You got history wrong you shouldn't be handing out lectures. Read the link the author explained it well.

1. The project stared back 2006 with first deadline in 2011. What does advanced countries have to do with this? Lagos state made the deadline.

2. Ok your point be what? Is that why you miss 4 deadlines instead of making 1 reasonable one you can keep.

3. Were the funds stolen and the project on going. The project hasn't reach procurement phase. You making strawmen points. Both projects are on going. Allegations are just allegations.

4. I already posted about project check details on your leisure. I see some grand things like Lekki I'm impressed the foot bridges not so much.
The state government since 2009 has commenced the Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) network, a major component of the Strategic Transport Master Plan (STMP)

MOU was signed in 2006 my friend, Get your facts right, construction started in 2009. My date was off, but construction did not start till 2009.

I'd still love to know what a deep seaport in akwa ibom that doesn't exist and was used to steal funds got to do with a project that's still under construction.

What deep seaport is under construction in akwa ibom? The one under your bed? Do you even mind showing us the construction site, the contract and the contractor.?

Please face the issue and stop bothering me with irrelevant and silly distraction.

Do you believe all of the cash was spent? I have no love for him I've heard stories about him. This reminds me of the light lagos rail since 2011 in that it still hasn't been completed with $1 billion budgeted.

Source: Source: http://venturesafrica.com/december-knocking-where-lagos-light-rail/
1. Lagos Metro construction started in 2012 and this is 2017 so construction is only 5 years old, obviously you know nothing about the project or you just have poor and questionable Arithmetic skills.

It took even many advanced countries ore than a decade to complete theirs. India's is almost 2 decades and still under construction so Lagos can postpone completion as much as they want, fact remains that construction is ongoing non stop.

2. Lagos Metro is the largest public works and construction project in Nigeria and Africa with a 10 lane 54 klm freeway, rail stations, BRT access and metro bridge under construction over the Lagos Lagos.

3. It is silly, ridiculous and absurd to compare a major and on going project with a ghost project in Akwa Ibom that doesn't exist and used to steal funds. Do you lack sense of logical reasoning or you are just incapable of logical comparisons?

Instead to question where your money went, you are questioning Lagos state where they really have an ongoing project that the people of Lagos see under construction everyday and all day.

Instead to ask why Lagos state is constructing 2 deep seaports while your own funds budgeted for ibaka seaport was stolen and ibaka remains a sorry dream and corruption basket.

Sometimes I just wonder about you people and your warped sense of reasoning.

God forbid I reduce myself to your level. So much hate from your choice of words already.

Pls, Learn to be civil. That a people allow you trade around them doesn't mean they trust or love you...Business Is business. Americans have businesses in Iran likewise Iran in America.

They allow you trade for the mutual benefits and in areas they have low comparative advantage or capacity/expertise to do the business

Abeg the ipob-afonja syndrome is what you are exhibiting now. I don't know what that means and I don't care to know. I saw all that from nairaland.

My closes friends are yorubas, I speak the language fluently, I have nothing against them neither do I think anyone has anything against me. So stop this your personal direct gutter words.

I earlier said I made those statements from experience. Permit me to share one with you.

I was attached to work with a recent employed yoruba man! He has never worked with me or even know me from anyway. He went to the HOD to complain that he can't work with me that he sees me as a fraudulent person and the HOD insisted he should work with me as am the only IT person aside him that is my superior. My brother from that day onwards he refused to allow me access to the major system we use for the work but I kept my cool and didn't say a word and even kept going close because I like the fact I have someone to speak the language wit.

Areas he didn't know what to do instead of asking me he will take it to another fellow yoruba guy to do it for him. I still didn't say a word until trouble bursted he was suspended for manipulation of data.

I was asked to review all he has done so far and write a report. When I finished I didn't submit the report immediately, rather called him and asked him if someone else used flash on the system because he initially replied to a query issued him that no one had access aside him.

It was then he remembered his yoruba brother. I sent some spy to dig up the guy that was how we discovered he was the person that alerted the data so his brother will be sacked.

That's when this man opened up on all he has said about me and begged I forgive him. He was sent on suspension while the other guy was sacked.

So the essence of thread like this should be solutions and not increasing the hate and distrust. Pls don't mention me again!
First, show in my post what was not civil? That I said you are paranoid?

Your story doesn't alter my assertions that you can not live peacefully and thrive socially and economically in places where the hosts hate and distrust you.

I also asked you to show us any major or simple event where such distrust or any act of hatred or malicious behavior or atrocity was committed by Yoruba people against your people. since the beginning of Nigeria till today, but you can not and still haven't shown us any proof or evidence that Yoruba people hate you hence the word PARANOIA.

Having spent one year in akwa ibom state and also going to different local govt areas in the state,I must confess akwa ibom has one of the best road network comparable to abuja.......But, the most critical problem for that state is unemployment due to lack of industries in the state......Udom should embark on an aggresive drive to bring investors to akwa ibom state and also laise with neighbouring states on how to fix the federal roads leading to akwa ibom state since the fed govt has refused to do their job.As for the ibaka seaport,do you think Lagos would want to share with any statehuh Knowing fully well that majority of importers are from the south east.
Despite the yearly allocation of several billions of naira for the construction of a proposed greenfield deep seaport at Ibaka in Akwa Ibom State by both the State Government and the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) since 2011, the project has remained elusive, with no evidence of a port being built at the proposed site.

The project is missing in the National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan and in the list of similar projects planned in partnership between the federal government and state government, with expectations of private investors collaborations, investigations by LEADERSHIP have revealed.

The Ibaka Deep Seaport, a project for which the federal ministry of transport, the NPA and the Akwa Ibom State Government have held several workshops and taken commendations at several events is also missing in a maritime and air transport report prepared by Steer Davies Gleave for the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA) hosted by

The African Development Bank.

The study, which was carried out to assess the potential for enhanced private participation in the maritime and air transport sectors in Africa however identified the Lekki Deep Seaport measuring 970m of container berths, 320m dry bulk berth, 1-2 oil berths and located 60km east of Lagos.

The Badagry greefield port, Koko Port and Olokola Port were also listed with their capacity and promoters.

The water at Ibaka is said to have a natural draft of 11 metres, without dredging, making it a huge potential for possible deep seaport construction.

Akwa Ibom State has continued to budget for the port, which Governor Godswill Akpabio said would create employment for 100,000 Nigerians.

The NPA had also told LEADERSHIP in Uyo at the PCC meeting that the deep seaport would be completed in 2015.

When LEADERSHIP visited the proposed site of the deep seaport at Ibaka, there was nothing to show that a seaport was being planned at coastal community.

A lonely dilapidated narrow road, better described as a colonial road leads to Ibaka, from Oron. As early as 2011, the Akwa Ibom State Governor told a Nigeria Ports Consultative Council (PCC) meeting in Uyo that his government had concluded plans to dualise the road.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201312160580.html
Akpabio budgets billions every year for this invisible seaport.

1. Ibaka seaport is not in the FG gazette and there is zero FG budget for it.

Meaning the FG doesn't know anything about this seaport officially

2. Akpabio budgets billions for this bridge every year with not even bush clearing or fence erected.

Meaning Akpabio pockets free billions every year.

That's N64 billion more than Lagos state' budget back in 2012.

Imagine Akwa Ibom with just 5 million people and more money to spend than Lagos state with over 20 million people and still have nothing to show.

Akwa Ibom the richest state in Nigeria with just 5 million people still can not show anything serious beyond roads and mediocre projects.

For almost 8 years under Akpabio, he passed larger budgets than Lagos state, but completed less than 4 projects after a few roads and flyover.

Still a mismanaged state with vision less leaders.

What a waste.

Yoruba by nature don't hate other people and this is the reason why the SW remains the most accommodating region in the country.

I was just waiting for the punchline loaded with ignorance and voila! It's right there at the bottom of the pile of dog-crap! Y'all never disappoint, the greed and Ahitophel nature must peek through and overshadow every seemingly altruistic move.

Well done Op, it's in you!
That punchline can not be ignorance since it's the most logical thing to do based on so many reasons to show your seriousness.

1. Separating from any sovereign entity means your own local and national leaders in state and federal governments demanding referendums and or constitutional amendments to satisfy your need for separations which non of them are doing.

2. Your local and national leaders at this point are totally not interested in such endeavor and have yet to utter anything in favor of any form of separation and in fact, they are against it.

3. There is absolutely no general agreement across all your states, towns and villages regarding such move.

4. Lastly, if you really really hate the country called Nigeria and w'd love not to be part of it, then leave the rest of Nigeria and form a mass exodus back to your towns and villages and have your leaders resign from Nigeria and declare your biafra freedom.

Until you do the above, you are just clowning around, you are not serious or you are as usual playing victim and looking for needless attention.

Personally, I think this biafra and victim mentality thing is a monkey on your back, this is nothing but distraction for you because it's preventing you from focusing, from doing what's necessary to move ahead, it's preventing you from reasoning logically, politically and strategically.

Biafra can not be the only tool in your basket, it can not be your one and only game plan.

You leaders left you hanging and have for decades by not providing any kind of regional goals, regional policies from political to social and economic policies.

You can shout and blame Nigeria and people from other parts of Nigeria for your problems, but your leaders are and have been part of Nigeria and the Nigeria government from day one so when was the last time you asked them what they've done to advance and protect your interests as Nigerians because last time I checked, we've had a president from the SE, a head of state from the SE, a VP from the SE, ambassadors, governors, ministers, agency directors, military leaders and so on so are they not part of Nigeria and he decision making part of the same Nigerian government?

You are here shouting marginalization when in fact your leaders are part of the same government making economic decisions for Nigeria so who is marginalizing who? Are your own leaders not not part of the marginalization and what have you done to them regarding them teaming up with other people to marginalize you?

We keep hearing this argument about the FG not making your region economically viable because of lack of international airport and so on, but fact remains that your leaders have ran the aviation ministry so many times so what have they done to change the status quo in your favor?

Are other states not rolling up their sleeves and building their own airports with their own money? And have you asked your leaders why they are not doing the same thing with your money? No, you have not because the the general mentality and the only reaction in that region by default is to always point fingers at other people beyond your borders and blame them for your own leaders bad leadership, lack of vision and foresight to do what's right for you. It's the general mentality many were raised with so it's always the standard reasoning and answer to everything in Nigeria.

You can not force anything to go your way economically because the natural and good old laws of supply, demand and market decides where to buy, sell and migrate to, not the government or any form of agitation. It's that simple.

Nigeria as a country failed the whole country largely because of corruption, mismanagement and incompetence which leaders and people from every part of the country including yours participated in so playing victim as if you are the only neglected region in Nigeria is just absurd and disingenuous and even the fact that your leaders and state governors collects allocations and taxes on your behalf just like the rest of the country makes it more absurd and disingenuous.

Your region is the only region where leaders are not asked any questions, where demands are not made to do anything for you because the default and mentality in that region is to always look the other way and blame other people for their shortcomings and incompetence.

The same blame other people mentality is an extension of hate, tribalism and sectionalism is what's on display on NL, it's the only reasoning and form of social engagement and discussion you have to offer because this is the mindset and manner of reasoning you were all raised with.

Even if granted biafra, I don't see your challenges going away simply because of this mindset.
