Criticism as it may come on this pastor, he has a standard he is following. The couple could have gone on to have a court wedding and reception where there won't be any law on their dance style. But church is church for God's sake, minus sons of Belial ready to make the church another club. |
nextstep:Please let them see this more often. That's when they'd know that the feminism they're shouting nowadays is responsible increase in divorce and unstable families, lots of children without stable parents and so on. The real women fought for freedom, justice and liberty for the women folk and yet, they all had successful homes while the ones nowadays are fighting over who heads the house, who's better etc when it's clear that tue difference between men and women will never make them equal though women should never be subjugated. |
It's time Nigeria create ingenious indegenous solutions to our indegenous problems. If this is actualized, agriculture might experiment a boost in terms of products getting preserved. |
cosmatika:That's just to show that many people call themselves gay because it seems to be the 'newly' accepted norms in their society. Your signature though, I wanna know 'all' you've seen that makes you call them vanity. |
MrMcJay:Fifty salutations for you sir. This is the point I've been saying that people are really missing. While Fresh FM might be guilty as charged, the government ought not to have acted when it did. Firstly, government is a body not a person, so why the rush? Why can't they wait for the court injunctions? Secondly, anyone good at calculating politics should know that Ajimobi ought not to do anything near controversy till his last day in office especially when he is so much concerned about leaving a successor from his party. To him, he has fulfilled the law but to the populace, he has acted wickedly. Now it's all spilt milk. The indigenes will keep seeing a devilish Ajimobi. Even the reconciliation itself will make people know that he's afraid of 2019. |
So surprising and saddening it really is to see people bashing one another over politicians who have been held responsible for the present rot Nigeria is in. If at this stage when election is drawing nearer, we are still opposing and defending two individuals who have contributed their quotas to our present problems, then I don't think we can come out of Nigeria's present challenges unless we decide to change. Either Jonathan or Buhari, which of them embarked on the project from their personal income? Why then should we keep fighting and arguing over what they should have done according to their offices. If Nigeria must develop, we need to reorientate ourselves. Government has its job and they need funds which they're getting in abundance but the job is not done. We need to stop defending these individuals if we want them to change. Many politicians wouldn't be as bad had it been they had no supporters. While their children will scarcely canvass for their supports on the social media, some of us are ready to die for them because of crumbs of what ought to be ours in the first place. Now I know that our problem in Nigeria is not about getting educated or not, it's about knowing what is ours in whatever guise it comes and fighting to get it. Please stop fighting and arguing over these chaps for Nigeria's sake! |
rhames:The radio station is still on air by the way. And I don't think Mr Ayefele put all his eggs in one basket though the saying is something we should adhere to. It's just sad and painful that the government that's not benefitting it's people is still responsible for destruction of the citizen's hard-earned properties. Imagine thinking twice before investing in my own motherland... |
SaintChukz:You're an educator right? You just mentioned one point most people will miss. The child still needs time with kids of his agemate. He's gifted in an area but if he's really loved by his family, they'll ensure they provide an environment that'll build his emotional, social and psychological life. BTW, I hope Nigerian parents would look beyond making their children do what they (the parents) want. |
felaismyhero:I didn't even check the user name. I'm sorry for that. |
felaismyhero:You're still changing the topic sir. I don't like debating because opponents are always right depending on the weight of words used though. We weren't talking about Fela's status as a musician here, we were comparing him with Charly boy whom I disagree could be compared with Fela. Fela wasn't just a singer, he was a politician who had his own political party. He was an African to the core with full fledge African values including worshipping Ògún and Sango in a shrine he created. Charly boy on the other hand symbolises an Amercanised modern Nigerian who is enaged in activism. This was our point of argument. Would you still agree that Fela and Charly boy are comparable? Perhaps you need to listen to Fela's songs more to understand who he was. |
coputa:Now the diversion "you are usung a China made phone" which I don't think has anything to do with what's at hand here. I don't insult people online and I won't start with you. I replied your comment because it seemed intelligent to me. As for the Charlie boy you were talking about, let's leave the gay aspect of it, can you tell your child to model him? Yes, Fela lived the life of an average musician hence, the but in his life but still, he's way different from Charlie boy. As for fighting singlehandedly, many Nigerians without name are making impact without anyone to give them recognition like they give "area fada". |
coputa:I wouldn't respond if this weren't a public forum but we're both enjoying opportunity from the internet. I disagree with your comment sir. It's true people sometimes overvalue the dead but Fela and Charlie boy are not the same. His songs enough will tell you he's a full African man unlike Mr Charlie who's following Western trend most likely because his own daughter is now involved. Secondly, how do you measure Nigerians as to their realness and truthfulness? Because you're implying that you're not real or truthful and hence everything you posted there is invalid. |
MsGood:Mis-education is what I'd call it. Summary of all definition of education is the preparation of people on how they can survive and make meaningful contributions. Education is supposed to help them find the path while miseducation is forcing things on people's brain whereby they finally become useless to themselves, the society and even the person forcing the education on them. |
jman77:I also saw one around Agodi-Gate area. It's just at the square leading to Agodi Prison if you're coming from Government house. If it can be maintained, seriously it looks befitting for a busy place like Agodi-Gate. |
He will also have explanations as to why he will perform woefully should he become Nigeria's president. But he won't tell us now, he'll wait till he has forgotten his presidency. APC and PMB have explanations too despite all their promises. |
Once I heard a lecturer saying that UI is going to be the Harvard of Nigeria. How I wish that would happen but with the impudent running of things in a government owned institution where adults are supposedly being trained, I don't think it will ever happen. It was tiling of the roof in Mellamby Hall that started this saga, no one mentioned the fact that the same tiling of the roof of Kuti Hall's SCR has made the room to be leaking while some toilets in the same hall have remained untouched probably for the last 64 years when the Hall was built. It's grossly unfortunate our academic system has become a great liability to this country. A society that enjoys being massaged with lies rather than face the roughness of the truth will never develop. |
Herrmes:It's neither a true or false statement since neither of us has tangible proof for either and that's why the person saying it should acknowledge that and stop posting heresies. It is actually more false since you can't confirm what you say. |
Herrmes:Firstly, the point you're making is entirely different from the person I was quoting who posted like an alpha and omega of Jesus' live like they lived together before. Secondly, Christianity is authoritative like you said and unfortunately, derailed men of God uses it to deceive people but Christianity isn't forced down your throat if it's not from con men. |
ollah2:My point is: we have freedom to choose what to believe about anyone especially people we read about. Whether it is Prophet Muhammad or Jesus Christ, we may choose what to believe about their lives but that doesn't mean we should start giving authoritative opinions about them since we were not there. We only read records and we choose either to believe or not. If the Bible says Jesus is God or the Son of God, you can choose to believe that or not and with the existential mindset we now have, you have a right to believe. But there is little you can say to the public especially when it comes to discrediting someone you don't believe what you read about. |
Quality20:Would you hold on to your claim that Christianity is the initiator of those wars you mention rather than the fact that it was misused by organizations, individuals and churches for their selfishness? Try and be objective and perhaps if you read the New Testament with an open heart, you'll understand what I'm saying. We've been defrauded in this world and we're still being defrauded. By pastors who're using Christianity to enrich themselves, countries using it against countries, bosses against servants etc but it doesn't stop there because atheists are also defrauding us by using the ill-feeling gathered from reprobates to disclaim the truth of the Bible. Christianity is no an old testament thing, it is from the new testament. Have you then come across ANY doctrine of the new testament promoting those things you listed there or subjugation and oppression of the poor by the rich or even pastors? |
CAPSLOCKED:You speak as if this Christ you're talking was your former next door neighbour. All I see in your comments is lack of objectivity which you think you wanted to show by telling tales of how Jesus was like ordinary men etc. While people blame religion for indoctrination, they themselves don't shelve away from indoctrinating others with their aversion against religion. All you've done is read some books which are either facts or fiction and since you really can't verify which of them it is, you resort to making everything about the personality Jesus, fictitious. You're not the only one to believe he is man but stop peddling falsehood because you can't confirm whether Jesus is just a man or not. Good for you whatever you believe but don't try to tell us you've been alive since the birth of Jesus till now to tell us the truth about him. |
The more I see rots like this in our education system, the more the hope I have in Nigeria reduces. And yet, that hope won't die. How do we expect our society to function well internally not to talk of global repute when education is rotting? While the system in Nigeria keep rotting away and citizens running away, other countries are living post-fundamental kind of life. I wish we start getting it right. |
Anigreat:Maybe she's not that high |
BiggyB242:Yes, getting married to an extrovert will give you a balanced life but at the same time, you've not taken good notice of your strengths and goodly attributes. Introverts are really sincere, loyal and observant. One thing I personally wouldn't like losing is my power to observe. It has kept me on edge of relationships. I can tell a person's personality on few encounters with them all because I'm very observant. You still have deep insights too that you is not common to come by. In short, you won't have everything you like about yourself now if you're an extrovert. There's always more to introverts and there will always be more to you. happy discovering! |
mhisbliss:It wasn't even induced by my environment. I had never seen nor heard anything like that happening anywhere then. But I remember clearly that it was a period that the other boy and myself used to be alone in the house all the time. I can't even remember what experiment we were undertaking that developed in the act. But perhaps we couldn't practice it for a long time after the period was over (it was a summer holiday period), it went away naturally. It's not even something I remember quite easily again. If not for some comments about being born or not being born with homosexuality that I read here, I wouldn't have remembered that I was involved before though I was around 10 at the time. I think humans have the tendency to do that which is natural or unnatural both at 50%. Whichever one they choose however, is what is considered as 'attitude' etc. As we have instincts to do good, so also there are instincts to do evil but we develop the one we focus on more and that's what define us even to the level of sexuality. |
LastSurvivor11:I understand your point sir but you're still generalizing. Let me state this example: when I was very young, I lied to my dad at an instance and the words he said is still stuck in my brain till date. As a grown up now, I hate lying to the core yet it's all around me. So it's not about criminal mindset and if we're really to state it as criminal mindset then, every human on earth is guilty of this since Nigerians have been experiencing hot seasons which gets hotter by the day from the hands of our politicians. |
beejayvince:Does the mass of people watching the video on YouTube understand satire? Her message is simple, Falz jumbled us all together as criminals but even though there are a lot of criminal in various sectors of the country, does that make us all criminals including Falz himself? |
LastSurvivor11:But if we all indeed have a criminal mindset, like the lady said, we should stop celebrating thousands of Nigeria making waves everyday all over the globe, we should stop lamenting whenever someone suffers because of some people's selfishness since you've said we all have criminal mindset. Nigeria is now estimated around 180m people, and we all have criminal mindset though the country is like this? |
This is the real long-leg ahjussi |
mhisbliss:Firstly I must commend your boldness for writing this up. While many people think that the homosexuals are the only one afraid to air their views, the cyberspace is suggesting otherwise. For you to stand up either as a straight person or homosexual now, it's boldness. Reading many comments that bothered on whether being straight or gay is natural or unnatural made me remember an awful period in my childhood days when I was involved in homosexuality with a young boy of my age. We never watched porn neither did we encounter any circumstance where we might have learnt it but yet, I remember everything so clearly. The room we used, the position I was and the position my partner was. If there had been more opportunity for me to practice it more, perhaps I also would be claiming today that I was born that way. I've read many scientific argument either for or against it but I am going to speak on what I see in the everyday life of my surrounding here. The same way stealing and honesty are neither natural nor unnatural is the same way homosexuality is. Because honesty favours the society more, we encourage and vehemently oppose stealing. Even if the individual grow up stealing, he will always be aware he is against the normal running of the society. When someone at a young age develops homosexual attitude, they should be made to understand who they were made to be in terms of sex and why every organ of their bodies must serve what it is meant to serve. Everything I see about homosexuality nowadays is just a form of social conditioning and hence, the individual believes he was made that way. |
post=67874643:Is this their new method of drawing attention to themselves for later presidency or we're supposing that mediating among stake holders in a national issue is what make good presidents? |
Bossontop:You must be really sure you're gonna be 10 times better than Buhari for posting this picture. I still think we can criticize our president without going this far. |
