Being a Yoruba king is not equal to being a worshipper of Orisha. The Oba was a Muslim and was buried according to Islamic rites. Simples.

MAY Allah forgive his sins and grant him jannah. May the Queen live long.

May Allah bless the Kingdom and Nigeria at large.

Can I possibly be blamed for your dumbness??

I said up to 9yrs. That ur scope is limited to Nigeria shld not be my fault. Ode

SAPEDRO: nine years ke? did u repeat thrice, i think itz six years in skul while others like nurses, pharm, physios spend six years, so i dont knw where u see ur own three years o, hian! not all doctors do this though, but all this small greedy quack doctors telling lies about years since 1756, God will see us, mind you those clamouring for consultant positions will be subjected to further training before they can be one
onagoodday: Did you just say 9yrs....abeg who say make u dey fail...carry ur frustration go one side.

In the path of faith I sought the man
For the sake of man I walked in goodness
The goodness surfaced, it gloomed
From gloom to dim to darkness

In the path of darkness I seek the God
For the sake of Him I seek the man
A man, the teacher heralds
To teach the faith again
A path to God to Glory; herein lies peace, tranquility

it's the average man on the street that suffers this NMA strike most
it doesn't affect the FG, they don't patronise u guyz
it only affects his political career a little
That is why Nigerians should tell the government to be reasonable.

Imagine spending up to 9yrs of your life in medical school onlyto get into a crappy hospital for work with no infrastructure and then have to 'compete' with people who spent three years in training as support staff, to then come ahead asking to boss you, in something they were not trained for?
HealthRe: Why We Can’t Call Off The Strike Because Of Ebola Outbreak – Lagos Medical Docto by deols(f): 6:36am On Jul 26, 2014
The doctors make demands. The government should reason and provide them for the benefit of all.

Doctors work 24/7 taking care of their patients but these patients seem to care less about what happens to those doctors.

In Liberia, the chief doctor in charge of treating people with the Ebola is said to be under treatment for the same ebola virus.

How can a Nigerian doctor, who was never appreciated all the while, go ahead and be involved when all of their demands for better healthcare infrastructure, for remuneration and for the protection of the dignity of their practice have been denied them. The same Nigerian populace, who suffer more from all these should be drumming the need to see to the needs of the doctors into the government's ears but they are too driven by sentiments and their judgemental attitude to see what is really going on.

People are dying in case none is close to you due to these strikes and the doctors have nothing to lose since the private hospitals are owned by them. Nigerians should be asking the government to do what is right!

Nurses, pharmacists etc are not consultants. They are doing almost nothing at the hospitals right now.

The dignity of the great profession must be protected.and Doctors have every right/conscience to do that.

The government has to see reason and the populace need to be reasonable as well.

God bless Nigeria.

The Igbos need not forget. They only need to be wiser.

I assume they should know already, that war is not about who is right but about who is left.

The images bring to mind, half of a yellow sun. Chimamanda is an amazing writer. These pictures are like what I pictured.

When the Doctor helping with most cases is himself being treated, fear go catch people die.

But How did Nigeria allow this to happen. I hope a thorough contact tracing would be done on the Liberian man.

Nigeria always disappointing where it matters most.

tpia1: i have to agree with deols et al on this one.

wouldnt it be flirting if they did what you asked?

would sound like there is an ongoing non-formal relationship.
No. I didnt see it as flirtatious. Sino's poem is very brilliant. I really like it..and I see nothing wrong with tbaba's question. Seems like people dont get it when I am deliberately 'prolonging' some matter.

With all your thoughts muddled up, it seems like u did not understand my post.

You said, women like to hear what they want. All i meant os that, only a silly person accepts what u say when u dont mean it. A wise person can tell that u'r lying or saying what u dont mean. It is as simple as that. There is no step to retrace.

Only a stupid person accepts what u dont mean. Most people know it when u r forming what u r not.

sino: Assalam alaykum, the piece you are about to read was inspired by one of deols post, it is therefore dedicated to her as well as the esteemed Muslimaat of this section.

I hope it resonates with you all, and i pray the effect creates that which would be pleasing to the soul.

Allah's pleasure should always be sought, He is the Comforter, and the Cherisher of His beloved.

The Muslimah

Normally, I wouldn't do this,
Perhaps, I should face my work & mind my biz
But I’ve come to know you
I have always known you all my life
The Muslimah, my sister, my pride

How can I be gleeful, when you hurt?
Your tears shed never goes without thought
I dare not look away when you are down,
I have been trained to comfort, and treat you like the queen you really worth

I should never be harsh, nor should I be too docile
I should always be just, and fear Allah in my dealings with you
For If I don't, then I have failed, and I fear Allah's rancour on my soul

When I think of your boldness, I remember ibnata Imrana, the mother of Isa alayhi salama
When the Angel came bringing glad tidings
She was bold, an epitome of righteousness
How can I give birth to a child?
No man has ever touched me, she charged
But such is the way of Allah, The Supreme, The Sublime

And when I see your steadfastness, I remember Sumayah, the first martyr
She gave her life for the deen, she never learnt about Janah,
She only surrendered to the will of Allah
Is Allah not the only one that can reward such a sacrifice?

And when I witness your love for Allah,
I remember the wife of Firaun
Who gave up the dunya for the akhira
Build for me a home in Jannah
And save me from kufr were her lofty words
Words that resounds at every corner of the world and shall remain so till the end of time

These were the iconic women of the past,
And you are the icon of our time
The generation behind thee shall learn
Learn of your boldness and your righteousness,
Learn of your steadfastness and your ultimate love for your Creator.

I am always proud of you
Any day, anytime and anywhere
And so thus I plead,
Never be fooled by the fleeting world's lure
Nor the sweet whispers from the lips of callers impure
You shall remain my sister, the pride of the Ummah
And I'll continue to love you for the sake of Allah
This is one of the most beautiful things I have read. Thank you smiley

onegig: Very noble ideals my only sincere problem with people with this "love conquers everything" thoughts is that they are sometimes too far away from reality. I just hope and pray you can match the thoughts with equal actions. Amin
If he says it with this much dedication, practicing it would not be a problem.

People I have problems with are the 'idealists' who are too comfortable with what position they think the world is and fail to dream of a better world. Your dreams are what you become. If you dont ever dream big, you cant make it big.
Fulaman198 is more likely to be good to his wife because he has the thoughts and can easily make it happen than some1 who never thought that, ideal.

And dreaming his way is very different from being unrealistic.

onegig: No one is, That's why you "close your eyes" once you have chosen the best available and accept that person as the perfect. Even if you meet Miss world(just as example) later, your spouse still remains that perfect choice.

You have no right to think otherwise. If however that's how some people think then i am sorry. They have a long way to go and marriage actually is not for them. They can as well work out signing yearly contracts only to be extended if they don't meet their ideal spouse. Should work out well for them.
I didnt understand you at first but I must say that this makes much sense.

A man is the protector. But some men here just can't believe that fulaman wants to protect his bride to that extent. How else is the protection done, I wonder.

onegig: Comes along? After marriage? You still looking outside after you chose the best available material?

Choosing the best available material maybe true to an extent for the non adventurous sisters coupled with the biological time ticking but for a guy? He has no reason to complain.
Not even the women have that excuse. If u are not yet 40, there is no cause for alarm grin

Not that I am encouraging giving birth late, as it carries several risks, but people over emphasise the biological clock.

I think many Muslims marry because they want to have sex. Since they cant get it outside marriage, they run into it. Gbam and after see finish, wahala starts.
