Chairman
Dr. Olaokun Soyinka is a Public Health Physician. He was the Commissioner for Health, Ogun State from 2011-2015. As Commissioner, he gained extensive experience in Healthcare Finance, Health Insurance and Healthcare Policy Implementation. He is medical doctor with experience in Public Health, Primary Health Care, Cardiology, General Practice and healthcare communications. Dr Soyinka attended Government College Ibadan, and completed his secondary education at Taunton School in Somerset, UK. After graduating from St Thomas’ Hospital medical school in London, he trained as a GP and also developed a special interest in Cardiology. His interest in this field led to his founding of the British Journal of Cardiology. Moving to Nigeria, Dr Soyinka worked initially as a public health and medical communications consultant. He worked in HIV/AIDS, healthcare policy development and health system strengthening, consulting mainly for bilateral and multilateral agencies incuding the UN. He then worked as Project Coordinator for the Nigerian Evidence-based Healthcare Initiative, a project aimed at better use of data in policy making and healthcare planning, supported by the Canadian International Development Agency an IDRC. In 2008, He was appointed to the post of Health Promotion Officer at the WHO country office where he served for three years until he left to servebefore taking up the appointment in Ogun State. He is a passionate advocate for Universal Health Coverage and has a special interest in the role of Telemedicine and e-health in healthcare delivery. Dr Soyinka is married with children and plays golf and the guitar – neither as well as he would like

In 1996 three committed and pioneering doctors joined forces to set up the first ever incorporated Health Management Organisation (HMO) in the country. Dr Ladi Awosika, Dr Ebun Sonaiya and Dr Femi Ogunbekun had jointly, with other medical practitioners, also founded the Guild of Medical Directors (GMD) seven years earlier, to recognise medicine as a business. During his 8-year stint, he served and headed various positions in the bank, such as Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, Corporate Services and Banking Operations. He is the President/CEO of Superflux International Limited, the foremost security printing firm in Nigeria, providing specialist secure print solutions to Sub-Saharan Africa.

Tokunbo is a consummate entrepreneur with business interest and strategic investment in choice sectors spanning: agro-allied, steel, manufacturing, logistics and real estate. A publisher, notable knowledge contributor and philanthropist, Tokunbo is happily married with three children.

Mr Olusiji Ayodele Ijogun graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Lagos in 1980. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Cost and Management Accountants UK and Institute of Chartered Accountants Nigeria. He joined UAC of Nigeria PLC in 1981 and held various management positions until 1992 when he was appointed the Senior Group Manager, Unilever Audit with responsibility of management audit and evaluation of internal controls of Unilever companies in West Africa.

He was one of the first expatriates seconded to Egypt after Unilever acquisition of Parfico SAE to curtail Procter & Gamble’s aggression in the Middle East in 1993. He eventually became the Commercial Director of Lever Egypt with responsibility for accounting, supply chain and logistics management for a 40,000 ton business. He returned to Nigeria in 1997 and was appointed the Group Financial Controller of UAC of Nigeria PLC. He subsequently became the Divisional Managing Director of UACFOODS and Divisional Managing Director of BPP. He was appointed to the Board of UAC as Group Finance Director in year 2000. He left UAC in 2003 and was appointed Group Executive Director responsible for managing the diversified business portfolio of the Honeywell Group. He positioned the Group in fast moving consumer goods market with the setting up of Honeywell Superfine Foods Limited.

He started his own business in consulting, construction, property development and management in 2009. He is currently the CEO of Innodel Consulting and the Chairman of Ackmen Nigeria Limited.
