The unexplained rise at a time of a continued fall in international crude oil prices left many analysts wondering but investigation by BusinessDay has showed that the transparent reporting method imposed by the two-month old Buhari administration meant that revenues that were hitherto unaccounted for, had to be brought into the collective pool for sharing.

The total disbursable fund for June amounted to N539bn or $2.71bn, up by 32 per cent from the level for May.

The statutory allocation, the largest element of the payment, brought an increase of N162b or the equivalent of $810m on May revenues.

A state like Edo, for instance saw its June allocation rise significantly, by more than N500m and governor Adams Oshiomhole who confirmed the development was unequivocal that the additional funds would not have come in if government agencies were left to account for their revenues in their old ways.

There is no law that gives immunity to a Senator. It is only the President, Vice President , Governors and Deputy Governors that enjoy immunity under S. 308 of our constitution.

No law allows a convict to stand for an election or be appointed into government without a period of 10 years elapsing from the time of his conviction.

About the best governor Rivers have ever had, this issue is no brainer. If the op has enough evidence to nail him then he should present his facts to the authorities and they will investigate. It's as simple as that.
Commisioner of police just last week came on air and publicly declared that he is yet to receive any report of govt looting wike claimed happened when he came in. Who is deceiving who? Does it mean that the kitchen utensils wike claimed Amaechi stole didn't really happened?
Secondly, no one claim that Amaechi is a saint just like any other politician of ours( excluding the General himself) including his accusers themselves so what's the point? Can u vouch that ur Akpabio isn't a thief? Av u called for his investigation yet? If not, why the hypocrisy? If he chooses to go for the biggest of them all to save his time, who am I to question that? Afterall his predecessor came and did nothing about that and u lot had nothing against it and suddenly u now want the entire country to be probed since 1960.
U can't eat ur cake and still have it. This is the Generals time, Apc time, Amaechi time and they will govern the way they deemed fit and careless about what remnants of the killer party think.
When next is the time of the killer party to govern, they will seize the opportunity to do the right thing.
Again, write ur petition and submit. The security agents will investigate and determine the veracity of ur claims, if they do not take action, it's because there is no credible claims and it's ends there. If u won't be satispied with that verdict then go to UN. [/b]
