I dont think that people have a kind of attitude that they constantly use on everyone they come across. I for example don't take BS from anybody but I take much more where taking BS can be gainful.

So, I think beautiful people may be sentimentally tagged attitudinal or their beauty may have been a reason they have the attitude. They may have met some downright rude individuals. The attitude may be their way of playing safe.

I think the more beautiful a lady is the more the probability of having spoken to more men and the increased possibility of meeting the rude ones.

So, if you comes across any like that, she may just be acting to keep you at bay-- she becomes attitudinal but you'll see, if you look deeper that she actually has friends or people who don't see that attitude.

The complexity and processes going on both on the surface and beneath the earth are enough to know it requires the working of a supreme being. Not even talking about other planets. Although science try as much as possible to give explanations for all the processes but it can't still explain where the original material for the big bang came from.

I am a geologist...and I believe in God. I remember my days in Ife during the history of the earth lesson. The lecturer bamboozed us with so many scientific theories and as a green horn with religious mind, I started throwing questions at the guy. When he got tired of my questions, he said I was not asking scientific questions

They don't actually teach us not to believe in God, but they definitely don't believe in the notion that the universe was created by a supernatural being somewhere. I remember GEO101 and this was like our 1st adventure into the creation of the universe. When it came to the discussion point, we had this SU lady with a very strong igbo accent and she challenged the professor saying the world was created by God in 6 days and that we were committing a sin by saying otherwise. The professor looked like he was going to have a stroke. He was so pissed off that someone had the 3rd world audacity to challenge the fact the the earth was made by a mixture of rocks and gases over a period of millions of years and they got into this unnecessary argument (which the student can never win). Long story short, she failed the class and had to take it again the next year, which sadly added an extra year to her program. The rest of us? well, we learned to keep our religious beliefs out of the lecture theater and behave like God didn't exist, until we left the class.

So, make your own deductions about that. It was pretty weird though. Those professors really didn't believe in the creation of the universe by God and who was I to say otherwise.

what I think of the matter is in relation with what YPP said. In the past, it was normal for women to stay at home. But men over used this power. Many stories abound of 'had I but known' and it would take a high level of silliness to not learn from history. Many women simply got wise, realising the importance of financial independence.

The divorce laws in Nigrtia don't favour women, he could die with his family throwing her out. No life insurance scheme set up for the Children, etc..


Despite these, many women still take their family as priority. They have been able to do both and have done it well.

I actually heard ftom a psychology lecture that the needs of a child at the tender ages are not necessarily to be provided by the mother. Any one can provide the child with those needs. A child needs to be constantly cuddled and anyone- father, mother, nanny could do that. A wise choice in that is what matters.

I think the more important period of life is the one neglected. When a child is reaching puberty and through teenage years is when some mothers think they can now start working when it is actually the time to pay attention and listen to their children's worries.

I agree so much with dayokanu on the need for fathers. I read an article on time magazine long ago about the father who worked so hard and away from home. He retired years later with the hope of going home to rest and live the life only to realise that his children were strangers. They did not know him and he did not know them and could not command any form of respect even though he paid for their living. How much a mother is needed is how much a father is. The role of rearing the Children is a shared responsibility never to be put on the mother alone.

There has to be balance..A parent who can provide the needs of the children can be well respected by them. Giving time to listen to them even after the long hours should be made priority. With this, the long hours may never be a problem.
