15 member makes active ECOWAS, and Nigeria is one of the sole contributor and due to its large population, it is expected Nigeria will contribute more troops and financial resources , it is understandable but that those not exclude Ghana , Cote D'Ivoire also as one of the contributor .even guinea contribute.

Now take this home. Ghana is the second largest financial contributor to ecowas ( Nigeria is doing 700 Ghana is doing 300( figures are millions of dollars )Going by capital count , Ghana still contribute more than Nigeria .
Where was Ghana when our armed forces were in Sierra Leone? It's a fact that Nigeria contributes money wise and military wise way more than other countries in West Africa. You can go ahead and calculate the marginal sacrifice if you want.

Third Class student here in Nigeria dont earn a First Class easily there. How many of Nigerian first class students even went on to earn distinction abroad sef. Its time you people stop this ridiculous claims. Many of these people even use contract writers. Lol
An average Nigerian student will excel anywhere in the world. That's a fact. There's no way in hell a first class student in Nigeria will drop below that mark in any school abroad.
I've studied in two universities outside Nigeria, and I didn't have migraines like I did during my first degree in Nigeria and I performed far better.

That brutal grading scales transformed Korea to a first world country in just 40 years after end of WW2.
Parents here are built differently. What is life without children? Where our government has failed us our trained children becomes our social security in pensionable age.A family oriented man will sell his last possession to make his children excell in life.
No rest here when life is not balanced.Let them rest where they have back up. Sex is our major form of leisure,so we should have no fear of diminishing population.I welcome this gruelling education if it lifts us from a third world country to a better one in 40 years
Their success story is not about the grading system, but about some other economic policies. The effects of the educational policies had not even shown any signs of improvement before their economies started booming. In Japan for instance, the economy policies allowed Honda to start manufacturing cars instead of just motorcycles. Improvements in the quality of education and targeting science and technology did it for them, not the grading system.

That would have been better if that's the case, because none of them will run their family business the way they run the country.
Are you telling me they'd hire someone incompetent to do anything them just because of a quota system? Or do you think they'd spend their capital recklessly the way they do the national budget?
Again, the day politicians run the country just they run their business, we'll start seeing changes.

it is rather the opposite.. ECOWAS or ecomog are most often present in this kind of situation. Giving the kudos to Nigeria only as if she did it alone is am unnecessary pride . Other ECOWAS should also follow up.
And what is ECOWAS and ECOMOG without Nigeria? I just realized I'm responding to a kid.

Oga I'm from SW which is an agrarian state. I was watching nairametrics last week and a major exporter of agricultural produce was on there and he confirmed what I suspected that the volume of agricultural produce in the North dwarfs whatever is going on anywhere else in Nigeria.

We dey do ok in the south west but it's not even close, I was involved in a $14m investment drive to develop a corn starch/ cassava production facility in Oyo State so I understand the volume of production but even at that we don't put out anywhere near as much.

My own family own over 5000 hectares of land leased to farmers over, 1000 acres is used for palm oil and cocoa farming.

And the insecurity has made things worse, we will match I suspect in the future as there is a new appetite by young entrepreneurs to go into farming.
Cocoa and Cashew nuts are still at the top of agricultural exports in Nigeria. What are you saying? In case you don't know, I'm from the North Central and most of the touted agricultural produce from the North are coming there. The only comparative advantage the core north has in agriculture is tomato, onion and beans cultivation.

Infact ,Ghana together with Nigeria and Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone deploy forces to Benin as part of ECOWAS Standby Force to protect the government of Benin in the wake of the attempted coup.
Did Nigerian Air Force strike the fleeing coupists or not? Nobody told you other ECOWAS members troups are not there.
You mentioned Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone, countries where Nigerian Military have carried out successful operations in? The joke is on you lots.

It must be noted also that the North disadvantaged as it's main output is VAT exempt. Agricultural products for consumption in Nigeria is VAT free.

If Agricultural produce is taxed SW can't match any of the 3 northern regions.
Whatever makes you sleep at night. Shebi na only North dey go farm?
The largest cassava farm in West Africa is in ekiti state.
You think Yoruba people buy yams, Palm oil, maize, and cassava from the North? You're a learner. The North only have comparative advantage on some certain crops that don't require heavy rain.

Know this...

Anything needed to remove the tribal bigot that has betrayed everyone and everything needs to be done without compromise. He is so unpopular and has showcased a tactless governing style that has made NIGERIA a cesspool of failures. Even Obasanjo that is claiming sainthood now, will do worse than the Dundee in Aso Rock. Its a typical vharacter trait of people from that region.

The IGBO man resides in the North, raises his children in the North, does business in the North and Northerners have never told them anything relating to general bigoted statements. In the SW it's a general orientation and if I am you, I will advise that Atiku makes resounding statements about the North and SE alliance. Tinubu is a Grade A coward and those running the show for him are

His bigoted wife.
His Lagos GAC cartel
Wike is just a necessary evil
Hope Uzodinmma betrayed the North

All I know is that if the North plays the politics with the SE...Tinubu will NOT get a vote even by rigging.

Wike , is a major architect of TINUBUs playbook . Do underground works to know if results have already been written. Check the INEC chairman's bank accounts. The Judges, are compromised and that kekere ekun is the pivot of all their operations.

Dude ..my statement might be disjointed but as desperate as TINUBU is , he is surrounded by cowards.

He needs to be removed as President.
Count the North Central out of your northern calculations. The south east is free to marry their better half in north west and north east come 2027, the outcome won't be different from what you and I witnessed in 2023. You'll be roundly disgraced, again.

His greatest mistake was taking the American system for granted by billing for care he rendered to Veterans who have actually died. He shouldn't have done such abominable act, Nigerians always think they can outsmart any system and always feeling like government money is a free money for all like the corrupt Nigerian leaders and appointees believe in Nigeria and the reason they have wrecked Nigeria beyond repair angry
The fact that people died doesn't mean they won't pay what they owe. CEO don't handle billing in home care agencies, so I don't know why they're arresting him instead of taking the company to court.
I work with a company that provides platform as a service for care at home agencies in the US. Sometimes, bills are not paid for months after date of service. Service providers have to be paid for their time even if the patient died. He can only be guilty if the service date is after the patient expired.

Edit:
I just saw that he also functioned as the biller and submitted duplicate claims. Except he has convincing explanations, he's toast.

And what is service without money? Listen, power is useless without money. If you must serve the people, you must be willing to help them solve their problems.

If the poorest among them (in a country where the vast majority of the population is poor) approach you for financial support, you don't start telling them stories that touch. If you do, you are of no use to them.

Don't ever argue this again - power is useless without financial empowerment.
With power comes wealth. You can't be powerful and you're poor.

Nigeria needs a stringent law that compels all recruiters who published their openings in public domain to give feedback to all applicants.

It's irresponsible for a recruiter or employer to make applicants twerk their CV and cover letter to suit a vacancy and still get ignored after applying for that position.

People who ignore such applicants should be liable to 3 years imprisonment or a fine of 1 million paid to the applicant.
You're right. Nigerian organizations are fond of wasting people's time.
I left a company few months ago few months ago. They were interviewing people to replace me and I personally know someone that's one of them. After wasting people's time for three interview stages, the CTO referred someone who didn't participate in the process and they never even have the courtesy of telling those guys to move on till today. I mean, why put out vacancies if you knew you have someone you want to give the job to?

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Faces A Multifaceted Terrorism Crisis by DeOTR: 7:06pm On Nov 25, 2025
DrMB:
Nigeria faces a multifaceted terrorism crisis, which remains one of the world’s most complex and deadly terrorism theaters, with over 53,000 civilian deaths since 2009 and violence escalating further in 2025. Multiple overlapping drivers; jihadist ideology, resource exploitation, ethnic militias, criminal kidnapping syndicates, political patronage, and contested international aid, intersect to perpetuate the crisis.
Driven by ideological extremism, resource competition, ethnic tensions, and economic desperation.
Muslims and Christians alike, have died from targeted political violence, with groups like Boko Haram and its splinter Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) responsible for tens of thousands of deaths, displacements (over 2 million internally), and atrocities including mass killings, abductions, and sexual violence.
The crisis spans the northeast (jihadist insurgencies), northwest/north-central (banditry and ethnic militias), and increasingly the south, fueled by porous borders, weak governance, and transnational links to groups like Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and ISIS.
There are reported cases of Christian genocide," evidence shows targeting Christian communities in the Middle Belt, with over 52,000 Christians killed since 2009.
The Nigerian military has reclaimed territory and degraded leadership, but overstretch and human rights concerns persist.
What we are facing is the complete collapse of our national life as a result institutional failure which has fully manifested into a symptom of a failed state.
