Just in case ... You know the rest. ...But I was almost tempted to believe it is real, then I paused and behold there wasn't T.A. Orji's name. ... For I dare to challenge any list of corrupt politician that omits Orji's name. Wait a minute. How comes they are all APC governors?. . . My Verdict: I HEARBY DECLARE THIS EVIDENCE NULL AND VOID for it is below every reasonable and unreasonable doubt. |

Liverpoolfc manager Brendan Rogers has expressed his delight on English born Nigerian player, Jordon Ashley Femi Ibe. He was speaking after the club's latest preseason against Malaysia side. This was what he about Ibe: "He’s been outstanding since he's been out here and he's staken a real claim to start the season in the team. [It was a] wonderful goal, I thought he was a threat all night with his pace, his quality and it was wonderful finish cutting inside and a great strike. He was very good and like I say he has been working very hard"

The militant group, Boko Haram, is planning to
bomb the homes of VIPs, and not the residence of
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the VP’s office said
Thursday.
The clarification came after media reports quoted
the presidency’s initial claim that Mr. Osinbajo’s
home was targeted.
The vice president’s spokesperson, Laolu Akande,
said that claim, sourced by journalists from the
text of a press briefing after Thursday’s National
Economic Council, was a typographical error.
“A press briefing note circulated today by the
Secretariat of the National Economic Council,
NEC, contains a typo on the very last line of the
last paragraph.
“That paragraph should read ‘The Vice President
also disclosed that security reports has it that
scavengers are now being prepared by insurgents
to dump refuse laden with bombs in the houses
of VIPs’.
“The last line erroneously says ‘in the house of the
Vice President’,” Mr. Akande said in a statement
after the media reports.
The earlier text said intelligence had confirmed
that Mr. Osinbajo’s residence was being targeted
for bombing.
During Mr. Osinbajo’s recent tour of Adamawa
and Borno states, two suicide bombers had blown
themselves up outside a village in Maiduguri while
he was in Borno.

Sunday Oliseh, the new coach of Nigeria has returned to his base in Belgium. A Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) spokesman said Oliseh “has gone back but temporarily. He hasn’t gone finally because you know we have a game against Tanzania very soon and most of our players are in Europe.” This has kicked off a debate among Nigerian fans around why the coach should not be based in Nigeria, especially as his remit includes overseeing the development of the game and coaching in the country. The first thing is that Oliseh will be judged on how well the national team performs. So that should be his first piority. The overwhelming majority of the squad is based in Europe. It takes an incredible suspension of rational thinking to want the coach to be based in Nigeria, while practically all his players are based in Europe. Some have argued that he needs to live in Nigeria to be able to find good players in the domestic league. But most half decent domestic league players sign for foreign clubs before they are good enough for international duty. Oliseh should not be in Nigeria just to find the odd player in the local league that may be good enough for the national team. That’s what his assistants should be doing. A national team coach is meant to watch his players performing in their league matches as many times as possible. If most of your players are in Europe, it is a logistical nightmare operating out of Nigeria. Previous coaches have tended to invite players to the national team training camp “to see what they can do”. This is wrong. The coach should watch them performing for their clubs, monitor their form, and then decide whether they are worthy of a call up. The national team would benefit from regular training camps and get-together sessions during international breaks when Nigeria does not have a match. This should help the team gel and contribute towards building team chemistry. It is a lot easier to have these in Europe, considering where most of our players are based. Oliseh should use his European contacts to secure a training base for the team in, perhaps, Belgium. This would go a long way in achieving the objective of getting the “Super Eagles” to play as a team and not as individuals, which he set out when he was appointed. |
azimibraun:You have said it all. And so it is in every sector of this our nation. The most annoying problem is that when you choose to be different, they call you names. This is the toughest nation for a morally principled person to survive in |
themilanway:Oga! Achievement or no achievement is not the issue here. The issue is Buhari is now the president. We don't need any certificate now. Why is he and his party men trying to fool Nigerians? The issue is gone, let him concentrate and perform his duties. There are a lot of things that need immediate and serious attention not none-existing certificate. APC should forget about this their propaganda of political weapon. It has expired. |
PEREP:M Moheat:these are the reasons why Nigeria might never get better: disgusting sentiments. A refinery is yet to start function, and you all are killing yourselves on who should or shouldn't take the glory, while the politicians keep taking advantage of your stupid sentiment that has made you all to be permanently ignorant of your rights |
