I actually agreed with the dividend part, but you have to look at this from a business perspective, the Monopolistic rights they have over their contents is what makes people subscribe to their platforms (buy their products) now what if other platforms start showing their contents, their profits crashes, and don't forget it is the right they have over movies, that makes them pay contents creators handsomely.
