Where are those physics' major when you need them? Expatiation needed. |
Delafruita:If it is removed gunk that started the leak, I doubt changing oil will stop it. The engine is possibly now 'clean'. Start from the top....change to a thicker oil grade, then do a compression test, then check valve seals. |
Possible your engine had gunk build up which was cleaned off by the detergents in the new oil. Oil now seeps past cracks initially blocked by old sludge. So many issues can cause blue smoke. Valve seals to rings to poor oil quality. Is there a garage you can do a compression test? Can your mechanic check on the seals? Rings should be the last option IMHO. If you are changing rings, don't go the made in China route. It is cheaper to just throw the cash and old engine in a nearby lagoon. Get OEM |
ogawisdom:A goat is better than a spiritual zombie who believes all his problems came from his village. Let me guess, you need oil changes because your village witches have corrupted the new one you added some months ago? Don't derail with your incantations please. |
Siena:I think the op has been advised by a mechanic to fix the car. 'Just get a car body' would have been the suggestion. The catch unfortunately is that once the op starts, he would find out it is cheaper to buy a used car. By then the project would have been financially committed to and the mechanic would have bought a used golf mk 2 from the profits |
ogawisdom:Your post is absurd.... Do you have a spiritualist on your speed dial you would want to recommend? And what are the fees? You sound like you relish the event so much you had to recap it. Are you a Nollywood script writer? And not trying to sound harsh, I think you should wait till your sister dies before you mourn. You can't recommend a mourning calendar for a third party. Gosh |
nurey:i will still win without any modification to stock... race track not yet built and you are already giving excuses.....yawns....as usual |
a race track to visit on weekends...do drag racing with a couple of mouthers like nurey, coldplay007, etc. |
May God grant you the fortitude to bear the loss. Analysis of damage: Body shell and structure. Write off Wheels. No longer safe for use. Dents on rims noticeable. Engine. Structural damage highly probable due to high impact during accident. Possible salvage but needs detailed check. Interior. Seat frames deformed. Dashboard damaged. Airbags deployed. Possible salvage of knobs, switches and dials. Maybe radio. Others not likely. Overall, vehicle not fit for use as a transplant. Advice: sell off as a complete scrap. Average of N50,000. Funds to be used for repair could be used in getting a cheaper alternative. (N400k will get a good used car). Regards |
Speedometers on cars might not be fully accurate. Just did a lap along Abeokuta expressway. I used a GPS speedometer on my Android. Whilst my car speedo was recording above 180, the GPS showed 174 km/hr Covered 32 km in 18 minutes. Vehicle used is a 1994 Honda Accord Europe version aka bullet. Its a 4 cylinder. Average speed is 109km and includes intra township drive

Sheyihman:How many watermelons will fill a pick up? What is the cost of a pick up laden with water melon from say iseyin to ketu? Which transporter takes 3k for transporting 1800 water melons. Do you realise that water melon is heavy and takes space? Obviously, your transport cost does not involve your movement of your self and inputs to the farm in 3 months |
2016 model is coming out in few months.... Get that Oops...its already out
|
sewentybaba:Your car is obd 1. Use a jumper pin to get the abs code. You can Google how to use jumper pin to get Honda obd 1 codes. The connector should be on the right front passenger well. Its a blue connector. Under the dash. Use an office pin to jump the connector and study the abs light. It will give a series of flashes. Read more about this in Google. NB. Honda bullet abs is a complete system....not just one part. Sensors, pump, and some other units (forgotten the name) Get the code first before throwing parts |
Which transport medium will move 1800 watermelon balls for N3000? To which market? How much is the cost of fuelling a Mazda B1000 pick up (people who really sell watermelon would be familiar with this vehicle) from your farm to ANY market. That 32k budget would be spent on transport alone without battling an eyelid....except you plant inside the market |
rainmaker12:You did around 160 to 177 km per hr. (Around 110mph) A V6 would do better. However, try to use a GPS speedometer app next time. It is safer and gives accurate results. |
gmyguy:Possible with a veyron or lambo or a mustang.... Using a salvage Camry on the short distances in between roundabouts and tolls and intersections is less likely |
banky3w:I will gladly accept your challenge of a 120kmph journey avg for 3 minutes....I will use my 1977 model Mercedes Benz 200 W123. My question is will you accept my challenge to do 200kmph for 5 minutes in your Camry? |
banky3w:I partially like your sense of humor...its made in china. Having a BMW gift from a daddy is a blessing....don't you wish to be able to do that for your child? Short speed bursts up to and above 200 is possible in Nigeria just before the next pot hole or uneven patch. Doing it on avg for stretch of above 10 kilometers seem 'miraculous'. That's my surmise. 200kmph for 2 minutes equal a total road lenght of almost 7 kilometres... In Nigeria. You were reminded to slow down, it could have continued way over 10 kilometers as you were travelling at 55 metres per second. 55 friggin metres of Nigerian road every second. Think about it. You were covering 100 metres in less than 2 seconds. Bolt covers that distance in 9.58 seconds. Five times faster than Bolt. Almost 10 kilometers non stop....no pause....no slow down....flat off...NIGERIA Happy Sunday... |
tunergy:Am assuming you read his post when he wrote: "Did a 200km/hr on abj-kd expressway in a Toyota camry 2003 while DRAGGING with a Range Rover Sport. " Keyword was drag and its nigerianized meaning is to compete. I would challenge the op to record a YouTube video of him doing an avg of 200kmph with the Camry for a minimum of 5 minutes. If the 'tiny light' said he maintained an avg of 200kmph on a trip in Nigeria, I would say he lied....except its a Camry on a dyno...tied down of course |
@ lomomike we all know the dude is lying. Consistently doing a 200kmph on nigerian roads in a Camry is just an ego-boosting fictional write up. Beating a supercharged range on the same road patch is even more worthy of a bed time story. Final punch is the reported swerve. A kiss with a pot hole in a Camry at 200kmph is guaranteed to be 'eventful' I don't comment much on this thread again because i have noticed a lot of 'stories'. NB: brief speed bursts up to 200kmph is totally different from averaging 200kmph on a trip. |
It is possible to convert. The question is if you are ready for the project. Its not just about having money for parts...the technical understanding is critical. First tell us about the car in question,...make and model and year. Wiring , control units, vacuum lines, coolant lines etc... Don't think of it being impossible....think of how to make it possible then weigh the cost against benefit |
Hello team |
GAZZUZZ:Read the post well.... He said he fixed a silencer leak....not a blown head gasket. Kindly explain more on how a leaking exhaust pipe can cause a radiator leak. Since we are speaking in pictures, this is a 'silencer'
|
abatically:Correct. You just saved MotoringNigeria a beating under oshodi bridge this night. He owes you a dozen bottles of what ever drink you take |
