Windows 8 is the worst OS by Microsoft and I think vista is even slightly better. It was developed to sell their useless surface tablet no one is buying. The file system is totally different - GPT rather than the usual MBR. So, it's impossible for you to use any other windows os to remove it. Ms is launching windows 10 any moment from now, that's an evidence of how hopeless win 8 is.

I can't blame it on Nairaland because its not only Nairaland i open on my browser, the virus might have as well found its way from another site.

Not true denzel.....I've formatted my system(windows7) several times and each time I do that, I simply go to C: drive, "windows old" and copy my files..... BTW, I'm not talking about an Upgrade here.......

You go and get a windows 7 OS cd, insert it in cd drive and boot with it and do a clean install come and tell me if you see any windows old.
