When first world countries and serious developing countries are busy giving grants to students for research, subsidizing education and promoting innovation because they know the everlasting values of education and educated nations, one failure who is unable to pay salaries despite having funds and even being bailed before with huge funds is saying the opposite and proud about it. A governor who can't boost of one achievement except the purchase of a private helicopter (which is still n achievement) is still unashamed to talk. Lucky him that an average Nigeria (which is majority) is uneducated about democracy and ignorant about their rights else he would have been in orange uniform, getting his ugly behind destroyed without differentiating between a yawn or whisper when he fart.
Money from agriculture investments and agro economy means funds and grants for schools, research and innovations and last I checked, this governor invested more in education than any other states in Nigeria and the schools he's building and commissioning all over his state are the best in Nigeria so you are wrong with that flawed assumptions.

This man achieved more than nearly all the states in Nigeria apart from Lagos state and even better than Lagos when you factor in available funds.

This same man you just castigated is doing more than issuing grants and building schools, he's actually sending and funding his own people to the best places and agric power houses in the world for agric.

Nearly half of the state sin Nigeria collected bailout and maybe even your own state, but the man still achieved better than even states that did not.

You are of course free to show us how and where your own state governor funded research, issued grants and promoting innovations which I know you won't do since your own state is doing no such thing.

Please lay off hate and anger and focus on your own state or even show us how your own state is doing better than Osun state.

Osun’s Agric Trainees In Germany Vow To Turn Around Agriculture Business In Osun, Nigeria

*Excited over exposures to new agric. technologies

Exactly three weeks after leaving Osun, Nigeria and arriving in the State of Saxony-Anhalt for their three months intensive training in agriculture and food production technology, beneficiaries of the scheme have expressed high hopes that Nigeria’s fate lies in modern agriculture enterprises.

The beneficiaries, who shared their experiences with a German newspaper A-Z Online revealed how their three weeks already spent in Germany have shown that Nigeria’s economy had refused to grow because of the country’s over-dependence on oil.

The ongoing training is in furtherance of the collaboration between the State Government of Osun and the state of Saxony-Anhalt Germany. ‎

‎The training is in continuation of government’s drive to revolutionise agriculture in the state under the Osun Rural Enterprise and Agriculture Programme (O’REAP) and boost food productions for local consumption as well as export.‎

Why dont you start with projects that wont last that long, expand and build better and standard roads.

Their are lots of projects that would get to the masses faster as time is no longer on your side.
Coupled with the situation of the economy, short term impactful projects are needed more.

I just feel we have only ear-marked campaign funds, just like the monorail that never took off..
You failed to tell us the kinds of projects that gets to the masses faster.

1. $11 billion project is a massive projects that connects many states and communities in Nigeria and apart from the fact that this is the largest infrastructure project in Nigeria and the whole of West Africa, it's set to create thousands of jobs all over many states and communities in Nigeria from construction jobs to food vendors and related sub jobs down the live. So, you mean the jobs created by this project won't feed and house thousands of Nigerian families?

2. Connecting the southern Nigeria or half of Nigeria via fast rail system with stops in economically important ports and commerce centers means increased economic growth and commercial activities in many states and communities which at the end of the day translates to improved taxes/IGR needed for infrastructural development including in your own state.

The enormous positive effect of this single project is limitless and it's even the best thing ever in Southern Nigeria.

$12 billion project in your backyard is money in your pocket and something to be very proud of...

Lol,

Who owns the seaports and airports in Lagos.

The whole of V.I, Lagos Island, ikoyi was developed by the FG.
1. Please tell us exactly how sea and airport in Lagos developed Lagos state.

2. Both sea and airports existed in Lagos before Nigeria as a country and even before installing Lagos as the capital of Nigeria.

3. Lagos as the federal capital of Nigeria was limited to Lagos Island and what actually developed Lagos state was industries, factories, and manufacturing plants built by the western region led by Awolowo.

4. There are FG sea ports and airports in other states and last I checked, there's a FG international airport in the SE region too and even a port too so why is it still so hard for the SE region to be like Lagos state since that's all it took the FG to develop Lagos state.?

5. The LASG is building 2 deep seaports as we speak so if seaports and airports are so important and necessary for your economic and infrastructural development, why are the leaders and the so-called rich, smart and industrious people in SE not initiating and building their own ports and airports?

6. The fact is, many states are moving on and investing in such infrastructures on their own to move their people forward, but all you people do is boast, beat your chest when it's not even necessary, but very incapable of doing anything on your own.

7. You have to cry and beg for bridge, cry and beg for airport, cry and beg for seaport, cry and beg for roads and even play victim while doing it. What exactly can you do for yourself? What?

8. The FG left Lagos for Abuja decades ago and there's been so much development in Lagos since so is the FG responsible for all that too or the competent leaders with good vision in Lagos state?

Lagos's past and future have nothing to do with your future and survival so why spend and waste time crying over Lagos state every day instead of focusing on your own states and vision-less leaders who can not come up with any worthwhile vision and ideas?

d igbo are in lagos because of 1 tin wich is sea port and air port. give us sea port and air port at anambra and aba, honestly many igbo wil go back 2 dia home.after lagos state in development d next state is anambra state develop by individuals mostly while lagos was developed by govt.
1. You people boasted all over the place that all you need is Onisha port and Enugu airport to dry up all the businesses and igbo people in Lagos, but the port is still there and you and your businesses are still in Lagos so port or no port and airport or no airport, Lagos remains the economic, entertainment, financial and everything capital of Nigeria.

2. Why do you people always say give us this and that port? People don't owe you anything. You say you own 70% of Lagos and nearly the whole of Abuja, but you still beg for everything, you still can not do anything on your own? Abi where are your so called billionaires abi they are just internet billionaires.

3. If igbo people are so powerful, rich and indispensable, what's stopping them from building their own seaports and airport? Not that you can build any seaport anyway, since you don't have any sea or ocean, all you can have is a river port which you already have and wasting away.

4. Other states are building their own ports and they don't cry or beat chest so build yours and stop dishing excuses for your failure.

Btw, FG did not develop Lagos.

bezimo:
Nope, Religion isn't the problem of Nigeria, many atheist and there likes have been disseminating this false and illconceived notion.

Religion is first and foremost personal and sometimes based on conviction, that other sectors of the Nigeria have refused to develop is not the fault of the religion of the people rather it's the institutionalised corruption and terrible leadership Nigeria has had over the years which has created a frustrating environment for those sectors to develop.

For instance that a Church built a school is not the reason why the government could not provide good roads and basic social amenities to improve the lot of the people.

And religion must be respected, it's part of the social and spiritual life of an individual, whether he is a Christian or Muslim, what's important is that they do their stuff peacefully respecting each other.

Mark Zuckerberg just realised and stated that religion is important, this is coming from a self confessed atheist-it shows you must respect what people believe.
Religion in Nigeria is part of the same corruption destroying Nigeria, politicians and corrupt church leaders work hand in hand to corrupt the society and promote corruption in Nigeria.

Churches collects money and they are all registered under our finance institutions on that basis so they must open their books and follow acts and laws like any other revenue generating entities in Nigeria.

The churches and pastors in Nigeria can not get away with what they get away with in advanced societies where we copied democracy from and in fact, such people go to jail those climes.

In spirit, I like and support this act because it protects the society and our interests.

These churches and pastors are nothing but corrupt thieves using religion to loot and fleece their church members and ultimately loot Nigeria because the crooked and corrupt churches, they own multi-billion naira for-profit businesses, own luxuries like mansions, private jets, TV stations and publishing houses that they hide under their churches just to deny Nigerians taxes and fees.

I know Nigerians are too knee-deep in religion to know what's good for them because these churches and pastors are denying them the same taxes they need for good roads, hospitals, schools, bridges, electricity and so on.
