this happened on our soil" Why do you think the Egyptian President is being cautious in avoiding emotions to take over logical reasoning? Condemn the Crime and not the people. |
Gift delivered to us on a Monday. Keep on shining bright like a diamond! |
Defecting is the normal play card of the political game. My point sticks on the merry-go-round politics we seem to be running in this part of the world. A politics that doesn’t seek continuity rather destroy/abandon your predecessors project and build your own. You tend to ask what developmental plan is being make within these political parties for their flag bearer to key into on ascending to the position of No.1 ThebestPromise: |
Different day, different judgment. Care to know if the Supreme Court will stick to this if it was APC that was the complaint. |
You can only support as far as your eyes can see. It is not rocket science that APC is ridiculed with several myopic individuals. Why should Buhari have a plan and Tinubu have another? ThebestPromise: |
Which mentality does Nigerians need again? APC has successfully strangled the last drop of hope for a better Nigeria. Rather than cut the cost of governance, they went on to triple it w/ more junk and over-bloated govt. |
This statement clearly shows a government that doesn't give a damn about its citizens. When you turn deaf ears to cutting costs on your part and clamouring for an ill-fated subsidy removal without any visible soft landing, you are only setting the whole nation towards a gloomy and doomed future. Copy and Paste govt with refined English of the same old jargons. |
I’m yet to understand what Nigerians benefit from keeping APC in power. This country is being ruled by individuals. Has anybody bothered to ask what Tinubu’s government is doing to merge the policies of his predecessor with his? The day we start asking these questions and put favouritism aside, the better we begin to build a bright and sustainable future for all Nigerians. |
