Knowing the gender of an unborn baby seems like an interesting topic for couples. While some go spiritual, some others make it a comic issue by betting and some choose to “leave everything to God”. But then beyond the usual ultrasound scan, which is the imaging test that uses sound waves to create a picture of how a baby is developing in the womb, mothers can now predict the gender of the baby in their womb by simply observing some of the things below. According to a report on earnify.com, the breast during pregnancy gives a good signal to knowing the gender of the baby. The report noted that if the woman’s right breast is bigger than the left, she would likely have a girl, while a larger left breast symbolises the coming of a boy. Also, the type of food a woman craves for during pregnancy could give an inkling to the baby’s gender. The report noted that a pregnant woman craving for sweet food may likely have a baby girl while the baby would likely be a boy if the woman craves for salty food. Also, a woman with a usual feeling of sickness, stomach upset with an inclination to vomit may likely give birth to a girl while the absence of such feeling may lead to having a boy. The position of the bump was also found to give a clue as to the gender of the baby. The report pointed out that if the baby bump is on the upper part of the stomach, it would likely be a girl while a bump in the lower region means a boy. Beyond these, the heartbeat of the woman while carrying the baby was also found to play a role, as 140 beats per minute indicates a girl while below that gives the probability of having a boy. In addition, pregnant women with an outburst of pimples and skin rashes would most likely have a girl. Even the wedding ring is not left out of the show. Pregnant women who are desirous of knowing their baby’s gender were advised to lie on their back and face up. Then, they should tie their wedding ring with a rope and suspend it directly above their bump. The report says that if the ring swings back and forth, it’s a girl but if it moves in a circle, then the woman should prepare for a boy. Interestingly, a key gives a clue as well. The report noted that if an expectant woman deliberately drops a key on the ground, she should (without looking at the key) pick up the key. It says that if she picks the pointed end of the key, she might likely have a girl but if she is able to grab the round end, a boy might be on the way. www.punchng.com/entertainment/saturday-breeze/how-to-self-determine-unborn-babys-gender/ |

Jayjay0:For your information, this is a true life story ravaging one deeper life church in Port Harcourt |
A young lady married a man. They agreed never to have sex before their wedding. But on their wedding night, the lady found out that the man's manhood is smaller than the little finger and the man did not let her know. She decided to end the marriage. When the matter was brought before the church, some said that since they have not consummated the marriage with sex that God has not joined them. Meaning that until a couple's initial sex they have not been joined. Again, they argued that since the man refused to let her know his condition it means that the marriage was built on deceit therefore it is null and void ab nitio. But others insisted that the girl has been fully married from the day her bride price was paid. Therefore she cannot divorce and that the marriage is for better and for worse. We’re a culture obsessed with parenthood, or “parenting,” as we like to call it. Countless websites, books, and magazines provide advice for parents aspiring to perfection. And paramount on any good parent’s priority list is making sure our kids are safe and healthy. So we pay extra for organic milk and banish trans fats from our kitchens. We deliberate over the safest car seats and sign petitions to ban sodas from school cafeterias. We talk to our kids early and often about the dangers of smoking, drinking and drugs. But when it comes to the hazards of sex, our approach falls somewhere between passivity and paralysis. For whatever reasons – concern about imposing fear and shame, embarrassment about being hypocritical, or not believing that kids are capable of self-control – we can’t bring ourselves to just say “don’t!” We make sure our kids know about condoms and the Pill, and tell them we’re always there if they want to talk. Which is the equivalent of shutting our eyes, crossing our fingers, and hoping. Hoping that our kids won’t get pregnant, or get someone else pregnant. Hoping that they won’t catch that STD that causes infertility or cancer. Hoping the chemical bonds that they form and then break won’t break their hearts. ADVERTISEMENT Because here’s the rub. It is an indisputable fact that having sex means taking risks. We can reduce the risks of unwanted consequences, but we can’t eliminate them. We wouldn’t tell our kids that it’s okay to smoke -- as long as they smoke low tar cigarettes. Or that drugs are fine -- but only in small doses. But we tell them – by not telling them otherwise – that risking pregnancy, life-threatening diseases, and emotional devastation is okay. Here are some cold, hard facts to consider. Every year there are ten million – ten million! – new cases of sexually transmitted diseases among our sons and daughters who are 15 to 24 years old. As of 2008, one in four teenagers already had an STD, according to the Centers for Disease Control. The most commonly transmitted STD is HPV, or human papillomavirus. We now know that certain types of HPV cause cancers of the head and neck. Think Michael Douglas. Others cause cervical cancer. Another “common STD,” according to the CDC, is chlamydia. In 2013, there were nearly a million cases among 15- to 24-year olds. If our daughters are among that million, it could mean they’ll never be able to have kids of their own. When it comes to the hazards of sex, our approach falls somewhere between passivity and paralysis. For whatever reasons – concern about imposing fear and shame, embarrassment about being hypocritical, or not believing that kids are capable of self- control – we can’t bring ourselves to just say “don’t!” As for getting pregnant, the CDC reports that nearly half of all pregnancies in this country are unintended. For women 19 and younger that rises to four out of five. What’s not to understand here? Sex makes babies! According to the Guttmacher Institute, at 2008 rates, one in ten women will have an abortion by the time she is 20 years old. Even if you’re morally neutral on the subject of abortion, the image of your daughter crying in her college dorm room as she contemplates the possibility of aborting your grandchild can’t be a pretty one. And even if you believe abortion is the equivalent of getting a tooth pulled, how could you not worry about the possibility of some psychological fallout. Then there are the emotional consequences of sexual intimacy. Studies have linked sexual activity with depression in teenage girls. We now know about oxytocin, a hormone released in the female brain during sexual activity. Among other things, it promotes feelings of bonding and trust. Like it or not, sex comes with emotional strings attached. Dr. Miriam Grossman is a psychiatrist who worked in the campus counseling center at UCLA. She recounted the devastating effects of casual sex among her patients in her book, Unprotected . “Almost daily, I prescribe medication to help students, mostly women, cope with loss and heartbreak.” Are we willing to live with the prospect of our kids suffering from depression?u Depression that was preventable? As parents we spend our lives trying to protect our kids. So here’s a radical thought. How about urging them to wait till they’re married before having sex? If we really want what’s best and safest and healthiest for our kids, let’s start a sexual revolution. Hey, it’s been done before. www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/06/05/real-truth-about-sex-what-were-not-telling-our-kids.html?intcmp=features |
There is confusion at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, following a startling revelation that certain dead students of the institution were graded and awarded marks in recent semester examinations. A rights group, International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law openedthecan of worms in a petition to the school authorities recently The petition entitled: “Complaints Against Wrongful Allocation of Results to Deceased Students’: A call for Investigation and Redress, alleged that “one of the deceased students awarded marks in exams he never participated was Late Ezeh Uchenna with registration number FPO/SLT/ND/R1/012/038. The petition was signed by the Chairman of the group’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Emeka Umeagbalasi. According to the group, “The said Uchenna was given upper credit (3.05) and awarded 67 in Cell Biology, 81 in Organic Chemistry, 60 in Physical Chemistry, 49 in Electricity and Magnetism, 44 in Optics and Waves, 66 in Analytical Chemistry, 70 in General Lab Techniques, 69 in Computer Packages and so on. It also alleged that some students who had long left the polytechnic were captured in the last semester examination records of the school, InterSociety said the purpose of its petition was to ensure that the right things were done, noting that some students who complained about the irregularities and recklessness were being victimised by the school authorities. “Just two days ago, they were called and invited by the school security authorities to come and defend the letter InterSociety wrote to the school and defend their involvement over same. “The students also informed InterSociety that their names have been forwarded to the School’s Anti-Cult Brigade to be treated as common criminals and cultists. “As a matter of fact, they have gone into hiding; operating amorphously to avoid being physically assaulted and held captive. Their state of mind is also psychologically battered leading to mental torture,”InterSociety said. InterSociety said, “We regard these approaches as very uncalled for, reprehensible, despicable and condemnable. “The school must not be an outlaw and dangle with the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 particularly its Section 35 (personal liberty), 36 (fair hearing) and 39 (freedom of expression). “Your school must also understand that the engine room of the corporate social responsibilities, which it is a party to; is founded on human rights. Students who complain of certain anomalies through duly constituted processes are not only sticklers of due process, but also entitled to fair hearing and free speech or expression. “It saddens our heart that till date no reasonable investigation over the students’ complaints has been commenced and concluded by the school authorities. It further submitted that “As for the referenced Head of Department, who was newly elevated to the academic rank of Deanship, we demand that she should be called to order and compelled to revisit the issue. As we have earlier demanded, no student of the referenced department should be punished or maltreated over the issue. It noted that“The students’ assertion that the lecturers that handled the referenced courses and exams should be compelled to tender their raw result score sheets for the purpose of verification should be commended and heeded. In his reaction, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Professor Godwin Onu, said he had constituted a committee to investigate the matter, adding it was the work of bad people working to paint the polytechnic black in the eyes of the public. source - PUNCH |

Buhari's first blunder. President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja directed the central command of the military to relocate to Maiduguri, Borno, to intensify the fight against Boko Haram insurgency. Buhari, who gave the directive in his address after his inauguration, said it was impossible to achieve victory against the insurgents if the command continued to operate from Abuja. He said that the command center would relocate and remain in Maiduguri until the insurgents were subdued. No where in the History of world military History will the military central command be located right in the combat zone it is the height of unprofessional-ism which is about to force me to revisit the issue of Buhari certificate scandal. let us use the United state of America model as a case study . Military Central command are non combatants they are not infantry units but expertise from various field of course Structure Central Command headquarters staff directorates include personnel, intelligence, operations, logistics, plans & policy, information systems, training & exercises, and resources, and other functions. The intelligence section is known as Joint Intelligence Center, Central Command, or JICCENT, which serves as a Joint Intelligence Center for the co-ordination of intelligence. Under the intelligence directorate, there are several divisions In the United State the Central Military Command directs four "service component commands" and one subordinate unified command and no fighting units directly subordinate to it: The United States Army Central (USARCENT), and the United States Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT), both headquartered at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, the U.S. Marine Forces Central Command (USMARCENT), headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida and the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (USNAVCENT), headquartered at Naval Support Activity Bahrain in the Kingdom of Bahrain. MacDill Air Force Base also hosts a Sub-unified command called the Special Operations Command Central (USSOCCENT). In 1983, U.S. Military Central Command was established to succeed the Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force, formed at MacDill AFB, Florida on 1 March 1980, to handle US national security interests in Southwest Asia, Central Asia and the Persian G The USA Central Military Command main headquarters is located at MacDill Air Force Base, in Tampa, Florida. A forward headquarters was established in 2002 at Camp As Sayliyah in Doha, Qatar, which in 2009 transitioned to a forward headquarters at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar to serve American strategic interests interest in the following countries as the Area of Responsibilty. Area of Responsibility Countries for USA Central Military Command Located in Mac Dill Air force Base in Tampa Florida.. Afghanistan Bahrain Egypt Iraq Jordan Kazakhstan Kuwait Kyrgyzstan Lebanon Oman Pakistan Qatar Saudi Arabia Tajikistan Turkmenistan U.A.E. Uzbekistan Yemen Tactically its a great Blunder for Mr Buhari to relocated the Military Central command right into sambisa forest when he knew quite well that these people are non combatants they are not infantry soldiers and their area of responsibilty covers a wider area than just boko haram. they monitor , deploy and protect both Nigeria air land and water from both internal and external aggression. Relocating Nigeria military Central Command to frontline war zone is the most senseless decision any president have ever taken and such action is capable of endangering Nigeria external security an outside force may invade the nation of Nigeria in time like these.. This wrong decision calls for us to revisit Buhari certificate scandal and how he come about his title of Major General when he is incapable of simple kindergarten Military Decision Ifeduba ThankGod T ( political Analyst from Anambra state) |

A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands. Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile: my sweetie, could you give your mum one of your two apples? The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other. The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment. Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum,and said: mummy, here you are. This is the sweeter one. No matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always delay judgement. Give others the privelege to explain themselves. What you see may not be the reality. My friend's 10 year Marriage is about to collapse. His, my friend's genotype is AA and his wife's genotype is AS but their 4 year old daughter has been confirmed to have SS genotype by not less than 4 different medical experts. He confronted the wife and accused her of infidelity but she vehemently denied having any affair with another man. In other to prove her wrong, my friend subjected the little girl to a paternity test and there he got the shock of his life - the result showed he actually is the father of the girl. At first he accused the doctor of compromise because he is their family doctor and somehow relates to the wife. He then decided to go to another hospital to prove the paternity of the girl child there and then he got another shocker - the first result was actually correct. As It stands, my friend has consulted more than five other doctors outside the state of his residence and all Confirmed that the girl's genotype is SS and he actually is the father of the child despite his and the wife's genotype being as stated above. Even the doctor's are confused by the results as it negate conventional medical norm. My question now is, experts in the house, is there anything that can lead to such unconventional biological flaw? Under what condition can AS and AA couple have an SS child? Can mutation lead to such condition? My friend insists on divorce because he doesn't believe the wife. Should he go ahead based on what we all know about genotype? Please I need matured advice on this. This is a REAL LIFE SITUATION AND NO FICTION. I WOULD HAVE MENTIONED NAMES AND ADDRESS OF THE COUPLE BUT I DON'T HAVE THEIR PERMISSION YET. THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT HERE IN PORT HARCOURT OLD GRA WE'RE LIVING |
It’s a conflict that comes up in almost every relationship that has managed to last for a year or two (or maybe even just a few months). It causes tension, fights, and hurt feelings. Often both partners feel misunderstood and frustrated. Regardless of their satisfaction level, most couples will eventually have some conflict regarding s*x. Research shows that one of the most common fights couples have centers around s*xual frequency or how often the couple is engaging in s*xual intimacy. Stereotypically this involves a male partner seeking higher frequency than his female counterpart but this is not always the case. Regardless, unmet expectations in the bedroom can trickle over and cause communication problems, a lack of emotional connection, and general instability in the relationship. So how do you counter such negativity? What is the right amount of s*x? Here are some general thoughts to help make sure this issue doesn’t undermine the other parts of your relationship. How much s*x should a couple have? The right answer to this question is that there is no “right amount.” Every couple is different and, more importantly, every person encounters changing life circumstances due to illness, careers, and children (among many other things) that will interact with s*xual desire and availability. There may be times in a couple’s life where having s*x every day would be perfectly possible while at other times it would be a logistical impossibility. Research shows that an “average” couple generally has s*x about 2-3 times per week. However, if you’re worried that you’re under this average I would encourage you to think about your intimacy over the course of several weeks or even several months. Again, every couple will have good and bad weeks in terms of intimacy frequency and there is no magic number that couples need to hit to be “healthy”. How do you avoid negative conflict about s*xual intimacy? For the partner wanting more: Understand intimacy is a two-way street. s*x obviously involves two people. It is very clear from research that s*x is more fulfilling, enjoyable, and satisfying if both partners have a desire for that intimacy. If you are the partner who wants to have s*x more regularly, realize that having s*x every day may not be the enjoyable experience you think it will be if your partner’s desire does not match your own. Be okay with delaying intimacy if your partner isn’t in the mood and avoid taking this as a personal rejection. For the partner wanting less: Understand that your partner is likely seeking connection, not physical gratification. Often the person who wants less s*x views their partner as s*x crazed and overly focused on the physical element of the relationship. It can feel like this is all your partner cares about. It is important for the person desiring less s*x to realize that attempts to engage in s*x are one of the best signs of a healthy relationship and are often coming from a desire for both physical and emotional connection. In our modern world there are plenty of places that people can turn to (online or otherwise) if they are only seeking personal gratification. Your partner’s attempts to be intimate are likely coming from a loving place and a desire to be intimate with you. Treat such attempts as such and be careful about how your reaction might be overly negative or feel rejecting to your partner. For both partners: Talk about the taboo. Even among married couples who have been sexually intimate for many years, s*x can be a taboo topic. In order to engage in healthy communication it is vital that such couples bring issues related to s*x out in the open. If one partner wants to become intimate and the other doesn’t, talk about a “rain check” and have the partner who isn’t in the mood explain clearly why. While it may not sound romantic, scheduling intimacy can be a very practical and useful thing for many couples (especially those with children). Schedule that rain check for the next day and then spend the day flirting and teasing each other. Make it something you both look forward too. Another option may be to take turns being in “charge” of planning and initiating intimacy. Above all else, talk about intimacy and s*x. www.informationng.com/?p=291111 |

In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.” “Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?” The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.” The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.” The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.” The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.” “Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.” The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?” The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.” Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.” To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.” |
My friend has found himself in a dilemma and he needs help. After a long search for a ‘suitable’ woman to marry, he finally found one, a sales representative to a company in Yenogoa, who he met in Federal Inland Revenue office as they came for official purposes. They got talking since January and he is now convinced he should marry her. So many things will happen at times and people will think it is film. This is not film. This is real. It happened. As he sat with this babe in a bar at Aguleri Junction last weekend, happy and smiling, one man who sat opposite them kept looking at him with pity. He tried to avoid the man but the more he tried to avoid him and play with his woman, the more the man looked at him as someone entering the den of lions. Then he asked the man in Igbo, Nwokem, aghotarom udi anya ina ele mu na my babe. Odikwa na mma? (Sir, I don’t understand why you are looking at us like that. Is everything alright?) The man responds in Igbo, casually and carelessly as he is leaving the bar. Mmadu kulu agwo na agaghari, inwekwelu nna? (A man will be moving round with a snake, do you have a father?) This guy is speechless as his desire to take anything has evaporated. His babe, who is not Igbo, didn’t hear what they said but from his countenance, she is sure something is wrong. Now a lot of things started to click in his brain. He lives in a bungalow, with his boys. Ever since they packed in there, they have never encountered any snake invasion. But since this babe started coming, in fact, each weekend she visited, they had issue with snakes. Some they will kill and some will escape. He never read any meaning to it until he encountered the strange man. The encounter with the strange man forces him to start making inquiries about his wife to be, something he never wanted to do. Now that is the dilemma, one minister to another psychic is confirming to him that the babe has a strong link with the ‘world of snakes’ (Whatever that means). She is a woman with a good heart, who will make a good wife, but that she cannot control herself and actions, when powers from this other world, decide to show themselves. Would you advise him to proceed with this marriage, the only woman he ever loved, or would you rather advise him to look for another. Now that he knows something about the snake invasions, he has instructed his boys to stop chasing the snakes when they come. Remarkably, these snakes come only when the babe is visiting. When she leaves, they will see no snakes. He has not told his boys anything and even the girl, he has not told her that he now knows about the snakes. My guy is really in a dilemma. What would you have him do? |
