The reason you have less than 50% is because inec hardly does a clean up of its records. The dead, those who have left the country etc still remain on the register as eligible voters. In terms of representation, the total number of registered voters in Nigeria is less than 50% of the population. This anomaly only exists in crooked systems like Nigeria. How can we say we have a population of mostly youths and yet our voting population is less than half of our total population?

Most countries I know use our own kind of system: the candidate that wins the highest votes more than any single contestant takes the crown.
The only problem I have is less than 50% registered voters determining the outcome of the polls. We should work on streamlining the process so people can vote securely without standing on the queue for hours just to choose their choice of candidates in an election.

The definition of majority vote according to our constitution is a candidate having more votes than other individual contestants, not all of them combined. As long as the person with more votes satisfies the conditions for voters spread, he's the winner.
You're expecting too much if you think someone alive will win an election in today's Nigeria, with majority votes over the cumulative of all other contestants total votes, without daylight massive rigging.
It's fair enough that the winner must have at least, a quarter of the total votes cast in 2/3rd of states and the FCT.

If he is saying that because of Obi then he is wasting his time because Obi will not qualify for a run off given his numbers

One of the reasons why the APC is infiltrating and destabilizing the opposition is because they know how badly they are performing. Folks who blame Atiku and Obi for the state of the opposition fail to realize that they are the least of the problems. For example, after Pa Lamidi's claim to the chairmanship of LP was dispensed off by the courts, Abure started plotting how to retain the seat of party chair, which though legitimate was untenable giving the deluge of accusations against him.

Same goes for PDP. Wike has been instrumental in keeping Damagum on seat through the courts. The game is to ensure that the PDP remains incapable of getting itself back on track. Wike is at loggerheads with the PDP. Why is he still there? Is it not to ensure that the party does not have a chance at stability?

So if we keep focusing on personalities, we will always miss the big picture which is the attempt by APC to ensure that the opposition remains weak towards 2027. A weak opposition ensures they are less accountable to the electorates

The people that didn't vote for Obi either voted for Tinubu or Atiku. That's some 15m+ people. Same for Atiku. Or should we just ignore that and focus only on the winner?
If you vote for a certain candidate and he or she turned out to lose, you didn't essentially voted against the winner, you only voted for your desired candidate, otherwise, you might as well say you voted against every other contestants, since you have just one vote.
We have conditions for runoffs, the total number people who didn't vote for the winner is not one of them.
I don't think there's any deliberate attempts by the APC to destabilize oppositions, at least, not the PDP. We still have two former presidents who ran on the platform of the party. Maybe be their silence means Wike is doing something right.

It was Bedfast Military Hospital.

The doctor smiled at me and said, "You are welcome. We thank God that you finally come around." My wife held me tight, and my daughter knelt down in tears.

"Daddy, I am so sorry for breaking your heart. Forgive me."

I held her hand to my chest and apologized to her for failing her when she needed my love the most as a father. "I am so sorry for letting you down, Jumoke. I too need your forgiveness."
"I forgive you from all of my heart."

For over 30 minutes, I wept without control…

It was in the midst of my tears that I was told how I got to the hospital. I fell down at the bathtub, landed my head on the floor, and passed out.

So, all I saw was a dream, vision, or revelation. I can’t even tell, but I learned a lesson I could not have learned any other way!

My daughter got pregnant four years ago and brought shame to the family and my reputation.

I swore never to forgive her till I die. For four years, she has been pleading, but I refused to listen. She needed my fatherhood desperately at the time, but I denied her.

This project are good, but this politicians will leave human development that would have positive impact. Road projects are usually inflated to suit the people in office and you won't understand except you are a professional in that field. Why are they all focusing on Road because efcc can not trace any loot to it.

Create an environment for people to thrive in business, give tax incentives and encourage SME, improve the education, provide seeds and fertiliser to farmers that will generate income which can build such roads, schools etc.

That's what people want to see and hear in developed countries and not infrastructure.
