MotoringNigeria:
You know you're really hilarious.
I didn't reply you cos apparently you took d whole thing from fun to personal but lemme burst your bubble.
I really don't ve to prove anything to you but to show you that I knew this, go through my "pictures of the day" posts, I posted the picture of one right here in lagos nigeria also to be precise the top speed is 190km/hr.
Am sure Whizpeter can testify although I still don't get why he used the word "vintage"...lol
I don't understand how it got personal. I though it was still classical....

You asked the whole world a question and on the same spirit, I asked you another similar question.

We are all here to learn and catch fun but if you want it to get physical or personal, let's meet at oshodi under bridge at midnight today...caveat...come with enough bandages and a stretcher. ..

Lol....pun intended
Car TalkRe: Pls Help,they Say I Can't Use Tinted Windows,even Tho I Have Paid For D Permit by Denn(m): 11:12am On Jul 03, 2015
How do you determine a tint from a factory?

Which section of the law states explicitly that the tint must be 'factory tinted'?

So much misinformation.

Download the law and read it.

Totally know this one! I've got a soft spot for cars of this era...especially those with some racing pedigree. I'll try not to blurt it out though wink
Thanks for coming in to rescuse MotoringNigeria.

Further tips: it has a 7.1 L straight 6 engine with a supercharger. Top speed was 190km per hr and was the fastest car during its era.

I fixed my leaking Silencer and I noticed the water consumption has reduced, so im guessing it myt be the leaking exhaust that has been consuming my fuel and water
How will exhaust consume radiator coolant? Bluetooth or WiFi?

Car TalkRe: Locations Of All NL Mechanics (no Kazeem) by Denn(m): 6:36am On Jul 02, 2015
This discrimination against 'kazeem' gives me worry.

Our roadside mechanics might not be as schooled as we are or follow the latest mechanical trends but we can not totally write them off.

We have artisans and great innovators amongst them.

The average 'oyinbo' mechanic has access to genuine parts and diagnostic tools. He is possibly a dealership trained technician in his younger years and has access to the proper tools.

How many oyinbo panel beaters can fabricate a vehicle fender from a sheet of metal? What they do is just buy a new fender for less than 50 USD and bolt it onto place.

How many oyinbo 'rewire' can troubleshoot a wire connection using nothing but a tester (bulb and wire on a screwdriver) instead of simply replacing the harness.

Removing thermostats is just an unfortunate attempt to resolve or prevent an overheating condition. If they really had the proper technical education, they won't.

Just because we know that 20w50 is not the master oil for all cars or thermostat removal is a sin does not make us gods and them demons.

How many of us can do the really dirty work? Like removing an engine with nothing but your spanners and your physical muscle. Oyinbo will use a crane while sipping his morning coffee.

How many of us can try changing the head gasket of an 8 cylinder engine at noon in the open sun whilst changing oil on a celica, removing the rear struts of a pick up, 'flying' a bike to ladipo market to buy a transmission and still attending to a new Nairaland customer who wants to lecture on why abro atf is not an atf.

The day your fake brake pad decides to give way on lagos to Benin road, you will thank God we still have kazeems.

Let's honour them for being there and work on creating sensitization on modern technical practices.

I respect my kazeem.
Car TalkRe: Help, My Radiator Uses Water Almost Everday by Denn(m): 6:21pm On Jun 30, 2015
There is a leak.

Vapour or fluid escapes.

Possible points are worn radiator caps, hoses, joints, radiator fins and gaskets.

The whole system must be sealed and leak proof

If you can afford a 150k repair bill, then go ahead.

Same applies to vehicles like lexus GX470, merc G wagen, BMW X6.

Are there any Nigerian cars?
Yes.

Nigerian in this context meant cars used commonly in Nigeria. Cars the average old Nigerian resident would recognise. Same as the way an average old American would recognise the Cadillac.
Car TalkRe: Meet The World's Safest Car Designed In Libya By Muammar Gaddafi by Denn(m): 8:58am On Jun 29, 2015
Whizpeter:
So something good actually came out from Gaddafihuh I love the design of the car tho...
A lot of good came from him.

He was the African fly that kept buzzing in the ears of the western masters. He gave them valid sleepless nights and was financially independent.

It is unfortunate that propaganda and the West media fanned embers against him.

He has gone but Libya is still in chaos.

He should be regarded as one of the best African heroes ever...on the same list as jaja of opobo, Nelson Mandela and chaka of zulu.

The average libyan had a higher social standard of living than the average American when he was around.

This car would have sold for dirt cheap in Libya if it was manufactured when he was alive.

INTRODUCTION.

Luitours Global Int'l Ltd is a rapid growing urban transport firm, delivering best inter-city and inter-state commute service within and outside Asaba metropolis. Luxitours Global Int'l Ltd has within one year and three months of operation, gained massive acceptance and patronage, making it undeniably a top player in the transport sector in delta state.

Earlier last month, after series of thorough research for a better way to improve Our cab business here in Asaba, We finally decided to equip some of Our cabs with the Taxi Rooftop Led Display Advertising Screens. We started off with the project immediately and by the Grace of God, the project came out to be a success and was unveiled yesterday the 27th of June 2015. Below are some pictures, Please Kindly review and drop your opinion. Thanks
Nice business concept.

Consider placing a phone number on the rear bumper....Bold. If you can afford the 0700 or 0800 series, better...maybe 0700-ASABA-CAB or something more memorable.

Happy profit making

New coil & carburetor are needed. I guess the one there is the one that came with the vehicle when you bought it from the previous owner.
I have an extra coil....The extra came with the car.

In addition, I have thoughts of getting new carb kits to rebuild instead of getting a whole new carb. I don't mind though if the price is right.

Engine removed to fix clutch plate.

Exhaust rusts were noticed.

We tried getting a new exhaust but couldn't. Someone had in akilo street, ogba but was told he had travelled back to the east.

We resorted to repairing the old exhaust

Why would you prefer to order parts for a German car from the United States, as opposed to the United Kingdom or Europe?? huh

These parts are exported to the US, and cost more to buy from there, due to seller mark-up and import duty. They are much cheaper to purchase from the UK.

Still, it's your choice and money. *shrugs*.
Sourcing locally now. Some sellers still have the parts in Nigeria if we search properly.

Thanks
