The tax bill is not even looking to increase income tax for an average Nigerian, but to exempt low income earners and reduce the rate paid for some other categories of people, so I don't even understand your angle of reasoning.

Awolowo never made any promises to Ojukwu regarding secession of the West if the East should opt out of the federation.
When Awolowo realized Ojukwu has made up his mind, he only asked Ojukwu to promise him he will give him two weeks notice before making his proclamation and Ojukwu obliged, but went ahead to declare Biafra as soon as Awolowo left.
I'm not saying Awolowo truly starved anyone, but again, when going to war, don't leave your means of survival at the hands of outsiders. It's a lesson. Truly, all is fair in war. I believe Ojukwu would have done the same thing if he had that leverage.

Ojukwu promised Awolowo a two weeks notice before announcing his decisions, but what did Awo get? Ojukwu had declared biafra secession from the federation before the Chief got to Lagos. I don't know about other families, but I wasn't brought up to hate igbos, neither was there a time when any of my parents sat us down to tell us igbos are this and that.
I grew up with Igbo people. At least, I interacted with them in church and in school. I traveled to Igbo land with family friends and my Rev father when I was much younger, and my parents didn't any problems with it.
Whatever anti-Yoruba sentiments the young Igbo generation might have now stems from what their parents tell them about the civil war. It's not our fault they decided to go go to war. Calling us cowards, back stabbers because of the fallouts will be met with equal energy.
